Dec. 7th: Remembering Pearl Harbor with Honor and Respect to ALL

In the midst of today's news, let us pause and consider "where we are" on our historic calendar. Tomorrow marks the 65th Anniversary of the Attack on Pearl Harbor, and our entrance into the Second World War.

The 7 December 1941 Japanese raid on Pearl Harbor was one of the great defining moments in history. A single carefully-planned and well-executed stroke removed the United States Navy's battleship force as a possible threat to the Japanese Empire's southward expansion. America, unprepared and now considerably weakened, was abruptly brought into the Second World War as a full combatant.

On that fateful day, over 2400 men and women lost their lives in this unexpected attack. Please take a minute today to bow your head and to thank our Lord for their sacrifice. And let us all pray that we not ever be caught unaware again.
