"Federal Emergency Management Agency officials are ramping up preparations in case Tropical Storm Gustav builds as predicted into a major hurricane and hits the U.S. Gulf Coast. ,"We continue to monitor the storm and encourage individuals and families to review their preparedness plans," FEMA spokeswoman Elizabeth Childs said. Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert and US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, met on Tuesday to discuss the escalating tensions between Russia and the West over the Georgian crisis and US missile shields in Poland. With an eye towards its impact on the Middle East, Olmert and Rice also addressed the peace talks with the Palestinians. Though now on his way out of office, Olmert assured through a spokesman that he is still committed to reaching the Annapolis goal of a peace deal by the end of the year. But Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, the leading candidate to replace him as head of Kadima, now opposes Washington's effort to draft a summary document that outlines the areas of agreement between the parties.

· Lord, we pray against the plan to divide the land of Israel, and ask that You prevent it from succeeding. We bow our knees in repentance for our government's role in it, and declare that Your will alone for Israel shall prevail.

· And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. (Matthew 16:19)
