The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" (Revelation 22:17)

The Daily Brief

1. Israel releases 1973 war papers to warn Syria, Hizballah: Hands off Beirut! - DEBKAFile

Israel's Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Ehud Barak decided to release the minutes of the deliberations on an air blitz against Damascus - held in Jerusalem before and during the Yom Kippur War 37 years ago - as a strong warning to Syrian President Bashar Assad, debkafile's military and intelligence sources reveal. Then, a decision to take out Damascus to halt the Syrian offensive was overruled. This time could be different: Bashar Assad regime's own centers of power could be at risk if Syria and Hizballah go through with their plan to overpower Beirut and topple Saad Hariri's sovereign government.

- Almighty God, dispatch Your heavenly warring angels to Damascus and Syria and set up battlements around their walls closing out all enemy forces rendering them powerless. None can withstand Almighty God and His warring angels. Annihilate the armies of the nations who defy God. In Jesus Name.

- "The Lord will give strength unto His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace." (Psalm 29:11)

- "The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thunders: the Lord is upon many waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty." (Psalm 29:3-4)

4. Report: 1 Million Haitians in 1,300 Squalid Camps - ABC News

A refugee-advocacy group said Thursday that more than 70 percent of camps in Haiti, home to an estimated 1.3 million earthquake victims, lack proper international management nearly nine months after the disaster, leaving them at increased risk of sexual and gang violence, hunger and forced eviction.

- God in heaven, recover the millions of dollars sent to suffering Haitians nine months ago that has been gulped up by their greedy government. Hold those responsible for misappropriation of funds that was given to relieve this present condition. Release the money by the power of God so that it be used to help the suffering. In Jesus Name.

- "I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, says the Lord of hosts." (Malachi 3:11)

5. Report: Islamic numbers, influence surging - WND

'Situation really bad for Christians where Muslims are now in the majority in Europe'.

- God, bring forth Your angels to fight those who are oppressing Christians in Europe, as well as their citizens. Create a strong wind from heaven that will blow on every enemy camp to destroy them in all their wickedness. Resist the turmoil that they cause over the land and bring it under the hand of God. In Jesus Name.

6. Most Tea Partiers call America a Christian nation, study finds - CNN

Members of the Tea Party movement tend to be Christian conservatives, not libertarians, and are more likely than even white evangelical Christians to say the United States is a Christian nation, a detailed new study has found.

- God, strengthen any and all tea party participants in America. Undergird them with Your righteous hands and strength, so they become stronger and more effective to take back America by the will of God. In Jesus Name.

7. Government spending rises 9% - Washington Times

Basic government spending rose by 9 percent in fiscal 2010, driving the country to a $1.291 trillion deficit down $125 billion from 2009, but still the second-largest hole on record, the Congressional Budget Office said Thursday.

- Father, we call for an invisible cap to be placed by the hand of God upon further spending by this administration. God, defeat the forces whose goal has been to destroy America's solidarity through their counteractive moves to rob us financially. Pull the rug out from under their feet - so they fall into the pit they have dug for our destruction- and be destroyed by their own works. In Jesus Name.

-"But if the Lord make a new thing, and the earth open her mouth, and swallow them up, with all that appertain unto them, and they go down quick into the pit; then you shall understand that these men have provoked the Lord. And it came to pass, as he had made an end of speaking all these words, that the ground clave asunder that was under them. And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed them up." (Numbers 16:30-32)

8. Job Losses in 2009 Likely Bigger Than Thought - ABC News

The economy likely shed more jobs last year than previously thought, but analysts say the undercount by the government should prove less severe than it did during depths of the recession.

- Father, reveal the numbers that have been hidden for positive political gain. Uncover the lies and deception and establish the solid truth regarding the correct number of job losses and unemployment. In Jesus Name.

- "A righteous man hates lying: but a wicked man is loathsome, and comes to shame." (Proverbs 13:5)

FOX's "Glee" offensive, but reflects sad element of truth for today's prophetic times

Christians and Jews should be offended by the portrayal of their faiths by the pro-gay agenda television program Glee, aired on FOX October 5th. The episode centered around religion and how most of the cast of Glee did not believe in God. That said, many of them thought they believed in God, but their concept of God was so misguided that it reminds us of the condition of the modern Church. Notwithstanding, true believers ought to boycott the show and its sponsors--Toyota, Sprint and American Express. The religion that got a pass on this show was Islam--probably because the producers knew that ridiculing the [Muslimites] would have resulted in riots and deaths from the man-hallowed "religion of peace."

The main character, Quinn, burns his grilled cheese sandwich in the microwave, which emerges with the face of Jesus on it. Quinn started praying to the "Grilled Cheesus" for things like winning football games and having sexual relations with his Jewish girlfriend. When his so called "prayers" were answered, it caused quite a discussion among the Glee club members. Quinn said that a man had come into his life. Another guy commented that Quinn was finally coming out of the closet. Then Quinn said it was Jesus. And the same guy said, "That's even worse." The cast then trumpeted the benefits of God--being close to God because "I fall asleep when I pray." Or "I see God every time I make out with a new chick."

The flaming homosexual, Kurt, says he is an atheist. He says he doesn't go to church, "The reason I don't go to church is because most churches don't think very much of gay people. Or women. Or science." Kurt's father has a heart attack and goes into a coma. Much of the program focuses on how the Glee cast wants to pray for the father and the homosexual trying everything but God to save his father--even acupuncture from a Sikh. Kurt ends up in this powerful scene apologizing to his father for not allowing his friends to pray for him and saying, "I don't believe in God, dad, but I believe in you and I believe in us--you and me--that's what is sacred to me."

In the end, the cast is all together singing a contemporary version of "God is great," giving the impression that they all found their own way to God. The producers certainly wanted to ridicule Christianity and Judaism and then give the audience a Hollywood-style version of religion that everyone has their own path to God, whatever they decide. This is no trivial matter. 2 Chronicles 36:16 says, "But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy." Galatians 6:7 says, "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man sows, that shall he also reap."
