The Daily Brief

1. Italy's bank reportedly takes a 'Roman Holiday' leaving depositors holding the bag - WordPress.com

BNI depositors are unable to make withdrawals / payments, payments of utility bills, mortgage payments, taxes says Peter Giordano, Adiconsum: "Grave of the Bank of Italy's attitude that takes action without considering the impact on depositors, and especially on single-income families and pensioners." Adiconsum Bank of Italy asks for an urgent meeting and the lifting of the moratorium. The Bank of Italy authorized the suspension of payments by Bank Network Investments SpA (BNI) without communicating anything to the depositors.

- Lord, we pray for the Bank of Italy and other banks. We pray that banks would take the appropriate actions to honor the depositors. We pray for righteousness to arise, so that money would be safe, used wisely, and multiplied by the banks. In the name of Jesus, our Provider, we pray. Amen.

- Why then did you not put my money in the bank, that at my coming I might have collected it with interest? (Luke 19:23)

2. Earthquake - Asia - Turkey - Ubalert

Earthquake Research Institute, which initially announced the magnitude of the quake as 6.1, later revised the magnitude to 6.0. The quake, which took place at 3:44 p.m., was felt in Mugla as well as many other neighboring provinces in the Aegean and Mediterranean region.

- Lord, we pray that the earthquakes will shake people awake, and that they will come to You as their Savior. May Your glory come. In the name of Jesus we pray. Amen.

- For the Lord Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth. He will subdue the peoples under us, and the nations under our feet. (Psalm 47:2-3) Once more I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land; and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory says the Lord of hosts.
(Haggai 2:6-7)

3. Israel, Palestinians hold quiet meetings - Spacewar.com

While direct peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians remain in deep freeze, high-level officials from both sides have been holding a quiet dialogue on a range of issues, both sides said on Sunday.

- Lord, we pray that deception be exposed in these talks. We pray for decisions to be made on Your doctrines. We pray that leaders in these talks come to serve the Lord Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray. Amen.

- Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause division and offenses, contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. For those who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly, and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple.
(Romans 16:17-18)

4. Russian police raid homes of opponents of Vladimir Putin - Telegraph

Russian police searched the homes of prominent opponents of President Vladimir Putin on Monday in a clear warning he is losing patience with dissenters a day before a rally that could draw tens of thousands of people challenging his rule. The searches, which police launched at the apartments of opposition leaders early in the morning, were a new sign Putin is shifting to more aggressive tactics to quash protests as he starts a six-year term.

- Lord, we pray for Russia - and that the people will be subdued by You - and not a leader who does not know You. We pray for Putin, the Russian leader, that he would come to lead justly, and know that You are King over all the earth. In the name of King Jesus we pray. Amen.

- I rule the nations. I rule the earth.
(Psalm 46:10)

5. Indiana Radiation Spike Triggers Elevated Levels In Other States, Media Stays Silent - NaturalSociety.com

Independent radiation monitoring station owner Joey Stanford has uploaded a video showing spiked radiation levels as far as Colorado. Some individuals are questioning the actual source of the increased radiation, stating that it could be solar-based. Stanford created the video in response to the growing concerns over elevated radiation levels stemming from Indiana.

- Lord, we request protection from radiation. We pray for truth, and the source to be revealed in this report of increased radiation in some of our states. May people pray, and make their concerns known to You, Lord. We thank You for our protection and that You are our guard. Thank You for Your peace. In the name of Jesus, our Prince of Peace, we pray. Amen.

- Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be make known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.(Philippians 4:6-7)

The Middle East in Focus

This week, for all the headlines cited below, please join us in proclaiming THIS DECREE:

"He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way." (Psalm 25:9)

1. Panetta: US-Israel military cooperation stronger than ever - Jerusalem Post

US Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta hosted President Shimon Peres at the Pentagon on Monday, saying that military cooperation between the US and Israel was "stronger than ever, stable and ongoing."

2. South Sudan migrants 'ready to go home' - Ynet News

"All South Sudanese migrants want to go back home. Israel is not our country," one migrant told Ynet Monday as dozens of Africans were detained nationwide ahead of their deportation.

3. Police believe haredim spray-painted Yad Vashem - Jerusalem Post

Police believe haredi extremists covered monuments at the Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial and Museum in Jerusalem with hateful anti-Zionist slogans early on Monday morning.

4. Ulpana residents against PM's eviction plan - Ynet News

During negotiations with government officials, residents of the Ulpana neighborhood in Beit El have expressed their opposition to the government's plan to move five homes to a military zone within the West Bank settlement, Ynet has learned.

5. Palestinians: Vatican set to indirectly recognize annexation of East Jerusalem - Ha'aretz

The draft of an economic agreement between Israel and the Vatican contains no distinction between sovereign Israel and the territories occupied in 1967. The lack of a preamble containing such a distinction is at the center of heightened tension between Palestinian Christian denominations and the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Vatican.

The Daily Jot!

Laying the ground for the end time Beast

The United States, the European Union and Turkey are conspiring together to make public criticism of Islam a crime and to spread Sharia law worldwide. They are working through the little known "Istanbul Process for Freedom of Religion, Belief." This summit was held in Washington, DC in December and the European Union is slated to host the next one in July. Last December, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton spoke in support of UN resolution 1618 which seeks to combat "intolerance, negative stereotyping and stigmatization of, and discrimination, incitement to violence and violence against, persons based on religion or belief." This is the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's (OIC) push for a global law against criticism of Islam.

The December meeting was a follow up to a July meeting in Istanbul co-chaired by Clinton and OIC's Secretary General. It was also attended by EU foreign Policy Chief Baroness Ashton. The OIC website says the meetings are directed at "dealing with the issue of defamation of religions or incitement to hatred on religious grounds." It all sounds good--freedom of speech, protecting religious rights. The devil, however, is in the details. And the details are laying the groundwork for the rise of the antichrist from a prophetic end times standpoint. Islam is a global political system that uses false religion and violence to advance its political objectives, which are Marxist or fascist in nature.

Therefore, if one criticizes the terrorism or aggression of Islam, then one is also criticizing the Islamic religion. The OIC is intent on banning any kind of criticism of Islam, claiming protection from defamation as a religion. In reality, the OIC is fighting for the establishment of global Sharia law. One of its stated purposes is to "Strengthen intra-Islamic economic and trade cooperation; in order to achieve economic integration leading to the establishment of an Islamic Common Market"--in other words, have Islamic control over all global markets. Another is "to remove misperceptions" of Islam and "Elimination of discrimination against the Muslims in all forms and manifestations."

The US, EU and Muslim States through the OIC began their quest in Istanbul to eliminate all criticism of Islam. Whether it's done in the name of free speech, religious speech or international dialogue on human rights, the goal is Islamic domination using the US and the EU as willing dupes. That it began in Istanbul, Turkey, that houses Magog and was once part of Assyria, has significance. There are multiple references in the Bible that the end time "Beast" is the Assyrian. For example, the Lord says in Isaiah 14:25, "I will break the Assyrian in my land, and upon my mountains tread him under foot." The spirit of the Beast is revealed in the Istanbul Process and the prophecy clock is advanced aided by Hillary Clinton and the EU.

The Victory in Wisconsin

From: The Madison Report

www.madisonproject.com

As you all know by now, last Tuesday also saw a huge victory for conservatism in Wisconsin as Scott Walker not only survived Big Labor's attempts to recall him, he won going away. Why was this election so important? One, this victory was not about Scott Walker. It was about an elected official who had the courage to stand on conservative principles and no matter how much was thrown at him (the kitchen sink included), he continued to stand on principle.

Conservatism won. The free markets won and what's even more exciting is to see Wisconsin being transformed by Walker's Budget Repair Bill. School districts are saving millions of dollars, Wisconsinites are watching their property taxes plummet for the first time in a decade and businesses are looking to move into the state.

But what is even more exciting is the fact that this victory was made possible by the tea party movement. As my brother Ned and I have said many times to the media, Wisconsin was and is so important not just because of the Budget Repair Bill, but because for the first time, the vaunted labor union ground game was squaring off with the tea party in the political trenches and every time, from the Spring 2011 election, to the senate recalls to the Walker recall, the tea party won.

The Republican Party did not win on the ground in Wisconsin. The tea party did and it did so because it was energized by someone willing to take a stand on principle and fight for what was right. This is great news for this fall and I believe the political landscape in America changed last Tuesday night-and the Left knows it.

Fellow conservative patriots,

The House is in recess this week, leaving the entire focus on the farm bill in the Senate. We must also work to block confirmation of a radical judge to the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. It's quite possible that the Supreme Court will issue its ruling on Obamacare. That will completely alter the focus and dynamic of the political news on the Hill for the rest of the month.

National Security Leaks

One of those most irresponsible, dangerous, and malevolent acts of this administration is its penchant for leaking sensitive national security and intelligence information to the media. Defense and intelligence officials who worked in both Democrat and Republican administrations have expressed concern over the specificity of details that were leaked to the media regarding the killing on Osama bin Laden. In recent weeks, the administration has egregiously leaked to the New York Times the fact that there is a "kill list" for drone attacks and that intelligence officials have been involved in cyber-attacks on computers inside Iran. This, more than any other action taken by the administration, exemplifies Obama's disdain for American and callous disregard for its security.

Conservative concerns: Obama must be held accountable for these leaks. Unfortunately, Republicans are barking up the wrong tree. They are insisting that Obama appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the leaks.

In response to the request, Eric Holder has appointed two US Attorneys (who donated to Obama and work for Holder) to "investigate" the source of the leaks.

The problem is that there is no mystery here. The articles in the New York Times openly reveal that they received their information from numerous administration officials of all levels. It is clear that Obama and his highest ranking aides released this information to burnish his credentials as a tough wartime president. Instead of wringing their hands over a special prosecutor, Congress should unilaterally conduct their own hearings and expose the administration on a daily basis.

Reagan: Tear Down This Wall

Twenty-five years ago today, President Ronald Reagan delivered one of the defining speeches of his presidency. He traveled to Berlin, Germany, which was at that time a city divided by one of Soviet Communism's most visibly oppressive symbols -- the Berlin Wall.

Rather than seeking accommodation with the Soviets or rationalizing away the evil that wall represented, Ronald Reagan took a stand for freedom and boldly declared, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!"

That was the beginning of the end of the Soviet Union. Two years later, the Berlin Wall came down, and two years after that the Soviet Union collapsed as well.

Click here to watch that historic speech by one of America's historic leaders.
