Prophetic end time undertones as President's UN speech validates Islam

The occupant of the Oval Office used his speech to the United Nations as a worldwide platform to support Islam. There is hardly any other way to look at it. His diatribe on religious intolerance and condemnation of free speech and freedom in general is found in a twisted esoteric viewpoint. He expressed a worldview that changed the meanings of words and the accounts of events to support the most antichrist system in the world--Islam. While he talked about being a Christian, he defended Islam, by even quoting Ghandi, a prominent Hindu. The president's UN speech is an example of all that is wrong with his view of this nation and the world it influences.

He said, "In every country, there are those who find different religious beliefs threatening; in every culture, those who love freedom for themselves must ask themselves how much they're willing to tolerate freedom for others. That is what we saw play out in the last two weeks, as a crude and disgusting video sparked outrage throughout the Muslim world. Now, I have made it clear that the United States government had nothing to do with this video, and I believe its message must be rejected by all who respect our common humanity." The president is obviously missing the point: Was the video true? Was the characterization of Muhammad true? Instead, he said, "It is an insult not only to Muslims, but to America as well."

It is insulting to America that a president would be an apologist for terrorists and murderers looking for an excuse to practice their trade. To his credit, he said that there is no video that justifies killing, but then he invoked his twisted logic: "More broadly, the events of the last two weeks also speak to the need for all of us to honestly address the tensions between the West and the Arab world that is moving towards democracy." He speaks about how the US sided with the people in Libya, Egypt, Yemen, and Tunisia to bring them freedom through "democracy." What he doesn't tell is the truth about Islamic "democracy"--that the people are manipulated into voting for tyranny under the Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda. That is not freedom by vote, it is trading one tyranny for another.
He then makes a telling statement. He said, "The future must not belong to those who slander the prophet of Islam." Any Muslim that knows the Qur'an would understand that this president solidly came down on the side of Islam by this very sentence. Islamic eschatology insists that there is no future for the infidels and one is an infidel if one slanders Muhammad. In fact, the central doctrine of Christianity is found in John 14:6 when Yeshua said, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me." By proclaiming this and living by it, you are slandering the so-called "prophet of Islam." And this president, who claims he is a Christian, says the future does not belong to those who disagree with Islam. There is no clearer statement by this president as to his religious beliefs and the prophetic direction he is taking America.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

On the Campaign Trail

On the Campaign Trail:

40 Days Until Election Day

WHY THE POLL NUMBERS ARE ALL OVER THE MAP

Have you noticed that the political polls have been all over the map lately? Is Obama up 8 in Virginia, or just 1? Is Romney up 6 in North Carolina, or is Obama up 4? How about nationwide? Gallup and Rasmussen show a tie, but Pew shows Obama up 8. And so and so on.

What is going on?

For starters, remember what polls are and what they're not. They are a snapshot in time - but not a good gauge on voter decision-making. In fact, they're a terrible way to conceive of the thought process that the average swing voter goes through to make his choice.

Many a voter is truly undecided, and will in fact change his mind before Election Day - but may still tell a pollster, "I'm for Obama!" simply because he enjoyed Bill Clinton's speech at the Democratic National Convention.

That leads to the second point: It has been only two weeks since the DNC ended, which means Obama is still enjoying a bounce in the polls. And that bounce can be higher or lower, depending on how tightly a pollster screens likely voters (or polls of adults who are deemed likely to vote by the pollster).

Think of it this way. You consider yourself a Democrat but normally don't vote nor pay much attention to politics. But the convention excited you and made you feel good about politics for the first time in a long time. You get a call from a pollster whose only question to screen for likely voters is, "Are you certain to vote?" Still riding high from the DNC, you answer, "Absolutely!" And thus you are included in the poll.

But if the pollster were to ask other questions like, "How often have you voted in the past?" Or, "How much attention were you paying prior to the conventions?" You'd answer, "Rarely" and "Not Much" - meaning you would probably get screened out of that sample.

That is one way to explain the wide variation in the polls - how many Democrats or Republicans are included versus how many are screened out. . . (Intercessors for America)

Note: This is an excerpt from a lengthy article at the IFA website. Please go there and look for "On Watch in Washington" to read the entire posting. We are unable to post a link to the article itself.

Prayer offered by IFA:

- Pray for wisdom and righteous decisions to be made at this year's November 6 elections. Pray that all U.S. citizens seek God's wisdom before casting their vote.

- "How blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, nor stand in the path of sinners, nor sit in the seat of the scoffers! But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night."
(Psalm 1:1-2)

"Spiritually Swinging The Swing States"

A Special Report Issued by Intercessors for America

Intercessors for America has published an Election Prayer Guide to Swinging the Swing States. This excellent, in-depth, 12-page analysis frames the key issues in the battleground states for both the House and the Senate races, and offers suggestions for prayer for each one.

In conclusion, IFA also offers these thoughts for prayer:
1) Pray for Christian communities within each of these states and regions to seek God for His will to be done.

2)Intercede for godly leaders to be chosen, and for just government and sound decisions. Ask the Holy Spirit to be present all throughout the voting process.

3) Pray that the Lord would use His followers to "strengthen the weak hands, and make firm the feeble knees" and "say to those who are fearful-hearted, 'Be strong, do not fear!'" (Isa. 35:3-4)

4) Appeal to God that the outcome, and this next chapter of state leadership, would bring blessing to each resident.

Akin All In

Akin All In

Yesterday was the deadline for Rep. Todd Akin to bow out of the Missouri Senate race and have his name removed from the ballot. He did not leave the race. He is the candidate, and his name will be on the ballot as the Republican nominee.

If you are in a line of work where you have to talk all day, which is what most politicians do, you will make mistakes. (See Joe Biden.) Akin made a big one.

But let's be absolutely clear about this. The media and some in the GOP establishment are suggesting that Akin's mistake was to talk about the sanctity of life. That's wrong. Too many in the party establishment are making an even greater mistake by saying too little about values issues in this campaign!

Todd Akin's mistake was that he addressed one of the most difficult questions related to the sanctity of life in an inartful way that seemed insensitive to the victims of rape. But Akin's mistake was compounded, in my view, when the party establishment came down on Akin with more passion and disgust than they have ever come down on Barack Obama for his radical positions, even supporting infanticide in cases when a baby survives an abortion!
So where are we now? Todd Akin is 100% closer to the values of Missouri voters than liberal Democrat Claire McCaskill. On every major issue -- Obamacare, taxes, values -- Todd Akin is with us; McCaskill is not. If Republicans are going to take the majority in the Senate, we need to win this seat.

Conservatives like Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum and Phyllis Schlafly have made it clear they will do everything they can to win this seat. So will I. We will announce our plans soon. (Gary Bauer)

Yom Kippur: David's Tent Visitation!
(Part Two)

Sobering Thoughts

This "Esther" minced no words in encouraging us to stand with Israel, and pray for Israel. She shared that many in Israel compare these days to the time just before two specific wars. She referenced the Yom Kippur war, where Israel experienced miraculous deliverance and victory. Many are also comparing 2012 to 1939. Where the world ignored hate-filled rhetoric which led to the slaughter of 6 million Jews, even while launching many nations into the Second World War.

Please Pray: Of all the places our new friend could visit on Yom Kippur, this Jewish woman came to David's Tent. Specifically to compel us to pray for Israel. This mandate is your invitation as well.

Florida School Revises Speech Policy

Students at Palm Beach State College (PBSC) may now express themselves freely on the school's campus after administrators agreed to change its speech policy

"Palm Beach State did the right thing in agreeing to suspend its outright ban on free speech," said Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) Senior Legal Counsel David Hacker. "We commend them for their decision to respect the constitutionally protected freedoms of their students and hope other colleges with similar policies will follow their example."

In 2010, college officials denied Young Americans for Freedom (YAF) members permission to hand out literature from The Heritage Foundation at a student-organization fair. Administrators also, prohibited them from distributing information in the "free speech zones" citing "speech policies" as their reason.

According to ADF, PBSC policies further denied constitutionally protected rights by requiring advance permission from the dean two weeks prior to off-campus events held on weekends or past 9 p.m. on weekdays; at least two adults had to be present at these activities.

In January 2011, PBSC agreed to a court order that halted the policy, which demanded that speakers obtain permission from school officials 24 hours in advance. PBSC also told the president of YAF the college banned literature distribution entirely.

The revised policy does not require students to get permission to speak or distribute literature on campus, nor must they confine their speech to designated zones. (CitizenLink) Read more.
