The Daily Brief

1. Pentagon May Court Martial Soldiers Who Share Christian Faith - Breitbart

The Pentagon has released a statement confirming that soldiers could be prosecuted for promoting their faith: "Religious proselytization is not permitted within the Department of Defense. . .Court martials and non-judicial punishments are decided on a case-by-case basis. . .Being convicted in a court martial means that a soldier has committed a crime under federal military law.

- Lord, when the unrighteous are in power over a nation, laws that on the surface seem good are often twisted. We ask that You take on this case and protect the freedom OF religion within our armed forces.

- "If the Son shall make you free, therefore you shall be free indeed." [John 8:36]

2. Marathon bombing suspect texted 'LoL' when confronted by pal: FBI - Fox News

When the alleged Boston Marathon bomber was told by one of his friends that he resembled one of the suspects in the widely released surveillance video, he sent a chilling response: "Lol, you better not text me," an affidavit unsealed Wednesday said.

The brief interaction between bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and his friend Dias Kadyrbayev occurred three days after the April 15 bombing, the affidavit said. Kadyrbayev was among three others charged Wednesday for allegedly conspiring to get rid of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev's incriminating backpack filled with gutted fireworks.

Read more:

- - Father, how sad that these friends decided to help the bomber rather than the people of Boston. We ask that You touch their lives with Your mercy and love so that truth will gain a foothold in their hearts forever.

- ". . if sinners entice you, consent not." [Proverbs 1:10]

3. Glenn Beck: Boston Manhunt Reminds of Nazi Germany- Tru News

Nationally known media personality Glenn Beck said the police response to the Boston Marathon bombing attacks reminded of Nazi Germany, with door-to-door searches to root out Jews during the Holocaust. Of special fright was the photo of a tank in the city with its gun seemingly pointed at a resident who's taking the picture from a second-floor Watertown home window, he said, Mediaite reported. It reminded of his trip to Auschwitz, when he reflected on how people's neighbors "were just dragged out into the streets," Mr. Beck said.

Read article:

- Abba Father, as Glenn Beck points out, the tactics used in Boston appeared to be extreme. Continue to direct the investigation concerning others who may have been involved. Direct us how to pray, Lord, in Jesus' Name, Amen and Amen.

- For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; He is a shield to those who walk in integrity, Guarding the paths of justice, And He preserves the way of His godly ones. Then you will discern righteousness and justice And equity and every good course. (Proverbs 2:6-9)

4. Sensitive Army Database of U.S. Dams Compromised; Chinese Hackers Suspected - Washington Times

U.S. intelligence agencies traced a recent cyber intrusion into a sensitive infrastructure database to the Chinese government or military cyber warriors, according to U.S. officials.

Read article:

- Increasingly our nation's computer systems are being invaded by overseas hackers and all kinds of sensitive data is obtained. Lord, we ask You to guide the security staff who are suppose to guard this data, as to how to block and prevent these dangerous assaults on our nation's computer based data. Have mercy Lord, and raise up Your right hand and extend Your arm to confront these hackers in Jesus' Name, Amen and Amen.

- Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; and in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge until these calamities have passed by. (Psalm 57:1)

5. Navy unveils first squadron of drones amid debate over use in warfare- Fox News

The Navy is inaugurating its first squadron with unmanned aircraft, formally adopting drone technology amid debate over its growing use in warfare. Military officials will launch the maritime strike squadron called "Magicians" on Thursday at the Naval Air Station North Island base on Coronado, near San Diego.

- Father, we are sensitive to the need for the protection of America at this dangerous time, but we are suspicious of the intent of this administration toward American citizens. We cannot depend on men alone for our help, so we pray that You will guard us all against the actions of a few.

- "Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the Name of the Lord our God." [Psalm 20:7]

6. NYC Elementary School Goes Vegetarian - CBN

New York City, the metropolis that brought us bans on sugary drinks, is now the home of the first public elementary school with an all vegetarian cafeteria.

Read article:

- O Heavenly Father, we repent for our nation, as we are being given dictates more and more from the government as to how to eat, live, and house ourselves. We should have been following Your 'ancient pathways' as shared with us in Your Word. Instead, we as a nation have moved more and more into greed, selfishness, and fell into destructive and sinful ways, turning away from You Lord. Protect our rights as citizens, in Jesus Name.

- Blessed is he who blesses you, and cursed is he who curses you. (Number 24:9b)

"My help comes from YHWH, who made Heaven and earth." (Psalms 121:2)

1. Israel sends message to foes to North and South - Jerusalem Post

Tuesday's air force strike in Gaza was a surgical, precise attack on a weapons manufacturing expert who, according to the security forces, played a key role in developing the rocket capabilities for global jihadi groups in the Gaza Strip.

It is these small but highly radical al-Qaida-inspired organizations, led by the Ashura Council of Holy Fighters in the Environs of Jerusalem, that refuse to recognize or abide by the Israel-Hamas truce, and that use both the Sinai Peninsula and the Gaza Strip as a rocket launching pad to strike at southern Israel.

2. Israel's Netanyahu says would put peace deal to referendum - Reuters

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday he would put any peace deal with the Palestinians to a referendum, raising expectations that direct negotiations might soon resume following a two-year stalemate.

It was the second time in just three days that Netanyahu has publicly mentioned the possibility of holding a nationwide vote on an eventual accord and came as U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry met Israeli politicians in Washington to discuss talks.

"If we get to a peace agreement with the Palestinians, I'd like to bring it to a referendum, and I'd like to talk to you about your experiences with that," Netanyahu said as he met Swiss Foreign Minister Didier Burkhalter.

3. IDF launches surprise drill in northern border - Jerusalem Post

In the shadow of ongoing northern tensions, the IDF launched a large-scale surprise drill and called up 2,000 reserves to the North on Sunday evening to test its ability to quickly engage Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Pray for the Harvest!

Pray for the Harvest!

"Do you not say, 'Four months more and then the harvest'? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest." (John 4:35)

Every day, in every nation on earth, tens of thousands of men and women are making decisions for Christ. Now, you can monitor this amazing fact online by literally "watching" as these souls are born again into the Kingdom.

Of course, the identities of those who are coming to the Lord are never revealed, but our God knows who they are!

Join us as we monitor these "names" daily, praying over each one to be mentored and to grow in his or her faith . . . even in these perilous times. You may visit either or both of the sites below, to pray for fields that are ripe for harvest.
