Immediate Call to Prayer, Fasting, and Repentance

August 29, 2013

" . . . if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Immediate Call to Prayer and Fasting

Immediate Call to Prayer, Fasting and Repentance

Thursday, August 29, 2013

Dear Prayer Partners,

The hour is urgent; the need is clear . . . it is time to call for a day of prayer, fasting and repentance before the Most High God that He might yet show His mercy upon our people, and grant His wisdom to our governing authorities.

Please meditate on the verses below, and stand in agreement with all of us at Capitol Hill Prayer Partners that God's will shall be done in the Middle East, in our nation and in Israel in this hour.
We also ask our Lord to bring forth leadership in this hour who will hear His voice, obey His will, and lead our people to safety. As we pray for our own citizens in the United States of America, we pray, too, for every citizen tonight in the nation of Israel . . . that they be kept safe from their enemies.
Thank you for joining us today in a time of prayer, fasting and repentance before our Lord . . . for we are not without sin.

May Abba hear our cries, forgive our sin, and heal our land. Amen.

The Scriptural Decrees

(For the Body of Christ)

Zephaniah 2:3 (NKJV)

Seek the Lord, all you meek of the earth,
Who have upheld His justice.
Seek righteousness, seek humility.
It may be that you will be hidden
In the day of the Lord's anger.

(For the media)

Isaiah 29:24 (The Message)

"In holy worship they'll honor the Holy One of Jacob
and stand in holy awe of the God of Israel.
Those who got off-track will get back on-track,
and complainers and whiners learn gratitude."

(For the government)

Psalm 72: 1-4, 18,19 (NAS)

"Give the king Your judgments, O God,
And Your righteousness to the king's son.
May he judge Your people with righteousness
And Your afflicted with justice.
Let the mountains bring peace to the people,
And the hills, in righteousness.
May he vindicate the afflicted of the people,
Save the children of the needy
And crush the oppressor."

Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel,
Who alone works wonders.
And blessed be His glorious name forever;
And may the whole earth be filled with His glory.
Amen, and Amen.
