- "So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God." [Romans 10:17]

In an unusually pointed rebuke of an ally, Israel said on Wednesday that it was "deeply disappointed" by Secretary of State John Kerry's remarks a day earlier that appeared to lay primary blame on Israel for the crisis in the American-brokered Middle East peace talks.

3. Israeli, Palestinian negotiators reportedly set to meet again amid crisis in talks - Jerusalem Post

The Daily Jot

Kerry, not Israel, is the "Poof" moment

In May 2013, analysts said that Secretary of State John Kerry had a "messiah complex" about being "the one" to finally broker a peace agreement between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Newsmax reported in May 2013, for example, that "Kerry's plan remains opaque, even to officials in the [sic] Administration." He didn't need a plan. He saw himself as the only one who could wrestle peace from the jaws of hatred. Now, the peace messiah is primarily blaming Israel for why Kerry's messianic pixie dust didn't settle the peace. He told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that Israel announced building new houses and didn't release Palestinian prisoners on time, and "Poof, that was sort of the moment."

Pretty strong nuance for the nation's chief foreign policy diplomat. One that was quite offensive to Israel. An official in the Israeli's Prime Minister's office told the NY Times that Kerry's remarks "will both hurt the negotiations and harden the Palestinian positions." He said, "Secretary Kerry knows that it was the Palestinians who said 'no' to continued direct talks with Israel in November; who said 'no' to his proposed framework for final status talks; who said 'no' to even discussing recognition of Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people; who said 'no' to a meeting with Kerry himself; and who said 'no' to an extension of the talks." Israel's official statement said it was "deeply disappointed" by Kerry's remarks.
Of course the pro-Islamic bullies in the occupant of the Oval Office's administration were not going to let that stand. Kerry's spokeswoman Jen Psaki called on the Israeli media to put Kerry's comments in proper context. Psaki told reporters on Wednesday at the State Department, "He was frankly surprised by the coverage of his comments. He doesn't believe... that one side deserves blame over another. What he did yesterday was simply restate the chronology of events of last week which took place." Later, Kerry and Foreign MInister Avigdor Liberman met at the State Department where Liberman told Kerry that "everyone in Israel knows that you are a true friend." But the damage is done.

From the beginning this "president" has disrespected Israel's Prime Minister and Israel's position. Putting Kerry in charge of the peace process is in step with that disrespect. In September Israel's Defense Minister said that Kerry operates "upon an unfathomable obsession and a messianic feeling" and "The only thing that can 'save' us is that John Kerry will get a Nobel Peace Prize and leave us alone." And "Poof" that sums up Kerry and his credibility. We know that the only one who will ever bring peace to Israel is the true Messiah, Jesus Christ. Until then, Jeremiah 6:14 is in play: "They have healed also the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace."

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

NYC Churches Violated Again

NYC Churches Violated Again

After years of being repeatedly denied equal footing with other non-profit organizations to rent unoccupied NYC public school buildings for weekend services, a three judge panel from New York's Second Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled against the churches again. ADF Attorney Jordan Lorence says they will appeal the ruling to the full court. Pastor and NYC Councilman Fernando Cabrera hopes Mayor Bill De Blasio will keep his campaign promise to reverse the discriminatory policy decreed by former Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Even if so, the case must proceed to correct this ruling.

Prayer:

God defend your people and the Churches of New York City! May those in authority do right and honor the rights these churches are guaranteed by the Constitution and Bill of Rights!

Verse:

For thus says the Lord of hosts, "After glory He has sent me against the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you, touches the apple of His eye." (Zech. 2:8)

E.O. Pushes Congress Aside

E.O. Pushes Congress Aside

Lacking congressional support to raise wages or end gender pay disparities, President Barack Obama is again imposing his policies on federal contractors, in keeping with presidents' tradition of exerting their powers on a fraction of the economy they directly control.

Obama signed an executive order Tuesday barring federal contractors from retaliating against employees who discuss their pay with each other. The order is similar to language in a Senate bill aimed at closing a pay gap between men and women. That measure is scheduled for a vote this week, but is unlikely to pass.

Modern Christians have sparse New Testament instruction to guide our intercession. What we do have, however, is clear and without equivocation. First, we must submit to human government, "for there is no authority except from God" (Romans 13:1). Disobedience is permissible only when one must choose between obeying God's Word or man's laws (Acts 4:18-20). Second, we are to intercede and give thanks for "all who are in authority" (1 Tim. 2:1-4). On the basis of God's sovereignty then, we pray for President Obama and all who govern. They are accountable to Almighty God, as are we all.
"Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." (1 Tim 2:1-4)

The Heavens Are Speaking

The Heavens Are Speaking

This month marks my 5th anniversary as president of Intercessors for America, and while I have never ventured into prophetic waters, followers of our ministry know IFA's history of reliability and accuracy. With that in mind, I offer a prophetic word for our day, believing we are about to see a great move of God. How do I know? Let us read God's Word.

"I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth. . . The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord." (Joel 2:30-31)

"And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved . . . there will be deliverance . . ." (Joel 2:32)

"For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. For 'whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.'" (Romans 10:12-13)

The Awesome Potential of Nation-Changing Prayer:
A Report on the Afghanistan Prayer Initiative and Election

It was a privilege for me to be part of an international team that spent five days in Afghanistan to pray for the nation (March 25-30) and its historic election that was about to take place on April 5. We arrived to the sound of big bomb explosions as the Taliban were trying to destabilize the election process by attacking polling centers and international observers.

On Friday afternoon, March 28th, when the international Christian community normally would have met for worship, five suicidal Taliban attackers blew up a massive car bomb outside the venue and attempted to rush in and kill as many of the believers as possible. Our team would have undoubtedly been there as well, but, by God's mercy, the meeting had been called off for that day. However, nineteen adults and children were there for a tea party to welcome the new pastor. As the weapons fire began, when armed guards next door fired upon the Taliban, those at the tea party hid in a bathroom until the Afghan special forces rescued them. A woman and five children across the street were also protected during the attack and escaped without harm. All five Taliban extremists were killed or blew themselves up in the process and unfortunately two other Afghans were also killed.
This incident gave extra impetus to our prayer and we stayed up till midnight interceding that day with an encouraging sense of the Lord's presence and guidance in prayer. We also prayed with NGO workers and local believers and had other strong times of prayer within our team as the Lord led us to focus on various issues- the growth of the church, the election, the development of women and their rising status, the new generation and children in prayer, and of course the overthrow of the Taliban and their violent extremism. It was an anointed and encouraging time!
Subsequently, one prayer initiative participant wrote about the election on April 5 : "There were no problems at all. I think only on the Pakistan and Afghanistan border. So to sum this up, the election went very well. I understand there are a few reports of ballot stuffing, but very few. The Afghans I know are excited about the election. In the 2009 election, I was here and there were 2000 explosions in Kandahar City, this election there were no explosions.
Yesterday morning, as I was walking in the city, I felt like the Lord said it is a new day and that he was going to come and move mightily in this nation. I looked around and it was very clean air all day, no dust. I felt like this was a sign from the Lord for what he was bringing to this land. Interestingly, throughout the day, Afghans said that today was the beginning.

About 40 years ago there was a Christian church in Afghanistan, and it was destroyed by the government. Within 24 hours the government of Afghanistan was destroyed and has been in war ever since. We believe that since the (former) Islamic government or Taliban attacked the church here, it will be destroyed as well."

Another expat worker wrote to say: "The elections yesterday went fine. Huge turnouts, in spite of the threats by the Taliban, and in spite of the rain and cold. And no report of any terrorist attack on election polls! Some places ran out of ballots and had to look for more. You and your team were here at exactly the right time!!!"

What an awesome privilege and responsibility the Lord has put before us in praying for the nations! He stands ready to answer even a few intercessors banding together to listen and pray out His heart for their nation (Matthew 18:18-20). He will use their prayers in the Spirit to bring new hope and change where things look desolate and discouraging.

The Good News Corner:

The Miracle in Chile

April 1st: Chile experienced an 8.2 mag earthquake along its coastline. This is one of the most seismically active places on the earth. Usually this occurs with great loss of human life.

I want you to see what happened, most people missed this . . . A great miracle happened! The death toll was 6 -- Not hundreds. Praise the Lord!! Praise Jesus!!!

Signs and Wonders

Signs and Wonders:

Earthquake Report 4/6/14

[This report was submitted by a partner in prayer and a geologist. Name withheld upon request.]

There's a lot to talk about . . . I will discuss Oklahoma and the recent Chile events as well as my perspective spiritually and as a geologist.

Oklahoma: We have experienced 174 earthquakes this year as of 3/8/14

1 earthquake of Magnitude (4.00) (1%)
51 earthquakes of Magnitude (3-3.99)
117 earthquakes of Magnitude (2. - 2.99)
5 earthquakes of Magnitude (1.0 - 1.99

In 2007 we began to see an increase in the number of earthquakes in Okla-homa. We are still in this pattern; I expect that we will continue. There is a fault line that runs thru central Oklahoma north to Nebraska, called the Nemaha fault; I believe that it is responsible for some of the seismic activi¬ty in central Oklahoma. Time and science will indicate how much of a fac¬tor; water injection, fracking, and removal of oil, gas, and produced water affect the rock. The oil industry has been conducting all of the above since at least 1920, only in the last 5-6 years have we seen an increase in seismic activity. The Oklahoma City Field opened in 1928, and is considered one of the world's giant oilfields, along with the Glenn Pool Field in Creek County. I believe there's more going on here than meets the eye.

I believe that God is continuing His plan for the earth and the men and women of God. Which is to say the bringing of His Kingdom into the earth through men and women I call gap standers. Earthquakes are a Release of pressure\ strain within the rock layers. In the release, waves called the P and S waves are released . . . the P wave is the first one to arrive and is felt in an up and down movement. Shortly thereafter the S wave arrives moving perpendicular rolling. . . This is one way the earth speaks. Some of us have heard the P wave arrive, most of it is too low in frequency for us to hear. All creation sings and praises our Lord. I believe the rocks are praising and crying out to the Lord and the "sons of God".
What is the result of the land becoming redeemed for the Lord, the sin removed from the actual rock? I believe that the result is a slow rising from the weight of the sin being lifted off. This is called isostatic rebound through a process of isostasy. Sometimes it happens more quickly as in December 2013 at COTR during intercession/decreeing for the education system in Oklaho¬ma, we registered a 4.5 close to Lake Arcadia.

Some people pray that God would shake the earth; some people pray that God would stop the earthquakes.

My prayer is that you would pray for God's will to be done on this earth as it is in heaven and decree life and call the earth blessed Isaiah 62:4 NAS Become a gap stander !

"And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near."
(Luke 21:25-28)
