A Statement from the Embassy of Israel

We would like to bring to your attention the developing story of three teenagers, two Israelis and one possibly with dual Israeli-American citizenship, feared kidnapped in the West Bank. The event is still unfolding, and the IDF and security forces are conducting a widespread operation in order to gather necessary information and locate them. The three teenagers were last seen Thursday night in the area of Gush Etzion.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is currently holding a security assessment of the situation, at his Tel Aviv office, at the Defense Ministry, with the participation of Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon, Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch, IDF Chief-of-Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz and the ISA. The Prime Minister previously held a security consultation at his Jerusalem office with the participation of Defense Minister Yaalon and Public Security Minister Aharonovitch.
Since 2013, over 64 kidnapping attempts were foiled by the IDF & ISA, most of them directed by Hamas prisoners in Israeli jails.
We encourage you to stay tuned to social media channels of Israeli officials for confirmed and accurate information:

Palestinian Salafists claim credit for kidnapping

Report: Palestinian Salafists claim credit for kidnapping Israeli youths in West Bank

An extremist Salafist organization in the West Bank is claiming responsibility for kidnapping three missing Israeli youths, Channel 10 is reporting. The organization, Dawlat al-Islam, released a statement saying that the abductions were aimed at taking revenge against Israel for the killing of three of their operatives in the West Bank months ago. There has been no official confirmation of the claim's veracity.

Security forces fear that three teenage yeshiva boys, all 16 years of age, were kidnapped in the West Bank after they went missing from a hitchhiking spot in the Gush Etzion area Thursday night. The youths went missing during the course of Thursday night and security forces are conducting sweeping searches of the area.

The Jerusalem Post has learned that one of the three is an American citizen. US Ambassador Dan Shapiro has been briefed on the situation.

PA Says They are Not Responsible

As search continues, PA says they are not responsible for missing teens' security

PA spokesperson denounces Israel for blaming kidnapping on Fatah-Hamas unity government, says PA not responsible for safety of settlers in Israeli-controlled Area C.

A Palestinian Authority spokesman denounced Israel for blaming the new Fatah-Hamas unity government for the disappearance of three settlers in the West Bank, Palestinian news agency Ma'an reported Friday night.

Adnan Dmeiri said the PA was not responsible for the safety of settlers and had no way to prevent the possible kidnapping of the teenagers.

The PA "is used to accusations from [Prime Minister Binyamin] Netanyahu's arbitrary government, which does not want to commit to any agreement and wants to damage all relations with Palestinians," he was quoted as saying. (Jerusalem Post) Read more here.

Dear Fellow One Year Bible and Torah Readings Intercessors . . .

It is nearing midnight in Jerusalem after a very sad day in Israel where three 16-year old Yeshiva students named Gilad, Eyal and Jacov were kidnapped by an extremist terror group called Dawlat al-Islam. This Salafist organization in the West Bank is claiming responsibility for the kidnappings of the students as they were hitchhiking in the West Bank. Dawlat al-Islam says this is an act of revenge against Israel for the killing of three Dawlat al-Islam operatives in the West Bank months ago. One of the students is reported to be an American citizen...

A burned out car was found in the south Hebron hills . . . and is likely the kidnap vehicle destroyed to remove the evidence. This was a well planned attack. To make matters worse, the imams and terror leaders have called for the kidnapping of not only soldiers, but civilian Jews as well. This could explode very quickly. Israel must have YHVH's help and wisdom against this great threat.
According to Ha'aretz, the teens, students at the Makor Chaim yeshiva, were thought to be hitchhiking to Modi'in, a city halfway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. When they did not arrive home or make contact with their families, the yeshiva informed the authorities. Israeli security forces are focusing on obtaining intelligence on the incident.

Israel Defense Forces chief Benny Gantz has ordered combat units to remain on high alert. "Everything we are doing in these hours, and in the coming hours, is an attempt to go back and retrace what happened there in that area, and understand where they are now and what happened to them," said a senior IDF official. IDF Spokesman Moti Almoz said during a press briefing that forces have been searching for the teens since Friday morning. He cautioned against speculation and rumors that have been circulating all day on Israeli social media.

Prime Minister Netanyahu held an emergency meeting Friday afternoon at the Kirya, the IDF's Tel Aviv headquarters. Among the officials taking part in the meeting were Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon, Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharanovich, Shin Bet chief Yoram Cohen and IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz.

Praying for Their Safe Return

Praying for Their Safe Return

(Submitted by one of our Prayer Partners)

1. Pray that the details of this kidnapping will be made known, that the boys will be found safe, and that the perpetrators will be apprehended.

2. Pray that compassionate Palestinians, who may have information about this event or the location of the boys, will come forward regardless of the threats against them.

3. Pray that this search and investigation will not be prolonged; giving more time for explosive events to take place.

4. Pray that all Jewish hitchhiking throughout the land will stop.

5. Given that a call has gone out from various terrorists organizations and leadership (for a large-scale kidnapping effort against Jewish civilians, as well as military personnel) pray that the Lord to intervene. Pray that not a single additional kidnapping will take place. Pray for the people of Israel to be wise and discerning. Pray for everyone to be wise, and four children to be obedient to their parents in regard to hitchhiking. Pray that no deadly opportunity will be given to any terrorist.

6. Pray that the international community will be listening and watching, so that they can see for themselves the fruit of this Palestinian unity government. May the hearts of those, who supported this deceitful and corrupt unity government, as well as left ruse of Palestinian statehood, be filled with shame!

7. Pray for divine comfort to be upon the family members of these missing young men, and upon those searching for them. In the event that these young men are still alive, pray that the Messiah will reveal Himself, and be near to them.

8. Pray that YHVH would send his angels to lead the search teams, and to shield those boys.

9. Pray for our Prime Minister to openly speak to the people of Israel regarding this matter -- no longer keeping a sensitive ear open to measure international condemnation having no regard for political correctness. Pray that Bibi will be seen and heard as a true father the Jewish people, and a wise leader of this nation in this time of great pain.

10. If a military response is required, pray that it will be strong, well-timed, and effective. Pray that this situation will not be used for political purposes, but that the Israeli government will stand together in unity, as one voice.

11. Pray that not one single Palestinian prisoner will be released for these boys whether they are dead or alive. Is time to call an end to this deadly prisoner release strategy of the Palestinians, which endangers all Israelis.

12. Finally, ask our Lord to give His divine wisdom and strategies to Prime Minister Netanyahu and his staff, not only in locating these three young boys and bringing them home, but also to prevent these kidnappings from happening again.

A Word of Promise

A Word of Promise:

Isaiah 43:4-7
"Since you are precious in My sight,
Since you are honored and I love you,
I will give other men in your place and other peoples in exchange for your life.

"Do not fear, for I am with you;
I will bring your offspring from the east,
And gather you from the west.

"I will say to the north, 'Give them up!' And to the south, 'Do not hold them back.' Bring My sons from afar And My daughters from the ends of the earth,

Everyone who is called by My name, And whom I have created for My glory, Whom I have formed, even whom I have made."
