The Daily Brief

1. China will use gold and gold pricing to force global currency reset - Examiner

On Sept. 30, statistician and economist Dr. Jim Willie was a guest on the Caravan to Midnight radio show to talk about current financial, economic, and geo-political events. During his three hour interview, Dr. Willie stated that one of the purposes behind China's creation of the new Shanghai gold exchange is to eventually take over global price controls for the monetary metal away from the Comex, and then force a global currency reset by raising the price of gold to its true or actual value. (Read more)

- Father, we pray protection over our economy. Protect your people from this world's system and the future chaos that is predicted to come. Give us foresight to prepare our finances, and to put our trust in Your provision.

- "Let go [of your concerns]! Then you will know that I am God. I rule the nations. I rule the earth." (Ps 46:10) [God's Word Translation]

2. Rabbi Says Disturbing Incident on Holy Day Left Synagogue's Holocaust Survivors 'Fearful' With Emotions That 'Haven't Come Out for Years' - The Blaze

Kushner said he watched the faces of those Holocaust survivors as "davening went on throughout (Thursday) and the crowd in the shul grew" and saw they "were very, very visibly moved in a very emotional and a very fearful way," he told the Jewish Exponent, adding that was "worse than the physical damage." (Read more)

- Father, we surround this Rabbi and his congregation with Your protection. We pray that all plans to harm Jewish congregations around the world will be stopped. Foil all such plans, In Jesus Name.

- The LORD foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples. (Psalm 33:10)

3. US tanks arrive in Baltics, Poland requests greater US military presence - Reuters

- Father, we pray the U.S. responds favorably to the Polish Prime Minister's requests for greater military presence. Protect Poland from those that would try and harm them, in Jesus name.

- " . . . no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD and their vindication from me, declares the LORD." (Isaiah 54:17)

4. Bachmann: Obama could be laying the groundwork for a WWIII - Fox news

Republican congresswoman slams president's 'Kabuki theatre' strategy to fight ISIS. (Video) To see her remarks, go here.

- Father, we pray for decisive decisions on the part of our government regarding ISIS. Surround this administration with many wise counselors who hear from heaven, and may the "president" listen and take action on their counsel.

- Then David asked the LORD, "Should I chase after this band of raiders? Will I catch them?" And the LORD told him, "Yes, go after them. You will surely recover everything that was taken from you!" (1 Samuel 30:8)

5. Concerned, US Airlines Contact Government About Ebola - Voa news

U.S. airlines and their trade group Airlines for America are in close contact with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on actions the U.S. government is taking to address Ebola health concerns, according to a spokesperson for JetBlue.

The statement comes a day after the first case of the deadly virus was diagnosed in Dallas, Texas, prompting concerns that others may have been exposed to Ebola before the victim sought hospital treatment. According to U.S. health officials, the man sought treatment six days after arriving in Texas on Sept. 20. (Read more)

- Father, give wisdom to our officials on taking strict measures to protect us against Ebola, both here and overseas. Give them the foresight to do what is necessary to stop the spread of this disease.

- Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. (Psalm 91:3)

6. ISIS to open its first consulate in Istanbul - AWDNews

The so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) intends to inaugurate its first diplomatic mission in Istanbul in order to provide consular services for all who wish to join the extremist group in Iraq, reported Turkish daily Aydinlik as saying.

Abu-Omar Al-Tunisi, the ISIS de facto head of foreign relations issued a statement, saying that the Islamic Caliphate is determined to launch its first diplomatic mission in a friendly and Muslim country. He further noted that the ISIS hopes that the bilateral relations with Ankara will witness more developments under the aegis of newly-elected president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

ISIS also claims that its consulate in Istanbul will pay the hospital bills of all wounded Islamist militants who traveled to Turkey to receive medical treatment. (Read more)

- Lord God, as we read William Federer's American Minute today, we see that history may now be repeating itself. ISIS' desperate attempt to reestablish its caliphate is now clear, with possible headquarters once again coming out of Turkey. Spare us, O Lord, and have mercy upon the souls of these, our enemies. May Your Kingdom come soon, we pray, in Jesus' name, amen and amen.

- "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10)

7. Turkey approves military operations in Iraq, Syria - Fox News

ANKARA, Turkey - Turkey's parliament approved a motion Thursday that gives the government new powers to launch military incursions into Syria and Iraq and to allow foreign forces to use its territory for possible operations against the Islamic State group.

Parliament voted 298-98 in favor of the motion which sets the legal framework for any Turkish military involvement, and for the potential use of Turkish bases by foreign troops.

Meanwhile, the militants pressed their offensive against a beleaguered Kurdish town along the Syria-Turkey border. (Read more)

- On the other hand, Lord, we see an opposite report from the one above. We ask that You inrtervene, Holy God, to draw a bloodline around ISIS activities in Turkey, and that You place Your firm hand upon the Turkish government as it now enters into the battle against ISIS in Iraq and in Syria. We ask this in Your name, amen.

- "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven." (Matthew 18:19)

8. 'Khorasan Group' is new name coined by Obama for old foe, critics claim - Fox News

The Obama administration is being accused of coining a new name for an old nemesis by dubbing an Al Qaeda offshoot "The Khorasan Group."

From Rush Limbaugh to the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, critics are dubious of the corporate-sounding name rooted in an old term that describes an area on the Afghanistan-Pakistan border and are charging that it may have been introduced last month as a way to avoid invoking the name Al Qaeda, the terror group President Obama once claimed had been "decimated."

Middle East experts were long familiar with the term "Khorasan," but its use as part of a terrorist organization's formal name does not appear in recent online searches prior to Sept. 13, when The Associated Press characterized the militants as a "cadre of veteran Al Qaeda fighters" from Afghanistan and Pakistan who traveled to Syria to connect with the Al Qaeda affiliate there, the Nusra Front. (Read more)

- Once more, we see the game of "sleight of hand" being played out by this administration. Abba Father, we thank You for those who have carefully examined the record and found that the term "Khorasan" is simply a new term for an old enemy. Lord God, we repent of the lies and deception that continue to come from the White House, and we ask that, in this season of judgment, You would awaken Obama and his leaders to begin speaking truth, instead of lies. We ask this in Jesus name, amen.

- "Let no man deceive you . . ." (I John 3:7)

9. ISIS THREAT TO MILITARY FAMILIES - Fox News

Warning terror group scouring social media looking for 'slaughter' targets

An Army intelligence bulletin is warning U.S. military personnel to be vigilant after Islamic State militants called on supporters to scour social media for addresses of their family members - and to "show up [at their homes] and slaughter them."

The assessment, obtained by Fox News, came from the Army Threat Integration Center which issues early warnings of criminal and terrorist threats to Army posts worldwide.

The advisory warns military personnel and their families about the Islamic State, or ISIS, calling on supporters to target their homes.

While there is no independent intelligence to corroborate the ISIS threats, the bulletin recommends more than a dozen precautions to military personnel to protect their homes -- and their online profiles. (Read more)

10. Texas health officials widen search for Ebola patient's contacts to 100 - Fox News

Public health officials in Texas acknowledged the possibility that someone else could contract Ebola, widening their search Thursday for 100 individuals possibly exposed to the first Ebola patient diagnosed in the U.S.

According to the Dallas County Health and Human Services, this group of 100 potential contacts were identified by the group of 12-18 people who first came into contact with the infected man, identified as Thomas Eric Duncan. ADVERTISEMENT "It's constantly evolving, people are going to get added, people are going to get dropped off," Dallas County Health and Human Services spokeswoman Erikka Neroes told FoxNews.com. "How many people will contract Ebola, we don't know that. [There's a] possibility someone may. We're out there working to make sure [it's] under control." (Read more)

- Lord God, we now turn to You, Holy One, for only You can rescue us from this pestilence. We ask that You send forth Your ministering angels to protect us from this virus, as we fall on our faces before You in repentance for our sins. Help us, O Lord, we pray, for our hope is in You. In Jesus' name, amen.

- "Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long." (Psalm 25:5)

1. US-Israel ties in crisis over East Jerusalem building plans -Times of Israel

US-Israel relations were plunged into crisis Wednesday, soon after President Barack Obama and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held talks at the White House that began with a good-natured joint press briefing.

News that a Jerusalem planning committee had signed off on the final stage of approval for housing in a major new neighborhood of East Jerusalem - made public in a press release from anti-settlement group Peace Now just before the White House meeting - prompted the administration to issue some of the strongest language it has employed to condemn Israel, including the warning that Israel was endangering its relations with "even its closest allies." 2. In meeting with Netanyahu, Obama calls to change Israeli-Palestinian 'status quo' -Times of Israel

WASHINGTON - With a display of mutual empathy and support, Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and US President Barack Obama held their first meeting Wednesday since the collapse of the Israeli-Palestinian peace process and the summer's 50-day Israel-Hamas war.

Obama noted that Israel was facing a "a very turbulent neighborhood" and reaffirmed "the unbreakable bond between the United States and Israel." Netanyahu praised Obama's leadership against Islamic State terror, and his firm backing for Israel.

At a brief press appearance before their formal meeting, marked by warm body language, smiles and firm handshakes, Obama said the US was proud of its role in saving Israeli lives via the Iron Dome rocket defense sytem, as rockets from Gaza poured into Israel.

Obama said new efforts were needed to tackle the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. "We have to find ways to change the status quo so that both Israeli citizens are safe in their own homes, and schoolchildren in their schools but also that we don't have the tragedy of Palestinian children being killed as well," Obama said. 3. Tzipi Livini: 'The Bennetts' are a danger to zionism - Jerusalem Post

In response to approval of southeast Jerusalem building, Justice Minister Tzipi Livni said that "the Bennetts" who oppose a two-state solution are "a danger to the Zionist enterprise" and are of greater concern than Peace Now, which writes reports on construction in Jerusalem and the West Bank.

"The Bennetts" is a reference to Bayit Yehudi leader and Economy Minister Naftali Bennett. "If we want to keep Jerusalem and the settlement blocs in a future agreement, we must act wisely and not take steps that could erode international support for Israel," Livni told Israel Radio. (Read more)

4. Women, Children Barely Escape Terrifying Jerusalem Rock Ambush - Israel National News

The security situation in Jerusalem continues to be unbearable for many Jewish residents, as every day brings another story of Arab violence against Jews. At around 2:00 p.m. Thursday, a young married woman in her 20s and three girls aged 16-17, all residents of Maaleh Zeitim, were surrounded by a rock-throwing mob in A-Tur. The woman was driving the girls home after school.

According to M., who also lives in Maaleh Zeitim, the driver had decided to take the less-used road through A-Tur because the Old City is full of traffic due to the holiday and tourist season. "In addition, there were riots recently near Shaar Shchem (the Damascus Gate); the Wadi Joz road is trafficky and also runs through an Arab neighborhood, so they decided to take the a-Tur road. It's not a road that we drive through a lot but they thought this was their only option."

"There was a lot of traffic," M. told Arutz Sheva. "They noticed that a crowd was forming behind their car. They felt that something was going on, and the feeling was verified when a rock hit the car. As Jerusalem residents - this in itself is something we are familiar with. It has happened to all of us before.

"They tried to press forward in traffic, but meanwhile, they saw that a crowd was coming toward them. They called security. They called the Mount of Olives hotline but it simply does not pick up the phone. They called the police, who tried to get them to describe their exact location, but the call got cut off. The police called them back, and tried to get some information about where they were and what was going on, but did not give them any advice. (Read more)

- Father we pray for the safety of the residents of Jerusalem. We ask that You protect them from the vicious attacks against them. We continually pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Father, we know that certain things have to happen according to Your will, but please have mercy over the innocents. In the name of Yeshuah, amen.

5. Terror Attack in Samaria Thwarted by IDF - Israel National News

Two terrorists in their 20s were prevented from conducting a terror attack on Thursday at Tapuach Junction in Samaria, located just east of Ariel.

Upon arriving the two raised the suspicions of IDF Border Patrol officers stationed at the scene. Upon investigating the two they were found to be in possession of three explosives, an improvised pistol and several knives. The would-be terrorists were arrested and brought in for continued investigation by the Shabak (Israel Security Agency). Read more

- Lord God, please place Your hand of protection over this area. Father, we ask that You stop the terror attacks before they are able to be completed. Reveal the plans of the enemy and direct the IDF on how it can continue to protect the people of Israel. In the name of Yeshuah, amen.

Ebola In America: Day 2

Ebola In America: Day 2

Forty-eight hours after reports of the first confirmed case of Ebola in America made headlines, the news isn't getting any better. The more we learn the more questions we have.

We now know that the Ebola victim, Thomas Duncan, DID inform the hospital staff during his first visit that he had recently been in Liberia. That very same hospital had also just performed "a run-through of procedures to follow if an Ebola case presented there." In spite of this, confusion prevailed and Mr. Duncan was sent home with antibiotics.

Yesterday, we were told that officials were monitoring approximately 12 to 18 people for possible contact. Today the New York Times reports that officials have "reached out to as many as 100 people who may have had contact" with Duncan. Those being closely monitored include five children who attend four Dallas schools.

Understandably, many parents are worried. Some are keeping their kids home today. And, of course, they are being criticized for doing so. But when a hospital fails to follow its own procedures and when the number the people being monitored quintuples in 24 hours, it's hard to blame parents for having second thoughts about the information they are getting from health officials.

By the way, left-wing demagogues are now using Ebola to advance their racial and ideological agenda. Louis Farrakhan is calling Ebola "a race targeting weapon" created to kill black people. The Obama Administration has not yet condemned this disgusting claim. As you may recall, the church Barack Obama sat in for nearly 20 years gave this black Muslim demagogue an award! (Gary Bauer)

The Daily Jot

White House War on Children

It is no stretch of the imagination to say that the president and his Administration are waging war on our children. There has been great push back from parents on the first lady's school lunch program. But that is just window dressing. If you want to get stirred up about something, start thinking in terms of border security and the threat that brings to every child in America from disease to personal security and everything in between. It's as if this "president" has declared war on our children. Currently, health officials are reaching out to some 100 people who may have been in contact with the first Ebola victim in the US. This infected person was in contact with five children in four different schools.

But that is just the tip of the iceberg. On September 28, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issued a Health Advisory to doctors about a mysterious polio-like virus that's causing acute neurological illness and paralysis in children. The cases occurred between August 9-September 17 among children aged 1-18 years old. The nine children all had fever and respiratory illness about two weeks before developing varying degrees of limb weakness. The CDC confirmed that it is considering the possibility that the nationwide outbreak of EV-D68 is causing the polio-like illness. They are asking doctors to report any similar neurological illnesses to the CDC.

WesternJournalism.com reports, "the CDC and our Federal government are completely ignoring the fact that this virus seems to have been spread by illegal immigrants who've been dumped throughout the country - thanks in large part to the [sic] administration. Although it's received very little mainstream media coverage, the current outbreak of EV-D68 is common to El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua, three countries where a bulk of the illegal immigrant children come from. These unaccompanied illegal immigrant children have been allowed into the nation's school systems without medical screenings and without required vaccinations." The site says 25 children in California came down with similar symptoms in February.

The "president's" refusal to stop this massive invasion on our Southern border is endangering our children. The mainstreaming of these illegal children into America's public school system is a direct attack on the well being of our children. Furthermore, with the evidence of Islamic radicals transcending the porous Southern border, there is no guarantee that any government--local, state, or federal--can protect from terrorists attacking our schools. This negligence is unconscionable. As Jesus said in Luke 17:2, "It would be better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he was cast into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble." Discern and act.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Bad News For Obamacare

Bad News For Obamacare

A year ago yesterday Obamacare debuted with a disastrous, glitch-plagued website that has cost taxpayers nearly $1 billion. Obama and his Democrat allies promised we'd all come to love Obamacare over time. Are you loving Obamacare now? I didn't think so.

A new poll finds that 60% of likely voters want Obamacare repealed. That will only happen if we first "repeal" Obama's Democrat majority in the Senate!

But there's even more bad news for Obamacare. This week a federal court struck down Obamacare's illegal subsidy scheme.

As we have previously noted, the plain language of the law is very clear: taxpayer-funded insurance premium subsidies were supposed to be available only in states that set up their own exchanges. The law was intentionally written this way, using the money to entice the states to get on board. Even the liberal "architect of Obamacare" understood that.

But as more and more states refused to expand their own bureaucracies to do Obama's bidding, the Obama IRS simply ignored the law and made the subsidies available coast-to-coast.

That blatant disregard for the law was too much for Judge Ronald White. "The court holds that the IRS rule is arbitrary, capricious, an abuse of discretion or otherwise not in accordance with law," White declared, adding that "the court is upholding the act as written."

Stay tuned, folks. This is the second federal court to strike down Obamacare's illegal subsidy scheme. This issue could potentially gut Obamacare. (Gary Bauer)

A Time to Get Out The Prayer!

A Time to Get Out The Prayer!

America is in rapid departure from God and in a deep spiral of moral and spiritual descent. This fact is starkly clear to Christians. The Bible declares that such things lead to national judgment. The biblical warning signs of national judgment that appeared in ancient Israel have now reappeared in America. Scripture teaches that repentance and intercession by God's people can help facilitate revival, healing, and restoration.

This prayer initiative is not about praying for specific candidates or parties to be in power, but rather is about praying for God's will to be accomplished on a local and national level. Before we get out the vote, let's get out the prayer and seek Him as we approach the upcoming November elections.

A Look at the Ottoman Empire

Historian Arnold Joseph Toynbee died OCTOBER 2, 1975.

Source: The American Minute

[ A note from CHPP: if you read this entire article, with graphics, be prepared for a brutal experience. Perhaps, however, this is now necessary . . . We do want to thank William Federer for another excellent article, including amazing documentation about the history of the Islamic enemy we now all face.]

He wrote about the Ottoman Empire (the original caliphate):

"The Ottoman Empire literally drained its victims' blood . . . a Vampire-State is unparalleled in the history of the world."

Toynbee authored many history books, including Greek Policy Since 1882 (1914), and The Murderous Tyranny Of The Turks (London, New York: Hodder & Stoughton, 1917).

We now quote, in part:

" . . . This Ottoman dominion, which started thus in the 13th century with a few square miles of territory in North-Western Asia Minor, expanded during the next 300 years till it stretched from within a few miles of Vienna to Mecca and Baghdad.

It destroyed the Ancient Empire of Constantinople, which had preserved Greek learning during the Middle Ages; the free Christian kingdoms of Bulgaria, Serbia, Bosnia, Wallachia, Moldavia and Hungary. . .

Such a career of destructive conquest was a disaster to civilization, and it was only made possible by a ruthless militarism. . .

[At the end of this very long article in American Minute, Toynbee is quoted, as follows]:
Toynbee concluded:

"So what does the universe look like? . . .

It looks as if everything were on the move either toward its Creator or away from Him . . .

The course of human history consists of a series of encounters . . . in which each man or woman or child...is challenged by God to make the free choice between doing God's will and refusing to do it.

When Man refuses, he is free to make his refusal and to take the consequences."

The Good News Corner:

The Five Times Netanyahu Brought Biblical Prophecy to Life at the UN

During his powerful speech at the UN General Assembly on Monday night, Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu cited Biblical prophecy once again; something that he has done in many speeches in the past.

According to a Breaking Israel News (BIN) report, Netanyahu was "clearly telling the world that Israel will not stand idly by as the Jewish nation's enemies try to slander and destroy the nation."

Said Netanyahu in his address: "Isaiah, our great prophet of peace, taught us nearly 3,000 years ago in Jerusalem to speak truth to power. 'For the sake of Zion, I will not be silent, for the sake of Jerusalem, I will not be still until her justice shines bright and her salvation glows like a flaming torch.' Ladies and gentlemen, let us light a torch of truth and justice to safeguard our common future."

In his address last year, Benjamin Netanyahu again noted Scripture, saying: "In our time the Biblical prophecies are being realized. As the prophet Amos said, 'They shall rebuild ruined cities and inhabit them. They shall plant vineyards and drink their wine. They shall till gardens and eat their fruit. And I will plant them upon their soil never to be uprooted again.' Ladies and gentlemen, the people of Israel have come home never to be uprooted again."

The Euphrates River- Time meets Prophecy

Research released last year undertaken by NASA and the University of California revealed a substantial decrease in the volume of ground water reserves in the Tigris and Euphrates river basins bordering parts of Turkey, Syria, Iraq and Iran.

Over a seven year period, beginning in the year 2003, both river basins lost 144 cubic kilometres of total stored freshwater, the drought in 2007 no doubt being a major contributory factor accounting for this figure. Researchers claimed that 60% of the loss "is due to pumping of groundwater from underground reservoirs." Meanwhile demand for fresh water continues to rise amongst the area's populace and because of different interpretations of international laws; the region does not co-ordinate its water management which could further jeopardise supply.

Recently, Al-Akhbar.com has reported on aggressive action by Turkey against Syria, in the form of suspension of the pumping of Euphrates water supply to the region, also threatening Iraq, which could result in a major water crisis. Consequently, the water level in Lake Assad, Syria, has decreased about six meters leaving millions of Syrians without drinking water.

The result of this action by the Turks could result in a major catastrophe, in both Syria and Iraq, which will be examined here.

According to Al-Akhbar, Ankara reduced the pumping of Euphrates water to Syria over a month ago, cutting off the supply completely around the middle of May.

A source warned that "losing water supplies in the dam means that the silt in the lake will dry off which would pressure its structure, subjecting it to fissures and eventually total collapse."

The Euphrates has been a source of conflict between Turkey, Syria and Iraq historically, Ankara insisting it being a "trans-boundary river" and not an international one, and subject to its laws.

A temporary agreement was signed in 1987 between Syria and Turkey, to share the water supply of the Euphrates during the period when the basin of the Ataturk Dam was being filled. Turkey pledged to provide an annual level of over 500 cubic metres of water a second on the Turkish- Syrian borders, until reaching a final agreement about sharing the water supplies of the river between the three countries. Syria registered the agreement at the UN to guarantee the minimum amount of Iraq and Syria's right to the water from the Euphrates river.

However, it's not only Turkey that has the 'switch' to dry up the Euphrates, drought in Syria and the misuse of the waters in Iraq are considerable factors, this actually happened in July of 2009 as reported by the New York Times.

Daniel Pipes in his blog Daniel Pipes.org explains that the Turkish government's ability to completely stop Euphrates waters from leaving the country and flowing into Syria is a feat made possible by the enormous reservoir behind its Ataturk Dam.

The significance of this is that Turkey could at will, use its technological control of the Ataturk Dam to quickly and easily dry up the flow of the Euphrates in order to achieve military advantages, such as allowing military troops and trucks to cross over the Euphrates on dry land.

This is prophesied to actually happen in the last days. (Source: News24)

Today's Birthday on the Hill

Almost every day of the year, a member of Congress or a Senator is celebrating a birthday. Let's lift up these men and women, day by day in prayer on their special day, that God might bless them and show them His love for each one. Indeed, let's move together in obedience to the Lord's mandate in I Timothy 2:1-4. It is written:
"I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people - for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth."
