1. Policeman on Brown: 'He Grabbed My Gun, He Twisted It, Pointed at Me' - CNSNews.com

One day after fatally shooting Michael Brown, an unarmed black teenager, Ferguson, Mo., police officer Darren Wilson, who is white, gave his account of the incident to two detectives from the St. Louis County Police Department, explaining in detail how Brown attacked him through the police car's open window, wrestled for the officer's gun, and then pointed it at him. (Read more)

- Father, as the evidence has now been released to the public of what actually occurred in Ferguson on Aug. 9, we thank You that light will shine in the darkness of that day. May peace now reign in the gates of this city. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen and amen.

- "These are the things that you shall do: Speak the truth to one another; render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace." (Zech. 8:16)

2. Evidence: Michael Brown Was High on Pot and Carrying a Bag of It - CNSNews.com

Michael Brown had THC, a behavior-altering substance found in marijuana, in his system when he was killed on August 9th by Ferguson, Missouri, police officer Darren Wilson, according to a toxicology report performed at a St. Louis University lab.

The toxicology screen, which was done on Aug. 10th, found "12 nanograms/ML of Delta-9-THC", the primary psychoactive ingredient in pot, in Brown's bloodstream at the time of his death. This amount of Delta-9-THC in Brown's blood was more than twice the amount that in Washington State--where marijuana is legal--would allow someone to be arrested for driving under the influence.

"Delta-9-THC detection in the blood defines impairment," according to the report. THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol) "seriously impairs judgment and motor coordination," according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH). (Read more)

- Lord God Almighty in Heaven, we come to You tonight, asking for Your hand of mercy to rest upon the youth of our nation. May this lab report be trumpeted across our land, and cause all to wake up to the deadly consequences of any form of drug abuse. Lord God, have mercy, we pray, in Jesus' Name, amen.

- "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." (Romans 8:28)

3. Former FBI Official: Obama's Ferguson Statements 'Have Only Served to Divide' - CNSNews.com

Ron Hosko, former assistant director of the FBI's Criminal Investigative Division and current president of the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund, said remarks by President Barack Obama and some other federal leaders about the shooting of Michael Brown and the grand jury's non-indictment of police officer Darren Wilson "have only served to divide."

"The president, the attorney general and many others who presume to be speaking for them have put a rush to judgment ahead of a need to determine, and base words and actions on, the facts," Hosko said in a statement released Monday evening.

"While the legal system has exonerated Officer Darren Wilson for his split-second decision on that August afternoon, he very much remains a victim of a politicized agenda that deemed him 'guilty until proven innocent,'" Hosko said, adding that Wilson was "exploited in a cynical effort to turn civilians against cops in fulfillment of an anti-law enforcement agenda."

"The long-term effects of the politicization of this case are chilling. Statements by people in power, people the citizens should trust and respect, have only served to divide," Hosko continued. (Read more)

- Lord God, we thank You that it is in You that we live, and move, and have our being, and that we are the head and not the tail. We take the authority of the Sword of the Spirit and Your shed blood and we cut down, obliterate and destroy every evil word that is being spoken over the Ferguson ordeal by any governing official. We ask You to forgive them, for we cannot do so; but at the Cross this was accomplished. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayer, amen and amen.

- "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." (I John 4:4)

4. 10 Key Facts Ferguson Grand Jury Discovered - CNSNews.com

Last night, a grand jury in Ferguson, Missouri decided not to indict officer Darren Wilson in the shooting death of Michael Brown. St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch also simultaneously released all evidence presented to the grand jury. Here are the most important takeaways from the documents. (Read more here)

- Again, Lord God, we thank You that the light of TRUTH is now shining in the darkness of LIES and DECEIT. We ask that these facts be trumpeted across the nation, so that all American citizens will be able to judge this situation correctly, rather than from the basis of inflamed emotions. Thank You, Lord, in Jesus' name, amen and amen.

5. 'We Will Not Engage': Michele Bachmann Reveals GOP Plans to Ignore Executive Amnesty - Breitbart

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn) revealed on Saturday that Republican leadership, led by Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-Oh), has no intention of resisting President Obama's executive amnesty that he ordered on Thursday.

Breitbart News Executive Chairman Steven K. Bannon asked the congresswoman, who was a guest on Breitbart News Saturday Sirius XM Patriot channel 125, "Has there been any firm commitment from the leadership of the Republican party saying that this amnesty is not going to happen?" Bachmann replied with a question, "Do you want the truth? Okay, I'll tell all of Breitbart listeners what happened this week. I was floored!"

In the weekly meeting called "Republican Conference" in the House of Representatives, "we all knew that the big issue for the week was going to be the president announcing his amnesty," she explained. Bachmann recounted that all of the leadership went to the microphone, including John Boehner.

"They acted as though the amnesty issue wasn't even an issue. They said that the President is going to do what he's going to do, and we are not going to get down in the mud with him. We are not going to engage, and what we are going to do is to talk about our positive solutions on jobs, the economy, education, and manufacturing," Bachmann said. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, it seems that we as a nation continue to be betrayed by those we have elected to Congressional office to support us. Help us, Father! Confront these people in the night with what they are doing and hold them accountable to what they took an oath to support. We ask this in Jesus' Name, Amen and Amen.

- "Do not forsake me, O Lord; O my God, be not far from me! Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation!" (Psalm 38:21-22)

6. A Statement by Rep. Forbes on Immigration - (Office of Rep. J. Randy Forbes)

Friend -

I'm sure by now you have heard the Administration's justification for executive action on immigration: that Presidents Bush, Reagan, and "every president in the last 70 years" have acted unilaterally to address the immigration system.

We could spend our time pointing out key differences between past presidents' actions on immigration, and the current Administration's sweeping executive order, which will impact roughly 5 million people who are illegally in this country.

But instead, I would like to focus on a different reason this is not justification for unconstitutional action. And that is because this is not about politics. It's not about one person. It's not about one party. If a Republican president issued the same executive order, it would be just as wrong. This is about principles. Our nation was founded on the fundamental premise that the law is the ultimate authority - not the preferences of elected officials, the will of an elite minority, or the whims of an executive. This respect for the rule of law is what has defined our country since the day the words, "We the People. " were scrawled in ink on parchment, and the Constitution of the United States of America was birthed as the Supreme Law of the Land and a testament to freedom, justice, and equality under the law.

Our heritage is a nation of immigrants. But let us not forget our heritage is also a nation founded upon the integrity of the rule of law. The Constitution doesn't play favorites, and it has no respect for partisan politics. The law is the law. It must be respected.

Yours in service,

Randy

P.S. - As a senior member of the House Judiciary Committee, I am working with Chairman Goodlatte and the other Committee Members to use every tool at the Committee's disposal to fight against this executive overreach.

- Lord God, we thank You that there are still members of Congress who see the writing on the wall that is in front of this president, and who will refuse to comply with his system of lawlessness. We ask You to bless each member who governs in righteousness, and protect each one, their families, and their staffs, under Your shed Blood. We ask this in Jesus' Name, amen and amen.

- "The wicked flee when no one is pursuing, But the righteous are bold as a lion." (Proverbs 28:1)

7. Three Steps to Resolve Immigration Issue - Canada Free Press

The solution to the immigration problem is simple, but the leftists have the Republican Party in such a political monkey-style crap throwing contest that the reality of the simplicity of the issue evades them. The steps are easy:

1. Enforce existing immigration laws on the books.
2. Secure the border.
3. Quit giving illegal aliens free stuff.
The liberal left will start screaming about the children, both coming to America, and the ones brought here outside their own choice. Yeah, yeah. When I broke my wrist, I didn't ask the doctor to tend to the scrapes on my knuckles, first. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, we lift up praise for the directness of this suggestion. It says to enforce the laws that we already have and be consistent in doing it. Father, we ask that You confront our congressional members and remind them that laws currently exist in this nation to enforce immigration. Then we ask that You guide them to enforce those laws. Yes, we will allow immigrants but have them abide by all the regulations and rules that others had to follow to become citizens of this nation. We ask this In the Name of Jesus, Amen and Amen.

- "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man." (Psalm 118:8)

8. Kenya bus attack: Al-Shabab 'wants religious war - BBC

The slaughter of 28 people on a bus in Kenya is a bid to start a religious war, a senior adviser to President Uhuru Kenyatta has told the BBC. Abdikadir Mohammed called on Kenyans of "all faiths and creeds" to stand together against the "heinous crimes". At dawn on Saturday, al-Shabab gunmen attacked the bus in northern Kenya, shooting dead non-Muslim passengers. The Somalia-based Islamist group has carried out numerous attacks across Kenya since 2011. Gunmen separated out non-Muslims by asking passengers to read from the Koran, officials and witnesses said. Those who failed were then shot in the head. (Read More)

- Heavenly Father, we ask for Your mercy and comfort for the families involved in this ruthless slaughter of non Islamic believers. Attacks of this kind are increasing rapidly across the globe and we bring these actions to Your throne for mercy and protection of potential future victims and their families. We pray this in the Name of Jesus and under His Shed Blood, Amen and Amen.

- "The violence of the wicked will destroy them, because they refuse to do justice." (Proverbs 21:7)

9. Benghazi consulate attack: Report clears US response - BBC

A US investigation has found no wrongdoing by the Obama administration in responding to the deadly 2012 attack on the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya. The inquiry by the Republican-run House Intelligence Committee also said there was no intelligence failure and no delay in sending a CIA rescue team. The Obama administration had been accused of mishandling its response. (Read more)

- Heavenly Father, this report appears to contradict all previous reports of what occurred at Benghazi where Ambassador Stevens and others died in a horrible manner. Father, if this is not the truth, would You alone cause the truth to be brought forth and Your justice to arise. We ask this in Jesus' Name and under His Shed Blood, Amen Amen.

- "The wicked shall be a ransom for the righteous, and the unfaithful for the upright." (Proverbs 21:18)

2. Despite 'incitement,' Washington sees Abbas as bulwark -Times of Israel

The Mahmoud Abbas whom Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has accused of incitement has said the Jewish state practices genocide and called the temporary closure of the Temple Mount after a terrorist attack a "declaration of war." Yet virtually no one in Washington wants Abbas to do anything but what he's done for nine years: be president of the Palestinian Authority.

For that matter, neither does Netanyahu. (Read more)

3. Merkel against unilaterally recognizing Palestine as a state - Jerusalem Post

BERLIN - Chancellor Angela Merkel on Friday rejected the idea of Germany recognising Palestine as a state unilaterally, saying the Palestinians and Israel could solve their long-running conflict only through negotiations.

"Therefore from our point of view, an unilateral recognition of the Palestinian state would not move us forward on the way to a two-state solution," the conservative chancellor said. (Read more)

4. Exclusive: Cornered but unbound by nuclear pact, Israel reconsiders military action against Iran - Jerusalem Post

Historic negotiations with Iran will reach an inflection point on Monday, as world powers seek to clinch a comprehensive deal that will, to their satisfaction, end concerns over the nature of its vast, decade-old nuclear program.

But reflecting on the deal under discussion with The Jerusalem Post on the eve of the deadline, Israel has issued a stark, public warning to its allies with a clear argument: Current proposals guarantee the perpetuation of a crisis, backing Israel into a corner from which military force against Iran provides the only logical exit. 5. Gaza threatens to halt Israeli fruit imports - ynet news

Gaza's Hamas-run agriculture ministry threatened on Monday to stop importing Israeli fruit to the Palestinian territory in response to what it said was vegetable exports being blocked. The warning came months after a 50-day bloody conflict between Israel and militants in the Gaza Strip, leaving the enclave in humanitarian and economic crisis.

"If Israel doesn't reverse its decision to halt the export of Palestinian agricultural produce. . . we will ban the entry of fruit" from Israel, a ministry statement said. (Read more)

6. Elkin: We Weren't Elected to Promote Livni's Agenda - Israel National News

MK Ze'ev Elkin (Likud), one of the authors of the controversial Jewish State Law, said on Monday that the Likud is not interested in elections at the present time, but also made clear that his party was not elected in order to carry out the agenda of Justice Minister Tzipi Livni.

"You cannot run a country the way things have been handled so far. Tzipi Livni with six seats thinks she can run the country," Elkin told Arutz Sheva, though he ruled out that Livni would quit coalition despite her threats, saying that he is "hearing concerned voices from Yesh Atid and Hatnua. They do not want an election. It is not the Likud that is concerned over elections." (Read more)

Gary Bauer: Ferguson

Ferguson

As you know, St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch announced last night that the grand jury investigating the shooting death of Michael Brown found no cause to indict Ferguson Police Officer Darren Wilson on any of five possible charges. We can say with certainty that there are people of all races who agree and disagree with this decision.

We can also say with certainty that the individuals who engaged in anarchy last night are not in either camp. I watched the news reports for hours last night and want to share the following observations:

Last night's rioting was not a spontaneous event. Leftist extremists, mostly from Chicago, have poured into Ferguson and surrounding communities since the summer. Some in the crowds were wearing Guy Fawkes masks -- a symbol of the radical left. Fawkes, a British revolutionary from the early 17th century, is not exactly representative of today's black community.

Some of the radicals in Ferguson are professional agitators who have been instrumental in previous left-wing riots. There is zero violence associated with the Tea Party movement. Yet it is routinely castigated by the media, while these violent left-wing groups get a pass. They should be investigated and shut down.

- The people looting liquor stores and running out with bottles were not crying over the grand jury's decision. There was no outrage on their faces. They were celebrating.

The arsonists who torched minority-owned businesses were not making a statement about police brutality or any other legitimate cause.

- Dozens of buildings were burned. Police cars were set on fire. The police chief said he counted 150 shots fired. When fire crews attempted to put out fires, they were attacked and had to retreat.

Many commentators have suggested that the nighttime announcement was terrible timing. Local officials say they wanted to ensure that kids and commuters were off the streets.

But why on earth did Governor Jay Nixon declare a state of emergency and mobilize the National Guard a week ago and then wait until 1:00 a.m. to deploy them? Why were Ferguson's citizens and stores unprotected?

- Eric Holder deployed 100 FBI agents to Ferguson last week. What were they doing?

- As I watched the handcuffed police last night, it was clear they were under orders to do virtually nothing. Then the thought occurred to me: I've seen this before. . . this is how the left fights wars.

Now it has imposed the same politically correct tactics on the men and women standing on the thin blue line. All that was accomplished was the destruction of jobs and businesses, many of which were held by blacks. (Gary Bauer)

Obama's Remarks

Obama's Remarks

Not long after the violence erupted, President Obama addressed the nation. Two things struck me about his remarks. In the past, he was quick to take sides -- blasting the Cambridge cops and claiming Trayvon Martin as a son. Last night he was more even-handed.

Yet the juxtaposition of the president on a split screen pleading for calm as vehicles burned was astonishing. Not long ago, many on the left and in the black community saw Obama as a savior. Last night, he seemed to be an afterthought.

In all honesty, Obama lost me in the first 60 seconds when he said, "We are a nation of laws." This administration has violated the rule of law from the moment it assumed office. Just last week he rewrote our immigration laws, exercising powers he repeatedly claimed not to have.

Kudos To the Grand Jury

Kudos To the Grand Jury

Prosecuting Attorney Robert McCulloch went on at length last night to explain the process and the evidence involved in reaching yesterday's decision. He also released that evidence to the public.

McCulloch pointed out that in contrast to physical evidence eyewitnesses are often unreliable. He noted that many of the so-called "eyewitnesses" we heard giving media interviews in fact were not eyewitnesses at all. When the physical evidence contradicted their statements, they recanted and said they were only repeating what people had told them.

For example, initial media reports suggested that the young man was shot repeatedly in the back. The autopsy revealed that was not true. Some said Brown was killed as he was surrendering, shot with his hands up. Once again, the physical evidence contradicted that meme.

Yet when Obama cited Ferguson at the U.N. several weeks ago to create some kind of moral equivalence between the U.S. and the rest of the world, he was relying on bad evidence. When Eric Holder sympathized with the radicals, saying, "I am the attorney general of the United States. But I am also a black man," he was relying on bad evidence.

This is a reminder that everyone in a position of authority (from the county prosecutor to the president) should assume a demeanor of responsibility, support the rule of law, and avoid speculation -- especially when dealing with sensitive issues like race.

Finally, keep this in mind: It has often been said that a decent prosecutor could indict a ham sandwich. The point being that a grand jury proceeding is heavily biased toward the prosecution. Compared to a conviction by a trial jury, an indictment requires a lower threshold of evidence and it needs only nine votes, as opposed to a unanimous vote.

Kudos to the members of the Ferguson grand jury. From a certain perspective, the decision they reached was the most difficult.

Virtually all elite opinion demanded that Officer Wilson be charged. The jurors were given five charges to consider. They could have easily chosen one and passed the buck to a trial jury. In this age of computer hacking and ID theft, they have every reason to be worried that their names may become public and their lives threatened.

Instead, they refused to appease the mob and they upheld the rule of law. (Gary Bauer)
