1. There WAS a second gunman, say Tunisian security services - as police hunt two suspected accomplices in beach massacre - Daily Mail UK

A second gunman from the massacre may be on the run, it emerged last night.

Police and eyewitnesses are increasingly convinced that Seifeddine Rezgui had an armed accomplice during Friday's rampage.

Last night a Tunisian security source said: 'I can't say too much but I can say there were two terrorists. There were two gunmen.'

Police issued an alert for two suspected accomplices last night, Mohamed Bin Adbdallah and Rafikhe Taiari. (Read more)

3. Putin Proposes New Coalition to Fight Islamic State - Russia Insider

President Vladimir Putin has reaffirmed Russia's support of the Syrian government following a meeting with its Foreign Minister Walid Muallem yesterday, TASS reported.

Speaking to journalists after the talks, Putin acknowledged the Islamic State terrorist group remains the biggest threat in the region, and said Syria must unite with neighboring countries in order to combat it. He added that Russia was ready to facilitate dialogue between countries in the region. (Read more)

4. 950 Hezbollah operatives, 300 Hamas members in Germany - Jerusalem Post

The number of Islamists in Germany increased to 43,890 in 2014 from 43,190 in 2013, according to a report released on Tuesday by the country's domestic intelligence agency.

Radical Islamists are "the greatest danger to Germany," said Hans-Georg Maassen, the president of the agency, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV). "Germany is on the spectrum of goals for Islamic terrorists," he added.

Hezbollah has 950 active operatives in the Federal Republic, and Hamas has 300. Germany has designated Hamas as a terrorist organization. The Merkel administration along with the EU banned Hezbollah's military wing in 2013, but allows its political wing to operate. (Read more)

5. U.S. Power Grid Being Hit With 'Increasing' Hacking Attacks, Government Warns - Free Beacon

Major attacks on the U.S. power grid system are "increasing," with hackers stepping up efforts to penetrate critical systems and to implant malicious software that could compromise the power grid and result in a nationwide crisis, according to a government report. (Read more)

6. CAIR Puts 2016 Presidential Hopefuls Under Its 'Islamophobia' Microscope - CNSNews.com

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) has launched a website tracking the 2016 presidential candidates' positions on Islam, and so far it seems to have the fewest problems with Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican hopefuls New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.)

But for many of the other GOP candidates, CAIR highlights associations with individuals who, in its opinion, are "Islamophobes."

For instance, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, former Sen. Rick Santorum (R-Penn.), and pediatric neurosurgeon Ben Carson are all implicitly criticized for speaking at events hosted by David Horowitz Freedom Center between 2007 and 2014. (Read more)

1. Israel says Syria's Assad may be left with rump state -YNET News

A senior Israeli defense official said President Bashar Assad controlled just a fifth of Syria and may end up in charge of a rump state dominated by his minority Alawite sect.

Israel and its neighbor Syria are long-term enemies, but the remarks by Amos Gilad, strategic advisor to Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon, reflect concerns by states across the region that Syria is undergoing a de facto partition after four years of civil war. (Read More)

2. Egypt's Top Prosecutor Assassinated - Wall Street Journal

CAIRO-Egypt's top prosecutor was assassinated by a bomb that exploded near his motorcade on Monday, a day after an Islamic State affiliate threatened the country's judiciary.

Hisham Barakat was killed just days after three separate terror attacks on Friday in France, Tunisia and Kuwait.

There was no clear claim of responsibility for the attack in an upscale Cairo neighborhood. But the government blamed the Muslim Brotherhood, an outlawed Islamic fundamentalist group.(Read More)

4. Expert: Hamas, Not Israel, Caused Civilian Deaths in Gaza - Israel National News

During last year's Gaza war, Hamas did more to inflict death, suffering and destruction on its own civilian population than any other terrorist group in history, Colonel (ret.) Richard Kemp said on Monday.

Kemp was speaking at an alternative event in Geneva to reveal the failings of the UN report accusing Israel of "war crimes" in Gaza last summer. He was among a group of military, legal and Middle East experts who took part in the event, which was hosted by the Amuta for NGO Responsibility, the UN ECOSOC-accredited parent organization of NGO Monitor, together with UN Watch. 5. 'Americans never presented Israel with full security plan for West Bank withdrawal' - Jerusalem Post

Israel's security needs in the eventuality of an Israeli withdrawal from the West Bank, Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon said on Monday.

US President Barack Obama, in an interview earlier this month on Channel 2, said that he sent some of his top military advisers to Israel during the negotiations led by Secretary of State John Kerry in 2013-2014, to hear Israel describe "the worst case scenario" of what it needed to protect itself after a withdrawal and the establishment of a Palestinian state. He was referring to a US team led by Gen. John Allen.

"And the truth is that we have ways in which we could deal with issues like the Jordan Valley," he said. (Read More)

6. Islamic State threatens to topple Hamas in Gaza, 'uproot the Jewish state' - Jerusalem Post

In a new video uploaded to Youtube on June 30, The Islamic State group announced that it has set its sites on Hamas, warning that it will topple the group in Gaza and install its own rule over the coastal Palestinian enclave.

Appearing to be filmed in Syria, the armed fighters featured in the video accuse Hamas of "not being serious in all things related to the implementation of Islamic law" and promised that "what is today occurring in Syria and in the [Palestinian] Yarmuk refugee camp, will happen in Gaza."

Hamas has recently been challenged by dissenting terror cells in Gaza, a number of whom have pledged allegiance to the Islamic State.(Read More)

1. BREAKING: The Supreme Court Just Made A HUGE Move That Threatens Dem Campaign Cash - Western Journalism

In a surprise move that could pose a major threat to organized labor - a key Democrat constituency that supports liberal candidates with vast amounts of campaign cash - the U.S. Supreme Court has just said it will hear a controversial case out of California. USA Today reports that the justices have agreed to consider the case of Friedrichs v. California Teachers Association, "challenging the requirement that teachers contribute to unions, even if they don't join them or agree with their positions on issues."

The USA Today article points out that, in the most recent case to come before the court in which the forced union dues have been challenged by people who don't support what those dues have paid for politically, a sharply divided court ruled against the union policy. (Read more)

- Lord God Almighty in heaven, we thank You that You are the sovereign over the nations, and that You have a plan and a destiny for our nation that has yet to be fulfilled. We ask that all the fruit You desire to reap as a result of this Court ruling would come forth in full measure, and we give You all the praise and all the Glory. In the name of Jesus Christ we Pray, amen and amen.

- "Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom." (Psalm 45:6)

2. Feds shut down background check database over flaw - Fox News

The federal personnel agency whose records were plundered by hackers linked to China announced on Monday the temporary shutdown of a massive database used to update and store background investigation records after newly discovering a flaw that left the system vulnerable to additional breaches.

There is no evidence the vulnerability has been exploited by hackers, agency spokesman Samuel Schumach said in a statement, adding that the Office of Personnel Management took the step protectively. He said the system could be shut down for four to six weeks.

The shutdown announced Monday is expected to hamper agencies' ability to initiate investigations for new employees and contractors, as well as renewal investigations for security clearances, Schumach said. But, he added, the federal government will still be able to hire, and in some cases grant clearances on an interim basis. (Read more)

- Abba Father, thank You that the Office of Personnel Management discovered a flaw that left the system vulnerable to additional breaches and has responded. Abba give wisdom to the Office of Personnel Management that they will be able to do business in spite of this shutdown! In His Name we pray, Amen.

-You have made the land quake, You have split it open; Heal its breaches, for it totters. Psalm 60:2

3. Obama to propose expanding overtime for millions - USA Today

President Obama detailed a proposed plan on Monday that would widen the circle of salaried employees able to receive overtime benefits in an opinion piece published in The Huffington Post. In the piece, Obama asserts that an exemption that was intended for highly paid white collar employees affects workers making as little as $23,660. Under the president's plan, overtime protections would go to salaried employees who make up to $50,400 per year. "We've got to keep making sure hard work is rewarded," the president writes. "Right now, too many Americans are working long days for less pay than they deserve."

Retailers and manufacturers blasted President Barack Obama's plan to make more Americans eligible for overtime pay, saying the move would stunt workers' careers and cost companies billions. (Read more)

- Abba, You are a just God and Your word says that the worker should receive payment for his work. Thank You for taking care of the workers in this nation who work overtime hours and are not compensated. In His Name we pray, Amen.

- Who at any time serves as a soldier at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard and does not eat the fruit of it? Or who tends a flock and does not[a]use the milk of the flock?

4. Obama signs anti-BDS bill into law - Times of Israel

President approves provisions making rejection of Israel boycott a key objective in trade talks with EU After a grueling legislative battle, US President Barack Obama signed into law a controversial trade measure that also contains landmark legislation combating the boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) movement in Europe.

. . . on Monday, Obama signed into law the so-called "fast track" authorization that will allow US trade negotiators to work out a long-awaited deal with Asian states known as the Trans-Pacific Partnership. The Trade Promotion Authority legislation also contained the anti-BDS provisions, which make rejection of the phenomenon a top priority for US negotiators as they work on a more distant free trade agreement with the European Union.

These guidelines, sponsors hope, will discourage European governments from participating in BDS activities by leveraging the incentive of free trade with the US.(Read more)

-Abba Father, we thank You for this wonderful news! Finally, it looks like the 'war' with Israel is over, and our countries have 'kissed and made up'. This is a wonderful precedent that has been established. Now companies throughout the United States and Europe will not be able to boycott Israeli products. In His Name we pray, Amen

-Behold, how good and how pleasant it is For brothers to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, Coming down upon the beard, Even Aaron's beard, Coming down upon the edge of his robes. It is like the dew of Hermon Coming down upon the mountains of Zion; For there the Lord commanded the blessing-life forever. (Psalm 133)

5. Report: Accelerate AIDS Fight - VOA

A new report warned if treatment and prevention methods for HIV/AIDS are not expanded now, the epidemic could rebound within five years. UNAIDS and the Lancet Commission said while unprecedented progress has been made against the disease, the rate of new infections still is not falling fast enough.

UNAIDS Executive Director Michel Sidibé described the next five years as a "fragile window of opportunity to fast-track the response and end the AIDS epidemic by 2030." He warned if no action is taken, the "human and financial consequences will be catastrophic."

Tim Martineau, UNAIDS Chief of Staff, said, "It's a very serious message. We actually think it's quite a positive message. We think that there has been enormous progress in the AIDS response. What we're saying is that this next five year window is incredibly important if we want to see the end of AIDS by 2030 as a public health problem." (Read more)

- Abba, we share the concern of the Lancet Commission of UNAIDS about the rapid spread of AIDS, and the failure of rate of infections falling rapidly enough to eradicate this disease. Father, now that the Supreme Court has decreed homosexual marriages to be "legal," many of our young people will jump to the conclusion that this is a viable, acceptable lifestyle. It seems, if anything, this will cause the disease to spread more rapidly than before. We do ask for a cure, Lord. Give wisdom to those who are involved with trying to stem the tide of this evil, we pray. In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

- "Because people did those things, God left them and let them do the shameful things they wanted to do. Women stopped having natural sex and started having sex with other women. In the same way, men stopped having natural sex and began wanting each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and in their bodies they received the punishment for those wrongs. People did not think it was important to have a true knowledge of God. So God left them and allowed them to have their own worthless thinking and to do things they should not do." (Romans 1:26-28)

6. France preparing to resume business with Iran - Times of Israel

Foreign minister will reportedly travel to Tehran quickly if accord signed; 100 companies plan September delegation

France is gearing up for the resumption of its substantial economic dealings with Iran, under the assumption that a nuclear agreement with Tehran is likely in the near future, Reuters reported Monday night.

100 French companies are reportedly planning to participate in a delegation to Tehran in September to review business opportunities in the Islamic republic. And a French diplomat told Reuters that Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius planned to visit the Iranian capital soon after an agreement is signed in a bid to normalize relations. (Read more)

-Abba, the greedy world powers will be disappointed because we believe that You hear our prayers and will derogate this bad deal. We trust in You to stop this sham of a nuclear power agreement. In His Name, we pray. Amen.

-"Everyone will be ashamed because of a people who cannot profit them, Who are not for help or profit, but for shame and also for reproach." (Isaiah 30:5)

7. Turkey 'planning to invade Syria' - Telegraph UK

Turkey has sent shock waves through the Middle East by preparing plans to send troops into Syria for the first time, turning the civil war into an international conflict on Europe's borders.

President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has authorised a change in the rules of engagement agreed by the Turkish parliament to allow the army to strike at Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil), as well as the Assad regime, according to local newspapers.

The aim is to establish a buffer zone for refugees and against Isil, but Mr Erdogan has also suggested that the main target of the intervention, if it goes ahead, will be to prevent the emergence of a Kurdish state on Turkey's doorstep. (Read more)

- Father God, we ask that You be in the midst of this complicated situation, and if it be Your will, that war would not break out in this region . . . except against ISIS/ISIL. We ask that Your hand would rest upon this region, as a restraining force from evil. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen and amen.

- "Gird Your sword upon Your thigh, O Mighty One, With Your glory and Your majesty. And in Your majesty ride prosperously because of truth, humility, and righteousness." (Psalm 45:3,4)

8. Kurdish forces drive Isil fighters out of Syrian border town - Telegraph UK

Kurdish forces have taken full control of Kobane, three days after Islamic State (Isil) militants launched one of their deadliest massacres of the Syrian civil war. At least 200 civilians were killed in the attack, which also resulted in the deaths of 16 Kurdish fighters and 54 jihadists.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a monitoring group, confirmed that YGP units had captured positions held by Isil since Thursday's bloody assault on the city. Rami Abdel Rahman, director of the Observatory, said the death toll was still mounting as Kurdish forces discovered more bodies. His group described Thursday's attack as Isil's second largest massacre of Syria's four year-long war.(Read more)

- Lord, we praise You for this good news, and we ask that You would continue to strengthen these fearless Kurdish soldiers as they wage hand-to-hand combat. We note in this article, Lord, that the citizens of Hassakah are now in danger, and we ask for divine protection for them, too. We ask this prayer in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

- "There is . . . a time for war . . ." (Ecclesiastes 3:1,8)

9. NATO Refocusing Mission Upon Russia -(Jim Bakker)

NATO is refocusing their efforts toward Russia in light of Vladimir Putin's invasion and takeover of Crimea last year. NATO wants to prevent Russia from doing the same thing to other former Soviet Republics.

U.S. Defense Secretary Ashton Carter has been traveling to the capitals of NATO member nations to talk about the refocus on Russia. He has pledged the U.S. to give weapons and loan commandos to a new NATO rapid reaction force.The U.S. will also place heavy weapons and tanks in the Baltics and Eastern Europe for the first time.

NATO is facing issues with member nations such as Germany, Italy and France not being in favor of going to war with Russia should an invasion of Estonia or other former Soviet republics take place. (Read more)

- Lord, God of the Nations, we come to You on behalf of all the nations in regard to the aggressiveness of Russia to reacquire them against their will. Surely this affects all of the nations on this planet. There is so much tension and dissension among the nations in Europe, the Baltics, the Middle East, and the Western nations. No one trusts anyone. May this world come to realize that only in our Creator is Stability, and Sustainability!

You are a good God, not out to destroy the world, but to save it! May we find our Security in You. We ask for wisdom for those representatives of the nations, that they may come into agreement to submit to You and to care for each other in a positive way, not to destroy or to dominate. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

- "Why are the nations so angry? Why are the people making useless plans? The kings of the earth prepare to fight, and their leaders make plans together against the Lord and His Appointed One. They say, 'Let's break the chains that hold us back and throw off the ropes that tie us down.'" (Psalm 2:1-3)

10. Rivlin: Ramadan has become month of worldwide terror - Jerusalem Post

President Reuven Rivlin together with Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni on Tuesday condemned the spate of terror attacks against Israelis during the month of Ramadan. At the start of their meeting at the President's Residence, Rivlin said that Ramadan (which began on the evening of June 17) has been a month of terrorism throughout Judea and Samaria, the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem and the whole world. "Terror is terror is terror," he said, and pledged that Israel will continue to fight terrorism with all its might. Rivlin was angry that the Palestinian leadership has caved in to Hamas instead of condemning each act of terrorism and acting against it. "The silence is louder than ever," he declared. Still, Rivlin told his guest: "We have no war with Islam, and Islam should have no war with us." The terrorism must be stopped, he said. (Read more)

- Abba Father, we join President Reuven Rivlin and Foreign Minister Poalo Gentiloni in condemning the terrorist acts committed during Ramadan by ISIS. Abba, we pray that the eyes of the world would be opened, and that they would see the evil of ISIS and this demonic religion. Abba, we ask for Your protection during the 4th of July celebrations in this country, and that ISIS would not be able to carry out one terrorist act. In His Name we pray, Amen.

- "Blessed be the LORD, Who has not given us to be torn by their teeth. Our soul has escaped as a bird out of the snare of the trapper; The snare is broken and we have escaped." (Psalm 124:6,7)

Prophetic warnings in dark times

1 Peter 5:14-17 says, "If you be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are you; for the spirit of glory and of God rests upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified. But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.Yet if any man suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begins with us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?" As the culture war in America rages, recent events should serve as a prophetic warning to the "house of God" and the need for strategic change.

Could it be that the legalization of abortion in 1973 was a prophetic warning that the "house of God" needed to get right with the Lord and do his will? Was the redefinition of the most basic institution of society yet another dire prophetic message to the "house of God"? There are consequences to Pastors being concerned about money with their 501C3s; extra-biblical, emotional and self-indulgent teachings; giving over the pulpit to those not believing that the Bible is the inerrant and infallible word of God; the winking at sin; the lack of accountability; religious pride; and the list goes on. We cannot expect society to change if we, ourselves, are amiss. Is it no wonder that judgment begins in the "house of God"?

Judges 21:25 says, "In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes." The word of God is often watered down or shelved completely for other types of teaching. Jesus, in many places, is not even King in his own house. Romans 10:14 says, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." It goes on to ask how shall they call on him if they haven't believed, how can they believe if they haven't heard, how shall they hear without a preacher? If the word is not being preached in truth and spirit (which is also accountability), should we be surprised that God becomes evil spoken of? Should we be surprised that our society is in such fallen condition?

I have observed Christian reactions to the Supreme Court marriage decision. Often, we have behaved no differently than the world with shrill anger, judgmental proclamations, or in some cases, a blasphemed embracing of the sin with the sinner. We seem to be fighting the culture war on the terms of the evildoer. We are getting wrapped around the world's way. What did Jesus tell us to do? Spread the good news, the gospel, to the world and make disciples. If disciples are made, the light of God shines and the condition of the nation, the world, improves. We need to repent.

We need to study the gospels and see how Jesus handled fallen culture. We need to engage with love in Spirit and Truth. We need to hold one another accountable. Jesus had little patience with the Pharisees. If pastors are not aligned with the Word, end your association. Fight the good fight politically by standing firm, but let us not do it in a way that represents Christ wrongly. This is a time where we need to show Christ to the world through the way we live and how we treat others, wise as serpents and gentle as doves. We need to change our strategy by getting back to how Christ changed the world. He is our example. He is the way, the truth and the life. He established the standard. We should follow God not man.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

ISIS: Terror Attack in Sinai

ISIS Unleashes Deadly Wave of Terror in Sinai

JERUSALEM, Israel -- Following massive terror attacks in the northern Sinai Peninsula Tuesday, including a suicide car bombing, the IDF closed the Kerem Shalom crossing with the Gaza Strip.

According to media reports, at least 30 security forces were killed in the attacks and 40 wounded by ISIS-affiliated jihadists.

Egyptian military spokesman Brig.-Gen. Mohammed Samir said 70 terrorists carried out a multi-pronged attack on five Egyptian army checkpoints. Samir said Egyptian forces killed 22 terrorists and destroyed three all-terrain vehicles fitted with anti-aircraft guns.

The attacks came two days after Hisham Barakat, the nation's top prosecutor, was killed by a car bomb in Cairo.

Speaking at Barakat's funeral, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi vowed to step up the two-year crackdown on Islamic terror cells in the Sinai.

Since his election in May 2014, following the ouster of Islamist President Mohammed Morsi, el-Sisi has worked to eradicate terror cells embedded in the Sinai, boost Egypt's economy, and speak out against Islamic extremism.

El-Sisi has also championed the crackdown on Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood, which was outlawed as a terror group. Many of its members, including Morsi, were tried, convicted, and sentenced to long prison terms or execution.

In his remarks to the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, in January, el-Sisi said Muslims need to remove those things that lead to violence and extremism.

"We need to revolutionize our religion," he said. (CBN) Read more

- Lord God, we pray for supernatural safety and protection for everyone in this region. - "If it had not been the Lord who was on our side," Let Israel now say- "If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, When men rose up against us, Then they would have swallowed us alive, When their wrath was kindled against us; Then the waters would have overwhelmed us, The stream would have gone over our soul; Then the swollen waters Would have gone over our soul." The Uzbek speakers of Southern Kyrgyzstan

There are approximately 800,000 Uzbek speakers in southern Kyrgyzstan, including Uyghurs and Turks, as well as ethnic Uzbeks. Most of these people live near to the border with Uzbekistan, in the Kyrgyzstan part of the Fergana Valley. This agriculturally rich region is one of the most densely populated areas in Central Asia. Competition for trade, land and water has often been a point of conflict, particularly between different ethnic groups.

Over the last decade, there has been a rise in Kyrgyz nationalism that has made life difficult for the Uzbek-speaking minorities. This pressure has intensified since inter-ethnic rioting in 2010, with discrimination in legal and political spheres and loss of economic opportunities. Nearly all Uzbek speakers identify themselves as Muslims, but recently the influence of Islam has grown, accompanied by an increase in fundamentalism.
Outwardly, more people are finding their identity in Islam, but some are genuinely seeking God. Nadim is an Uzbek speaker who lives in rural Kyrgyzstan with his wife and five children. He had been suffering with recurring nightmares for over 20 years, seeking treatment from many doctors and psychologists. Nadim knew that it would take a miracle for his nightmares to stop, and was considering a trip to Mecca when he met believers who were able to pray with him and his family.
The bad dreams continued on and off but every time someone prayed for him in Jesus' name he had a peaceful night's sleep. He is now free from these nightmares altogether. Since receiving a New Testament, Nadim carries it around in his pocket. Through his eagerness to study scripture, his whole family and their networks also have the opportunity to hear God's Word.
How can we pray?

Pray for seekers like Nadim, that they would encounter Jesus through believers, through signs and wonders, and through God's Word.

Pray that not only individuals, but also families and whole networks would come into the kingdom.

Pray for justice and hope for Uzbek speaking minorities in southern Kyrgyzstan.

A Verse to Decree:

"The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness, a light will shine." (Isaiah 9:2)

Our Grandmothers' Songs

Songs Our Grandmothers Sang:

STAND UP, STAND UP FOR JESUS

"Our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." (Ephesians 6:11-12)

Lyrics:

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, ye soldiers of the cross;
Lift high His royal banner, it must not suffer loss.
From victory unto victory His army shall He lead,
Till every foe is vanquished, and Christ is Lord indeed.

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the solemn watchword hear;
If while ye sleep He suffers, away with shame and fear;
Where'er ye meet with evil, within you or without,
Charge for the God of battles, and put the foe to rout.

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the trumpet call obey;
Forth to the mighty conflict, in this His glorious day.
Ye that are brave now serve Him against unnumbered foes;
Let courage rise with danger, and strength to strength oppose.

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, stand in His strength alone;
The arm of flesh will fail you, ye dare not trust your own.
Put on the Gospel armor, each piece put on with prayer;
Where duty calls or danger, be never wanting there.

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, each soldier to his post,
Close up the broken column, and shout through all the host:
Make good the loss so heavy, in those that still remain,
And prove to all around you that death itself is gain.

Stand up, stand up for Jesus, the strife will not be long;
This day the noise of battle, the next the victor's song.
To those who vanquish evil a crown of life shall be;
They with the King of Glory shall reign eternally.

Tyng to the Young Men's Christian Association . . .The Sabbath before his death he preached in the immense edifice known as Jaynes' Hall, one of the most successful sermons of modern times. Of the five thousand men there assembled, at least one thousand, it was believed were 'the slain of the Lord' . . .The following Wednesday, leaving his study for a moment, he went to the barn floor, where a mule was at work on a horse-power, shelling corn. Patting him on the neck, the sleeve of his silk study gown caught in the cogs of the wheel, and his arm was torn out the roots! His death occurred in a few hours . . .The author of the hymn preached from Eph. 6:14, and the . . . verses were written simply as the concluding exhortation. The superintendent of the Sabbath school had a fly-leaf printed for the children-a stray copy found its way into a Baptist newspaper, from that paper it has gone . . . all over the world.

Scientists propose an enhanced new model of the source of a mysterious barrier to fusion known as the 'density limit'

At issue is a problem known as the "density limit" that keeps donut-shaped fusion facilities called tokamaks from operating at peak efficiency. This limit occurs when the superhot, charged plasma gas that fuels fusion reactions reaches a certain density and spirals apart in a flash of light, shutting down the reaction. Overcoming the limit could facilitate the development of fusion as a safe, clean and abundant source of energy for generating electricity. (Phys.Org) Read more.

Israel is Stepping Up Efforts to Protect its Christian Community

"There's certainly no comparison between the Christian population here and what's happening all through the Middle East and in many places in Africa and China-and certainly even in the United States. I would say that in many regards, we might have more religious freedom here in Israel than folks would back in the United States." -David Pileggi, Christ Church

(Jerusalem, Israel)-[CBN News] Israel prides itself on protecting minorities within the Jewish state.

Still, some Christian sites have been attacked by fringe groups over the past few years, prompting government officials to take new steps to protect Israel's Christian community.

Dr. Moti Zaken, special advisor to Israel's Ministry of Internal Security on Minority Affairs, organized a series of meetings between government ministries and Christian leaders.

"We think it's very important that we will be cooperating to solve problems (and) to improve the relations because we value the Christian groups and their representatives as a very important asset to the Jewish state," Zaken told participants at the fourth meeting in the series.

David Pileggi serves as rector at Christ Church, the oldest Protestant church in the Middle East.

"Our relationship with Israel as the Christian community is good, but it can be better," Pileggi told CBN News. "What we appreciate about this meeting is that we can raise practical concerns and hear reports from different government ministries, the police, the army and find out how they are improving the situation for the Christian minority."

The government also wants to improve services to Christian pilgrims from around the world.

"It is one of the major, I would say, issues for the Ministry of Tourism to get to know how to approach the Christian world, both outside the country of course-abroad, all over the world-and, of course, inside Israel," Ahuva Zaken with the Tourism Ministry told CBN News.

According to the Interior Ministry, that includes visas for Christians. (Read more here)
