1. Illegal Alien Minors Spreading TB, Dengue, Swine Flu - Judicial Watch

The hordes of illegal immigrant minors entering the U.S. are bringing serious diseases-including swine flu, dengue fever, possibly Ebola virus and tuberculosis-that present a danger to the American public as well as the Border Patrol agents forced to care for the kids, according to a U.S. Congressman who is also medical doctor.

This has created a "severe and dangerous" crisis, says the Georgia lawmaker, Phil Gingrey. Most of the Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) are coming from Central America and they're importing infectious diseases considered to be largely eradicated in this country. Additionally, many of the migrants lack basic vaccinations such as those to prevent chicken pox or measles, leaving America's young children and the elderly particularly susceptible, Gingrey reveals. 2. Hundreds Of Thousands Criminal Illegal Aliens At Large In U.S. - Breitbart

Hundreds of thousands of convicted criminal immigrants remain at large in the U.S. and a number have gone on to commit additional crimes.

According to a March 2, 2015 "ICE Weekly Departures and Detention Report" obtained by Center for Immigration Studies expert Jessica Vaughan and shared with Breitbart News, there were 168,680 convicted criminal immigrants who had final orders of removal but who remained at large in the U.S.

3. Senators: Obama Counter-IS Strategy Failing - Washington Free Beacon

President Obama's strategy against the Islamic State terror group came under harsh criticism from senators on Tuesday who said the United States is losing the war by not doing more to attack the group.

Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Sen. John McCain (R., Ariz.) said the president was guilty of "self-delusion" in claiming progress is being made against the ultra-violent al Qaeda offshoot, also known as ISIL or ISIS.

During a committee hearing with Defense Secretary Ash Carter and Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, McCain said 5,000 allied air strikes on IS targets have so far done little to stop IS advances. (Read more)

4. Minnesota: Republican Joins Muslim Congressman to Form Somalia Caucus - MPRNews Two Minnesota members of congress from opposite sides of the aisle have formed the Somalia Caucus at the U.S. Capitol.

Fifth District Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison and Sixth District Republican Rep. Tom Emmer said the caucus will advocate for peace and stability in Somalia, which will include efforts to defeat the terrorist network Al-Shabaab.

Minnesota is home to a large Somali-American community, which is concentrated in the Twin Cities and the metro area.

"Together, we represent some of the largest Somali-American communities in the United States," wrote Ellison and Emmer in a joint statement. "For us and the constituents we represent, Somalia is not a far off foreign policy issue, it's a matter of domestic policy and national security." (Read more)

1. Hamas Displays New Missiles at Gaza Rally - Israel National News

Hamas's so-called "military wing", the Al-Qassam Brigades, on Wednesday held a rally in Gaza marking the one year anniversary of last year's war with Israel.

Several hundred people crowded into a central Gaza City square after the traditional fast-breaking meal during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan for the rally, according to the AFP news agency.

Members of the Al-Qassam Brigades, with their faces covered with black scarves, stood in front of what appeared to be models of two missiles about three to four meters (9 to 13 feet) in length aboard the bed of a military truck. (Read more)

2. Hamas: Terror in Judea-Samaria Will Continue - Israel National News

Hamas has no intentions of slowing down on terrorism, a senior official asserted, despite security crackdowns from both Israel and the Palestinian Authority in the wake of a series of recent attacks in Judea and Samaria.

3. IDF officer: Hamas is deterred and unable to rebuild tunnels - Israel Hayom

Operation Protective Edge in the Gaza Strip last summer has "left Hamas deterred and restrained, and has created potential calm for years to come," a senior IDF Southern Command officer said Tuesday.

According to the officer, Hamas is motivated to restrain the terrorist groups operating in Gaza, but if Israel wants to promote a lull, it has to strive to improve the economic situation in Gaza, while continuing to undermine Hamas' military buildup efforts.

Military sources say Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip, has become increasingly politically isolated in the Arab world, and is making considerable efforts to counter this. (Read more)

7. Boycott Call: Lufthansa Omits Israel from 'Free Baggage' List - Israel National News

For probably the first time since 1933, an organized Jewish boycott of German products has been called. The reason: Lufthansa's admission that Israel is the only country in the Middle East that cannot benefit from the German airline's special baggage allowance policy.

The Zionist Organization of America (ZOA) is now officially urging travelers not to fly Lufthansa because of its discrimination against Israel and against travelers to Israel.

As Lufthansa's website explains, Economy Class travelers are permitted one free bag or suitcase of up to 23 kilograms (50 pounds). However, a special baggage policy exists for those traveling to "the United States, Canada, Mexico and Afghanistan, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, United Arab Emirates and Yemen." 1. Kansas Governor Brownback Issues an Order to Guard Religious Liberty - CBN News

Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback has issued an order aimed at protecting religious groups opposed to gay marriage. Brownback said the "imposition" of gay marriage could lead to "potential infringements" of religious liberties. His order says state agencies can't alter contracts with individuals or religious groups that would change their tax status, deny them licenses or tax breaks based on their refusal to perform same-sex marriages, or provide services for gay wedding. 2. South Carolina House Approves Removal of Confederate Flag - Fox News

The South Carolina House approved taking down the Confederate flag from Capitol grounds early Thursday, a stunning reversal in a state that was the first to leave the Union in 1860 and raised the flag again at its Statehouse more than 50 years ago to protest the civil rights movement.

The move came after more than 13 hours of contentious debate and weeks after the deadly shootings of nine black church members, including a state senator, at a Bible study in Charleston. (Read more)

3. BOOM: Trump Responds to Critics Demanding He Apologize With 7 BRUTAL Words - Conservative Tribune

Trump was on Fox News Channel's "MediaBuzz" when host Howard Kurtz asked Trump if he thought he should apologize. Trump responded by dropping seven simple words that America needs to hear:

"I can't apologize for the truth."

"I don't have to say that. Look, the Mexican border is a sieve," Trump told Kurtz. "People are pouring into our country. We don't know who they are, where they are. They come from all over the world, not just Mexicans. Trump also said his anger wasn't aimed at Mexicans, but at illegal immigration and the pitiful lack of border security. (Read more)

5. Obama administration revives plan once criticized as 'death panels' - LA Times

Six years after end-of-life planning nearly derailed development of the Affordable Care Act amid charges of "death panels," the Obama administration has revived a proposal to reimburse physicians for talking with their Medicare patients about how patients want to be cared for as they near death.

The proposal, contained in a large set of Medicare regulations unveiled Wednesday, comes amid growing public discussion about the need for medical care that better reflects patients' wishes as they get older. (Read more)

House Republicans investigating the 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya on Wednesday released a March subpoena issued to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton, one day after she said in a nationally televised interview that she "never had a subpoena" in the email controversy.

Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., chairman of the Benghazi panel, said he had "no choice" but to make the subpoena public "in order to correct the inaccuracy" of Clinton's claim. (Read more)

7. Pope wraps Ecuador leg of South America trip after calling for new ecological, economic order - Fox News

QUITO, Ecuador - Pope Francis wraps up the first leg of a three-nation South American pilgrimage Wednesday after issuing an impassioned call for a new economic and ecological world order where the goods of the Earth are shared by everyone, not just exploited by the rich.

Taking up the global warming issue in Quito on Tuesday, Francis pressed the arguments made in his headline-grabbing encyclical earlier this month that the planet must not be exploited by the wealthy few for short-term profit at the expense of the poor.

"As stewards of these riches which we have received, we have an obligation toward society as a whole and toward future generations," Francis said. "We cannot bequeath this heritage to them without proper care for the environment, without a sense of gratuitousness born of our contemplation of the created world." (Read more)

- "For we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood we have hidden ourselves . . ." (Isaiah 28:15b)

8. 'Cowards who kill the innocent': Iranian song, video blast US amid nuclear talks - Fox News

A new hit song in Iran probably won't find its way onto John Kerry's iPod.

"Hotel Coburg" and the accompanying video savages President Obama and the U.S., calling Americans "wolves" and warning Iranians to be skeptical of the ongoing talks between Tehran and six world powers over the Islamic Republic's nuclear program.

As Secretary of State, Kerry has represented the U.S. at the talks, which have dragged on since late 2013, blowing past several deadlines as Iran balks at proposed conditions for eliminating economic sanctions against the hardline regime. The song takes its name from the Vienna venue where talks are ongoing. (Read more)

- Lord, the US is playing with fire in this nuclear arms deal with Iran. We have ignored the warnings of Prime Minister Netanyahu, we have ignored the truth of the situation, and we can clearly see that they hate us and will do anything to destroy us. Lord we need You to remove the blinders from our leaders and cause them to see what is really going on.

- " . . . Should you help the wicked and love those who hate the Lord? Therefore the wrath of God is upon you." (2 Chronicles 19:2b)

9. Saudi Arabia Casts Wary Eye on Iran Deal - VOA News

As Iran and world powers move toward a possible nuclear deal, Saudi Arabia faces drastic geopolitical shifts. Analysts say lifting sanctions on Iran could greatly increase competition for oil sales, as well as create other far-reaching consequences for the kingdom.

Saudi Arabia and Iran are not friends. And Saudi Arabia is increasingly nervous about a possible nuclear deal between Iran and world powers, led by long-time Saudi ally, the United States.

Gulf State Analytics co-founder Giorgio Cafiero said if Iran gets its deal, which will curb the Iranian nuclear program in exchange for lifting economic sanctions on Iran, Saudi Arabia has a lot to lose.

"Saudi Arabia views the slowly improving relationship between the U.S. and Iran as a great threat to the kingdom's own interest," he said. (Read more)

- Father God, once again, U.S. policy in the Middle East is disturbing the equilibrium we have long enjoyed with the kings of that part of the world, which was to everyone's benefit. We ask that our administration heed the words of warning from Riyadh, and make adjustments accordingly in all of our dealings with Iran. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen and amen.

- "And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." (Matthew 21:22)

10. U.S. Suggests Open-Ended Iran Talks - Wall Street Journal

International powers negotiating a nuclear deal with Iran failed to meet another deadline, the second missed target in a week, raising the prospect of an open-ended diplomatic process over an issue on which President Barack Obama has staked his foreign-policy record. Senior administration officials in Vienna and Washington said progress was still being made and negotiators "have never been closer" to a comprehensive deal to curb Iran's nuclear program in exchange for lifting international sanctions. Mr. Obama has said talks would end in a deal that reflects a framework reached in April, or with no agreement at all.

But with negotiations making little headway, the White House laid the groundwork for a third outcome: continuing talks while keeping in place a November 2013 interim agreement that provided Iran with limited sanctions relief in exchange for rolling back parts of its nuclear program. Such an outcome would allow Mr. Obama to avoid alternatives to diplomacy to confront Iran's nuclear program, such as military force. It gives the president political cover because the idea has support from some influential Republicans and Israel. (Read more)

- Lord God, once again this administration seems to be playing a game of "kicking the can down the road," by hinting at open-ended talks with Iran. Lord God, in Your Word, You instruct us to set firm boundaries in our lives, and to "stick to it." We repent for this compromising attitude by the Obama administration, and we ask that these talks, in their present form, collapse now, once and for all. In Jesus' name, amen and amen.

- "But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes,' and your 'No,' 'No.' For whatever is more than these is from the evil one." (Matthew 5:37)

The Daily Jot

Thursday, July 9, 2015 The prophetic people's response to a hostile society

(Part 1)

The Supreme Court decision legally redefining marriage has shaken most Americans to the core. Many Christian Americans see the handwriting on the wall that free speech and freedom of religion are next. Already, those who disagree with the decision are being labeled bigots, hate mongers and religious supremacists. The more that Christians are able to be slotted into these categories, the easier it will be for wicked politicians and purveyors of false doctrine to demonize Christians and take away freedom of speech and of religious expression. Act, we must. Stand, we must. But it is in how we respond that will either turn the tide of moral depravity in this nation or accelerate it into deeper darkness.

Many have written asking how to respond. We need to change the dialogue. Instead of being viewed as judgmental on one end of the spectrum or hypocritical by embracing the sin (as several denominations already have done), we must study how Christ handled fallen culture and emulate him--Beginning with the pulpit. Jesus had little patience with false teachers and often warned of them. He called them hypocrites in Mark 7:6-7, "This people honor me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men." In Matthew 23, Jesus called them fools, blind, whitewashed sepulchres. Those pastors, reverends, priests, who are teaching false, extra-biblical and self-indulgent doctrine need to be removed or you need to sit under a true Bible teaching pastor.

But to know good doctrine, you must study the word of God, especially how Jesus handled sinners. No pastor is going to stand in your place on judgment day. It will be you who will account for your life. So know your Word. Make it a point to do so. It is life or death to so many. Understand that Jesus stood the ground against sin through truth and love. He didn't judge or condemn sinners, but met them where they were and allowed them to be convicted by their own conscience. The woman at the well in John 4, the adulteress in John 8 are examples. But we must remember in John 3:17 Jesus said, "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."

It is not for us to judge or condemn. John 8:9 says, "And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience..." Stand on the truth of the Word, make it known that you have a Biblical worldview, and be wise and gentle. In summary, we need to change the conversation. Get away from or remove those pastors that are not aligned with the word of God. Know the word of God yourself, not based on some study by someone else, but on your study. The Holy Spirit will guide you if you seek the truth. Engage people through your words and actions, but allow them the freedom to be convicted by their own conscience. Understand you are a lamb among wolves and be protected and led by the Good Shepherd.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Kudos To Gov. Fallin

Kudos To Gov. Fallin

Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallin, like most Americans, was outraged by the state supreme court's decision last week declaring a monument to the Ten Commandments to be unconstitutional. To her credit, she is refusing to blindly obey the court's absurd dictate.

Fallin said yesterday, "Oklahoma is a state where we respect the rule of law. . . However, we are also a state with three co-equal branches of government." And those branches of government are fighting back.

Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt is seeking a rehearing of the Ten Commandments case, and state legislators are considering amendments to the Oklahoma Constitution.

Governor Fallin added that "If legislative efforts are successful, the people of Oklahoma will get to vote on the issue." I have no doubt about the outcome of that vote. In the meantime, the monument stays put.

By the way, Governor Fallin isn't the only one standing up to our rogue courts. County clerks across the country are resisting and resigning over the Supreme Court's redefinition of marriage. In one Tennessee county, the entire staff of the clerk's office resigned.

These public servants are being forced to choose between their faith and their professions. For them, the laws of nature and nature's God are supreme.

We were told by the left that same-sex marriages wouldn't harm anyone. But, sadly, as we have seen in the prosecutions of bakers, florists, photographers, fire chiefs and military chaplains, the new "right" to same-sex marriage is eroding the religious liberty rights of men and women of faith. (Gary Bauer)

"Capturing" Jerusalem

"Capturing" Jerusalem

The left's efforts to erase history are not limited to the United States. The U.N. Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) adopted a resolution Tuesday slamming Israel for "illegal excavations" in the Old City of Jerusalem.

The resolution completely ignores any Jewish historical connection to Jerusalem, and refers to the Temple Mount area only as a "Muslim holy site of worship." Of course, the Temple Mount is a holy place to Jews, who predated Muslim influence. The site is of great historic importance to Christians too.

For years there has been an effort by Islamists to claim that Jews have no historical roots in Jerusalem. If they succeed, they will not only erase Jewish history, but they will also turn the Bible into a book of lies instead of revealed Truth.

"Mainline" Christian denominations busy passing boycotts and divestment resolutions against Israel may want to reflect on who they are allied with. They are helping to destroy the history of the faith they claim allegiance to. (Gary Bauer)

"Pattani Malays of Thailand"

The Pattani Malay people group is an ethnic community of devout Muslim people of Malay descent living in southern Thailand. They number about 3.5 million.

The Pattani Malay have a rich cultural heritage and are highly skilled craftsmen. These skills can be seen in their colourful fishing boats called korlae and other handicrafts. Many earn their living by fishing, working in fish factories, tapping rubber, or farming vegetables or fruits
Generally, however, Muslims in southern Thailand earn less than the minimum wage. Many are caught in a poverty cycle exacerbated by low income and high birth rates.
The provinces where most Pattani Malay live are a long way from the centre of Thai government, and the Pattani Malay have developed a sense of uniqueness and independence. However, each time the government tries to centralise control in their provinces, this independence is threatened, resulting in resentment toward the government.
Most Pattani Malay speak a dialect of Malay. Thai is rarely spoken in the village context, though it is used at school and when dealing with government officials or Thai Buddhists. Pattani Malay remains their heart language.
The Pattani Malay generally live in close-knit communities, and social acceptance is important. Young people are increasingly influenced by TV and films though, and drug addiction and immorality are on the rise. Economic and political problems are found alongside environmental ones; this often undermines the Pattani Malay's traditional way of life. Pattani Malays live in a time of crisis, with violent responses to instability becoming a growing concern.
Unlike most of the population of Thailand, who are Buddhist, the Pattani Malay are Muslim. Throughout all the recent changes and crises the Pattani Malays have experienced, Islam has been a constant. Since the beginnings of the ancient Malay kingdom in Thailand, Islam has had a major influence on their culture. They closely adhere to Islamic law, or sharia, which is taught in the traditional Islamic schools called pondoks. Owing to their dedication to the Islamic faith, the Pattani Malay have a distinct identity in Thailand.
How can we pray?

For affordable educational opportunities to be developed that will help break the cycle of poverty for the Pattani Malay.

That more Pattani Malay will read and hear the story of Jesus and experience His transforming power.

Ask the Holy Spirit to grant wisdom and favour to missions agencies and workers focusing on this people group.

Songs Our Grandmothers Sang:

TRUST AND OBEY

"O Lord Almighty, blessed is the man who trusts in You." (Psalm 84:11-12)

Lyrics:

When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will, He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Refrain

Trust and obey, for there's no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

Refrain

Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.

Refrain

But we never can prove the delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

Refrain

Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet.
Or we'll walk by His side in the way.
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.

Refrain

About the Hymn:

This song gives a simple, clear explanation of living the Christian life. A young man stood to speak, and it soon became clear he knew little Christian doctrine. But he finished by saying, "I'm not quite sure-but I'm going to trust, and I'm going to obey." Signs and Wonders

NOCTILUCENT CLOUDS:

Summer is the season for noctilucent (night-shining) clouds, and the month of July is often when they are at their best. On July 6th, Jüri Voit photographed these electric-blue ripples over Estonia:

"The combination of moonlight and noctilucent clouds (NLCs) was magical," says Voit. "What a night!"

NLCs are Earth's highest clouds. Seeded by meteoroids, they float at the edge of space more than 80 km above the planet's surface. The clouds are very cold and filled with tiny ice crystals. When sunbeams hit those crystals, they glow electric-blue. (SpaceWeather.com)

"There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea." (Luke 21:25)

Nigerian Chibok Pastor Says He's 'Grateful' That Kidnapped Daughter - Stoned to Death by Boko Haram - Did Not Deny Christ

A Nigerian pastor has said that he's grateful his daughter, who was one of the over 200 Chibok girls kidnapped by Boko Haram in 2014, did not convert to Islam and died "for the sake of Christ" when the terror group forced her to choose between her life and her faith.

A video clip of pastor Mark, part of a BBC Panorama investigation that was originally published in June, captures the father revealing the details of his kidnapped daughter, Monica's, death.

"I was told that my daughter refused to change her religion. I was told that they dug a hole and buried her from the neck and stoned her to death," the pastor says.

"To die for the sake of Christ, that's the happiest thing for me. I'm grateful that she didn't change her religion. She trust[ed] in God."

His wife, identified only as Marta, adds: "I believe she died with dignity. Monica is now in heaven because she refused to convert." (Christian Post) Read more here.
