GOD SENDS A SIGN OF LIFE IN THE SKIES OVER ISRAEL

Amazing. Above Israel, "Chai" shines -- the Hebrew symbol of life!

In the skies over Israel recently, a day of stabbings and terror in Israel -- above Nahariya -- the sun shone through the clouds. It made the shape of "Chai" -- the Hebrew symbol for Life.

The enemies of Israel wish for death. Yet Israel survives because Israel receives life from the God of Israel.

Am Yisrael Chai!

> > > Please note that "Am Yisrael Chai" are the same words that PM Benjamin Netanyahu spoke in Hebrew in his fiery warning to the members of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Thursday, October 1, 2015.

1. Netanyahu Is Bringing a $4.5 Billion-a-Year Arms Wish List to Obama - Bloomberg

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu returns to the White House next week seeking to boost annual U.S. military aid to an estimated $4.5 billion and, his former ambassador to Washington says, unapologetic about trying to sink the U.S.-led Iran nuclear deal.

"It's not going to be warm and fuzzy," said Michael Oren, an Israeli lawmaker who was Netanyahu's U.S. envoy for five years. "It's about what we need to defend ourselves and what we need to deter Iran."

Netanyahu's March 3 speech to the Republican-led Congress opposing the Iran accord so strained ties with President Barack Obama that he was told he wouldn't be welcome at the White House. Now that the deal has been approved, both men have reasons to focus during this visit on areas of agreement, such as strengthening Israel's defense capabilities. Few expect resolution of their ideological differences over Iran and peace efforts with the Palestinians before Obama's term ends. (Read more)

2. Syrian opposition figure welcomes more Israeli attacks - Jerusalem Post

A Syrian opposition activist based in Jordan told The Jerusalem Post that the rebels want Israel to increase attacks against President Bashar Assad's forces and those of his Shi'ite allies.

Naser Abu-Magd told the Post on Monday night - in an ongoing email exchange dating back to late last year - that the Syrian opposition welcomes Israeli strikes against Assad's regime or Hezbollah. (Read more)

3. PA to spend $7m to support Palestinians in Hebron - Jerusalem Post

The Palestinian Authority government on Tuesday announced a series of moves to support Palestinians in Hebron, including the launch of 20 projects in the fields of education, health and infrastructure at a cost of $7 million.

The government also decided to pay a monthly grant of $100 to more than 1,000 families living in the Israeli-controlled part of the city and to establish a special fund to support the Old City of Hebron, whose residents also would receive various privileges including a raise in salary for PA employees and financial aid to merchants.

The decisions come amid criticism the PA has not been doing enough to support Hebron's residents, especially in light of the IDF's recent security measures and settler "provocations." (Read more)

4. Israeli and Palestinian representatives clash at UN anti-corruption forum - Jerusalem Post

A confrontation between Israeli and Palestinian representatives erupted on Tuesday at the sixth session of the Conference of the States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption, which is taking place in St. Petersburg, Russia.

In his speech, the Palestinian representative pointed a finger at Israel regarding recent incidents in the region, citing alleged burning of children and violations of the sanctity of holy sites.

Following the accusations, Israel's representative, Ministry of Justice director-general Emi Palmor - whose speech was supposed to focus only on aspects of Israel's involvement in the fight against corruption - began her address by stressing that "Israeli citizens are exposed to daily terrorism, incitement and disinformation on the part of the Palestinians." 5. Jordanian cleric walks back fatwa against killing Jews - Jerusalem Post

A senior Jordanian Salafi sheikh who stirred controversy in the Muslim world recently by issuing a fatwa against the killing of Jews, walked back his comments in a video released Tuesday.

Sheikh Ali Halabi had said in a video from February, which went viral in recent days, that Jews can be killed during war only, and that killing them at other times is a betrayal. When asked by a student if it is permissible to kill Jews in Palestine, the sheikh answered: "Someone who protects you, gives you electricity and water, transfers you money and you work for him and take his money - would you betray him, even if he was a Jew?"

According to the sheikh's original fatwa, killing is allowed during clashes or declared war, "But if you trust him and he trusts you, then it is forbidden to betray him. And therefore you are forbidden to murder him." When the sheikh was asked by a student about armed Israeli soldiers in the streets, he responded: "The same answer. Does a soldier holding a weapon in the street kill every Muslim he sees?" The student answered "No."

After facing a backlash for the comments from the Muslim Brotherhood and other political rivals, Halabi released two videos, translated by MEMRI, in which he rebutted the criticism. (Read more)

6. Knesset mulls sanctions for MKs who visit Temple Mount - Israel Hayom

The Knesset may sanction MKs who visit the Temple Mount in violation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's directive not to go there, Israel Hayom learned Sunday. On Oct. 7, as part of the government's efforts to defuse tensions in Jerusalem, Netanyahu temporarily banned MKs from visiting the volatile holy site.

Defying Netanyahu's explicit orders, Israeli Arab MK Basel Ghattas (Joint Arab List) visited the compound last week, saying that "neither Netanyahu nor the powers of the occupation will prevent Arabs and Muslim believers from realizing their right to pray at Al-Aqsa mosque or any holy Muslim site."

Ghattas' visit demonstrated that unless police stationed on the Temple Mount recognize MKs trying to enter the compound and prevent them from doing so, there is no legal way to remove them from the premises. (Read more)

1. Ancient fortress discovery may solve one of Jerusalem's great archaeological mysteries - Fox News

Archaeologists in Israel believe they have found the remains of an ancient Greek fortification used to control the Temple in Jerusalem more than 2,000 years ago. The citadel was recently uncovered during archaeological excavations in a parking lot at the City of David, which is in the Jerusalem Walls National Park.

The Greek fortifications, known as the Acra, were built during the reign of Antiochus IV Epiphanes to control the city and monitor activity in the Temple. However, the Acra's exact location has been one of Jerusalem's great archaeological mysteries, according to the Israel Antiquities Authority.

"It has been an open question in the archaeology of Jerusalem," Excavation Director Doron Ben-Ami told FoxNews.com. "For hundreds of years scholars, archaeologists and historians have been looking for the location of this Acra and many, many different locations have been suggested."

Now the parking lot has revealed its incredible secret. "This sensational discovery allows us for the first time to reconstruct the layout of the settlement in the city," wrote excavation directors Ben-Ami, Yana Tchekhanovets and Salome Cohen, in a statement released by the Israel Antiquities Authority. "The new archaeological finds indicate the establishment of a well-fortified stronghold that was constructed on the high bedrock cliff overlooking the steep slopes of the City of David hill."

The stronghold, they added, controlled all means of approach to the Temple atop the Temple Mount, and cut the Temple off from the southern parts of the city. (Read more and view a stunning photo of this discovery by going here.)

- Father, the unearthing of this original watchtower that was built to guard and to protect the city of King David is a prophetic sign that we are ALL now called to serve You as "watchmen on the wall." Today, we ask for a fresh mantle of anointing, that we might each stand tall and true . . . guarding the way to Your Kingdom, lest invaders and imposters enter in. We ask this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Yeshua, our Messiah, amen.

- "I will stand upon my watch, and set myself upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved." (Habakkuk 2:1)

2. NASA Study: Mass Gains of Antarctic Ice Sheet Greater than Losses -NASA

A new NASA study says that an increase in Antarctic snow accumulation that began 10,000 years ago is currently adding enough ice to the continent to outweigh the increased losses from its thinning glaciers. The research challenges the conclusions of other studies, including the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change's (IPCC) 2013 report, which says that Antarctica is overall losing land ice.

According to the new analysis of satellite data, the Antarctic ice sheet showed a net gain of 112 billion tons of ice a year from 1992 to 2001. That net gain slowed to 82 billion tons of ice per year between 2003 and 2008. (Read more)

- Father the lies that are out there over "global warming" or "Climate change" are horrific and designed to control the people of the nations. We pray with this study, the people who subscribe to these theories will see truth. Let their eyes be opened!

- "Truth shall spring out of the earth, and righteousness shall look down from heaven." (Psalm 85:11)

3. Explosion likely brought down Russian airliner, sources say - Fox News

Evidence suggests an explosion -- and not a mechanical malfunction -- brought down the Russian passenger jet over Egypt, two sources told Fox News Wednesday.

One congressional source put the chance of an explosion at 80 percent. That source says an ISIS device is under strong consideration, but that investigators have not reached a conclusion. (Read more)

- Father, if ISIS indeed did bring this jetliner down, then the danger has increased dramatically for all nations that fly between continents. We pray for comfort for the families of the 224 people who died, and protection for all who fly on commercial jetliners.

- "He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge . . ." (Psalm 91:41)

4. Student fatally shot after stabbing 4 at UC Merced - CNN

A male student at University of California, Merced, stabbed four people on campus as classes began Wednesday morning and was later fatally shot by campus police, a school spokesman said.

Two of those stabbed were transported for treatment via helicopter, the school said on Twitter, while the two others were treated on campus. (Read more)

- Lord we pray for mercy for the victims and families of this incident. We bind the spirit of murder across America and in Jesus' Mighty Name and by His Blood we loose Your Holy Spirit against it.

- "So they shall fear the name of the Lord from the west, and His Glory from the rising of the sun; when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him." (Isaiah 59:19)

5. American Pastors Respond When Asked if Islam Is 'Dangerous,' Violent and 'Spiritually Evil' - The Blaze

A growing proportion of U.S. pastors are labeling the Muslim faith violent and dangerous, according to a new LifeWay Research poll.

Fifty-two percent of Protestant preachers surveyed viewed Islam as dangerous, up from 44 percent when the question was asked back in 2010. Likewise, 49 percent said that the Muslim faith promotes violence - an increase from 42 percent.

The proportion of those calling the faith spiritually evil also increased from 39 percent to 46 percent in the latest wave of the study. (Read more)

- Lord, we thank You that some of the responses are moving higher in numbers toward waking up from slumber. I pray that You would do whatever it takes to move Your people out of dull hearing into truth and light, so that we will become who You have meant us to be.

- "Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you." (Isaiah 60:1)

6. San Diego Standoff Suspect in Custody, Ground Stop Lifted at Airport - ABC

A ground stop has been lifted at San Diego International Airport Wednesday afternoon after a suspect armed with a long-range rifle was taken into custody following a standoff with police.

Police responding to a domestic violence call heard gunshots near West Kalmia and Brant streets in the Bankers Hill neighborhood at about 10 a.m.

Officials said the man opened fire sporadically inside a nearby apartment complex, causing SWAT officers to swarm the building. (Read more)

- Father, as more and more of these shootings continue to occur, we ask that wisdom be granted to leaders rather than emotional reactions.

"The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, but the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness." (Proverbs 15:2)

7. Bullies lose, sanity wins in Houston: There will be no man parts in the ladies room - Fox News

The bullies lost. After a nearly 18-month slugfest, Houston's LGBT nondiscrimination ordinance was crushed in a landslide defeat Tuesday - rejected by 61 percent of voters. "The people of the city have spoken and they have spoken loudly," Houston pastor Steve Riggle told me. (Read more)

- Lord we rejoice in this victory for sanity over sin. We thank You that people rose up and voted. We pray that You will either move on the heart of Houston's lesbian Mayor or remove her from office.

- "Fill their faces with shame, that they may seek Your name, O Lord. Let them be confounded and dismayed forever." (Psalm 83:16-17)

8. Republicans make history in Kentucky election - Fox News

Republicans made history on two fronts in Kentucky Tuesday night - not only did Matt Bevin become the state's second GOP governor in four decades, but running mate Jenean Hampton became the first African-American ever elected to Kentucky statewide office.

Hampton's historic accomplishment winning the lieutenant governor post was initially overshadowed by Bevin's hard-fought gubernatorial race win over Democratic state Attorney General Jack Conway, an off-year election battle that drew national interest. (Read more)

- Thank You, Lord for this small victory in Kentucky. We ask that You will grant wisdom to all the Conservatives who won their races, and guard them from making serious mistakes. Let it truly be a historical election for good in America.

- "When a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies be at peace with him." (Proverbs 16:7)

9. Ohioans reject legalizing marijuana- The Columbus Dispatch

Ohioans pushed a monopoly marijuana-legalization proposal out the door Tuesday by a nearly 2-to-1 vote. But the question is, will pot make a comeback?

Although Issue 3 was handily defeated, the debate and conversations about the issue have convinced House Speaker Cliff Rosenberg, R-Clarksville, and other state lawmakers who were staunchly opposed to legalization to now say it may be time to move ahead with medical marijuana. (Read more)

- Lord we are thankful that Ohio did not fall under the spell of legalization of marijuana. Medical marijuana for those who have terminal disease is one thing; recreational use is just another product that can be abused. We pray, Lord that You will not just reveal truth, but You will bring so much life to people that they will not seek to numb themselves with drugs.

- "Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light." (Ephesians 5:14)

10. Reform Jews poised to pass transgender resolution - AP

When Rabbi Elliot Kukla became the first out transgender rabbi ordained in the Reform Jewish movement almost a decade ago, he would get questions from other rabbis along the lines of "There's a transgender congregant coming to services. What should I do?" He would tell the other rabbis to greet them with, "Shabbat shalom," the traditional welcome for anybody.

Now, other rabbis ask more sophisticated questions and lack the discomfort of the earlier ones: Is there a ritual for a trans man who is converting to Judaism but doesn't have a penis for a traditional circumcision? How can we celebrate a 12-year-old trans girl's name change at her Bat Mitzvah?

Recognizing this, the body that represents synagogues in the Reform Jewish movement -Judaism's largest U.S. branch - is poised Thursday to pass the most far-reaching resolution on transgender rights of any major religious organization. The resolution under consideration at the movement's biennial conference in Orlando affirms the equality of transgender people and welcomes them into congregations, camps and other Reform Jewish institutions.

The resolution calls for Reform Jewish congregations and camps to have gender-neutral bathrooms, encourages gender-neutral language at Reform Jewish institutions, suggests training on gender issues for religious school staff and encourages advocating on behalf of the transgender community. (Read more)

- Father, we pray for a move of Your Holy Spirit among both Christian denominations and Jews of every order. Lord, we know there is a difference between treating the individuals with love and condoning their behaviors. So many have crossed that line and are actively condoning the sins around us. Have mercy on Your people, Father, and grant us repentance.

". . . Repent, for the kingdom of God is at hand!" (Matthew 3:2)

Houston Eclipses Expectations!

Space City (Houston) Eclipses Expectations!

Almost a year to the day after FRC's "I Stand Sunday" event, Houston stood all right! With one voice, voters banded together, overpowered the mayor's agenda, and took their city back. Proposition 1, the ordinance that would have punished free speech and forced a radical definition of sexuality on Houston's most innocent, went down in flames last night, shocking the nation with
a landslide 62-38% victory.
It was a political rout few expected, including some of the effort's biggest backers. "Stunned" was the subject line of the email from the Human Rights Campaign, an organization that sank more than $1 million into the mayor's transgender push. In the end, no amount of money or celebrity endorsements could compete with the grassroots' resolve. Conservatives may have been outspent (3-1!), but they weren't outnumbered.
With a repeal movement more than a year in the making, churches and local citizen groups made up for the lack of dollars with hard work. After months of rallies, door-to-door campaigning, pastor networking, and coalition work, their determination paid off with a voter turnout twice the size of the last three elections! Despite all of the misinformation thrown Houston's way, voters ultimately saw through the Left's "tolerance" to the truth. Ads like Faith Family Freedom Fund's, which were seen by more than 300,000 Houstonians, certainly helped
"The supporters of this proposition brought in movie stars and elites from Washington, D.C. and Hollywood to try to force their twisted agenda on the good people of Texas," said Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick (R). "It didn't work and advocates of this ridiculous proposal are on notice tonight that the voters of Houston will not stand for this kind of liberal nonsense." A Great Night For Conservatives

A Great Night For Conservatives

Several states and localities held off-year elections yesterday. For the most part, it was a great night for conservatives! Here's a brief summary of the major contests.

Kentucky -- Kentuckians elected only the second Republican governor in more than 40 years. The winner, Matt Bevin, came out of the Tea Party movement. He challenged Sen. Mitch McConnell last year, and narrowly won the GOP primary for governor this year.
The state has been at the center of the same-sex marriage controversy for some time now. Bevin promised voters that he would defend Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis, who refused to issue same-sex marriage licenses, and defund Planned Parenthood.
Virginia -- Governor Terry McAuliffe (D), who barely won in 2013, desperately wanted to flip control the Virginia state Senate. He needed to win only one seat to gain control (with the lieutenant governor breaking tie votes). But Republicans held on to their 21-to-19 majority.
New York City - Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg wanted to show what a full-fledged attack on gun rights could do to Second Amendment conservatives. Bloomberg poured millions of dollars into key races, attempting to exploit the tragic shooting of two reporters earlier this year. He failed. Yesterday's vote was a victory for the Second Amendment
Houston -- The radical left-wing social agenda took a major hit in Houston. The lesbian mayor of Houston rammed through a broadly written, so-called "equal rights" statute that also included transgendered individuals as a protected class. . . Pastors -- black, white and Hispanic -- quickly figured out that the left's agenda would force their daughters to undress in locker rooms in front of boys who claim they are girls and allow men who claim they are women to use public women's restrooms. They mobilized opposition to the law and collected signatures to put a repeal measure on the ballot.

Polls showed the law would be narrowly supported by the voters. But it lost last night 61%-to-39%. A Washington Post reporter saw the writing on the wall when he visited Houston and saw long lines of African Americans waiting to vote early with t-shirts that read, "No men in women's bathrooms."

Ohio -- Voters in the Buckeye State rejected recreational marijuana use by a 2-to-1.
San Francisco -- Yes, even in the liberal paradise of San Francisco there were conservative victories. Onerous new business regulations were voted down and the pro-sanctuary city sheriff lost reelection!
Whether it was rural Democrats in Kentucky, black and Hispanic Democrats in Houston, blue collar Democrats in Ohio or pro-Second Amendment, working class voters in Virginia, conservative causes and candidates were able to win by putting together coalitions and boldly defending our values. The Iran Deal: Backlash

Backlash, Not Benefits

In pushing his nuclear deal with Iran, President Obama and his left-wing supporters put their faith in a fantasy. They thought that the mullahs of Iran might moderate their hatred if we demonstrated our goodwill toward the regime.

In fact, when the nuclear deal was announced, President Obama declared, "This deal demonstrates that American diplomacy can bring about real and meaningful change."

But has there been real and meaningful change? Yes, but it is change for the worse. Just consider today's news from Tehran:

"American flags and effigies of President Barack Obama were set ablaze on Wednesday as thousands gathered to mark the anniversary of the 1979 takeover of the Iranian capital's U.S. Embassy." -- NBC News.

"Thousands of Iranians burned the American flag and chanted slogans Wednesday as they marked the anniversary of the seizure of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran by militant students 36 years ago. . . An Iranian official also chose the occasion to announce the arrest of an unspecified number of allegedly pro-American writers." -- Associated Press.

"Iran will not cooperate with the United States on the 'fight against terrorists in Syria,' a top adviser to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was quoted as saying by state media on Wednesday." -- Reuters.

"Anyone who hoped that Iran's nuclear agreement with the United States and other powers portended a new era of openness with the West has been jolted with a series of increasingly rude awakenings over the past few weeks. . . Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the supreme leader, said the 'Death to America' slogan is eternal." -- New York Times.

What a Muslim Mob in Uganda Did to a Christian Mother-Of-Eight When She Refused to Stop Sharing the Gospel

According to East African Center for Law and Justice (EACLJ), Christians make up about 84% of Uganda's population, and Muslims, who are primarily Sunni, represent 12% of the population.

A Christian mother in Uganda was recently beaten to death by a mob of Muslims because she and her family refused to stop preaching the Gospel despite ongoing threats.

According to a report from Morning Star News, Mamwikomba Mwanika, a mother of eight children, was taken from her home in Kalampete village in Kibuku District and killed last week. A short time earlier, her brother-in-law, Samson Nfunyeku, was killed in the same village after debating with Islamic scholars.

The report notes that Mwanika opened the door of her home to a mob of Muslims who demanded to see her husband, also a Christian. However, her husband was not at home, further angering the mob.

"Your husband has followed the religion of his brother, and we had warned you people to stop these activities, but our message has landed on deaf ears," the Muslims told her.

Mwanika's 13-year-old daughter told Morning Star News that the mob then "dragged our mother outside the house as she screamed and cried for help."

A short time later, she was found by her husband and neighbors in a pool of blood near her home. While she was still alive when they found her, Mwanika died en route to the hospital.

"I know that the attackers are looking for me," her husband, George Mwanika, said following the incident. "We are seeking God's protection and His peace. May God give me the courage to continue sharing the love of Christ to those who are lost, as Jesus said we should love our enemies."

He added, "We really need prayers."

According to East African Center for Law and Justice (EACLJ), Christians make up about 84% of Uganda's population, and Muslims, who are primarily Sunni, represent 12% of the population.

Despite the statistics, there are many cases of persecution in this country, the EACLJ notes, primarily due to the rise of Muslim extremist groups like Al-shabab. (Gospel Herald) Also reported by Breaking Christian News. Read more here.

Songs Our Grandmothers Sang:

WHEN THEY RING THE GOLDEN BELLS

"The Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces." (Isaiah 25:8)

Lyrics

There's a land beyond the river, That we call the sweet forever, And we only reach that shore by faith's decree; One by one we'll gain the portals, There to dwell with the immortals, When they ring the golden bells for you and me.

Refrain

Don't you hear the bells now ringing?
Don't you hear the angels singing?
'Tis the glory hallelujah Jubilee.
In that far off sweet forever,
Just beyond the shining river,
When they ring the golden bells for you and me.

We shall know no sin or sorrow, In that haven of tomorrow, When our barque shall sail beyond the silver sea; We shall only know the blessing Of our Father's sweet caressing, When they ring the golden bells for you and me.

Refrain

When our days shall know their number, And in death we sweetly slumber, When the King commands the spirit to be free; Nevermore with anguish laden, We shall reach that lovely Eden, When they ring the golden bells for you and me.

NASA News: New Ancient Earthworks Discovered in Kazakhstan

In what could be one of the most interesting finds in history, NASA has released satellite photos of a number of mysterious ancient earthworks captured above Kazakhstan.

The discovery was first unearthed by Dmitriy Dey, a Kazakh economist and archaeology enthusiast. It was initially called the Steppe Geoglyphs due to its puzzling and highly geographical view from the Google Earth photos. It was reportedly described in 2014 as "unique" by a group of archeaologists in a conference in Istanbul and remains today as a mystery to the people who have taken a look at the photos.

The New York Times describes the pictures as "colossal earthworks - geometric gigures of squares, crosses, lines, and rings the size of several football fields. The findings are estimated to be about 8,000 years old and became a topic of interest recently to many archaeology enthusiasts.

The images released by NASA were taken from about 430 miles above the air, and Compton J. Tucker, a senior biospheric scientist for NASA said, "I've never seen anything like this; I found it remarkable."

Dey says he was watching "Pyramids, Mummies, and Tombs" on Discovery Channel when he became interested in looking for pyramids in Kazakhstan. As he looked around Google Earth for supposed pyramids in the region, he stumbled upon the mysterious figures and continued to research on what the figures could possibly mean and where they orginated.

The enthusiast first believed that what he first found was a remainder from the Soviet installation. However, he later found eight other figures before the day ended, and to date, he has a long list of 260 figures that include various shapes and mounds.

Astronauts in the International Space Station (ISS) have been tasked to further observe the Kazakh region to get more information about the mystery.

One of the more commonly looked at figures in the so-called Steppe Geoglyphs is the Bestamskoe Ring. It has at least 260 earthwork shapes that contain mounds, trenches, and ramparts that form a round-shaped geographical figure.

While many enthusiasts are now looking at the discoveries, Dey warns that time is crucial for the study of the figures as one figure called the Koga Cross has been destroyed by road builders just this year. (Christian Post) Read more here.

Courageous and Risky, Daring Missionary Brings the Gospel to this Suffering People-group in One of the "Most Dangerous Places in the World"

Victor Marx also a former U.S. Marine and a trained martial arts seventh degree black belt.

Marx takes teams of missionaries and aid workers on what he calls "high-risk missions" trips, going to places where no one else wants to go, but where the need is great.

Victor Marx talked about his visit to Kurdistan with Pat Robertson on The 700 Club, Thursday, Oct. 29. (Click here to watch)

Recently, he led a team to the Kurdistan region of Northern Iraq, where he and his fellow high-risk missionaries spoke with Yazidi men, women, and children who were driven from their homes. Many of them were tortured and their families killed by ISIS.

The Yazidis belong to a religious community that has its own culture. They are not Muslims, nor are they Christians, but they have been viciously attacked by ISIS and driven out of their homes in Northern Iraq, near the Syrian border.

Huge numbers of Yazidis are now living in IDP (Internally Displaced People) camps in Iraq. Countless Yazidi women and girls have been raped and tortured by ISIS fighters.

Marx and his team ministered the love of Christ to the Yazidi victims of ISIS. They also met with members of the Peshmerga, the Kurdish military, who are trying to stop ISIS from advancing further into Kurdish and Iraqi territory. (CBN) Read more.
