"Praying for All in Authority"
Tuesday, November 17, 2015

After I turned away [from You], I repented; After I was instructed, I struck my thigh [in remorse]; I was ashamed and even humiliated Because I carried the disgrace of my youth [as a nation]. (Jer. 31:19 AMP)

Notre Dame Cathedral: November 15, 2015 (Matthew 5:4)
Pray for Protection: Washington, D.C.

Pray for Protection: Washington, D.C.

Dear Intercessors,

There have been repeated terrorist threats against Washington, DC, all day. - on the news and in the prophetic. We are being warned. For the sake of the innocent lives, and for the glory of God, let's blanket this city with our declarations . . .

From our elevated position in the heavenly places in Christ:

- We declare the sovereignty and superiority of the King of kings and Lord of lords, Jesus Christ, over these threats, over all plans to bring death and destruction, and over Washington, DC.-- OUR GOD REIGNS!

- We stand in the authority of Isaiah 22:22 and we close the spiritual doors of access and apply the Blood of the Passover Lamb of God against the spirits of death and blood lust that drives these attacks.

- We cry out to the Commander of the Heavenly Hosts to release His mighty warring angels to turn back the battle at the gate and to fortify any unguarded or weakly guarded entries that may be at risk.

- We cry out got for the God of Mercy to expose all evil plans to authorities and to disallow any souls to be stolen by the enemy.

- We declare NO glory for allah and NO plunder of souls going to hell.

Mighty God, bring disarray, confusion, defection, and a holy fear of God into the enemy camp. Sever their communication network and their tracking systems. Diffuse the power of every explosive device and expose every evil scheme and terrorist activity, in Jesus' name - and for Your glory! AMEN.

GOD SENDS A SIGN OF LIFE IN THE SKIES OVER ISRAEL

Amazing. Above Israel, "Chai" shines -- the Hebrew symbol of life!

1. Netanyahu Under Arrest Warrant in Spain; Israel Calls it a 'Provocation' - United With Israel

A Supreme Court judge in Madrid, Spain, renewed an old, defeated case against Israel by ordering the arrest of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon and five former ministers - Dan Meridor, Eli Yishai, Avigdor Liberman, Ehud Barak and Benny Begin - if they step foot on Spanish soil.

Eliezer Marom, top IDF commander at the time, reportedly may be added to the list.

In 2010, the Israeli navy intercepted the Mavi Marmara, a Comoros-flagged Turkish ship, as it attempted to violate the maritime blockade on Gaza. Passengers on board, claiming to have brought only humanitarian supplies, ambushed the IDF soldiers with knives and metal rods. In the ensuing fight, 10 Turkish activists were killed and several IDF soldiers seriously wounded.

2. Bennett: It's either Israel or ISIS in the West Bank - Jerusalem Post

ISIS would move into any area Israel would vacate in the West Bank, Education Minister Naftali Bennett said on Monday as he warned against the creation of a Palestinian state and attacked Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his support of such an idea.

"Either you will be here, or ISIS," will be here, Bennett told students at Ariel University, which is located in the Samaria region of the West Bank.

His statement came as the world continued to reel from Friday night's terrorist attacks in Paris, in which at least 129 people were killed.

3. Hamas: First Judea and Samaria, then the rest of 'Palestine' - Israel National News

Hamas plans to "liberate" Judea and Samaria first, and then the rest of "Palestine", the group's deputy leader Ismail Haniyeh declared on Sunday.

Speaking to the Palestine newspaper, Haniyeh outlined his desired strategy for the destruction of Israel through the "Al-Quds Intifada", which is what Hamas is calling the current terror wave against Israel.

First and foremost, he called for a conference in Gaza of the interim leadership of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) in order to protect and develop the intifada.

The intifada is the best way to achieve statehood, claimed Haniyeh, and in order to achieve that, leadership that is coordinated on the field must be established, and an agreement on the goals of the intifada must be reached.

4. To avoid violence, PM proposes 'alternative synagogue' in Givat Ze'ev - Times of Israel

As the High Court of Justice's deadline for demolishing an illegally built synagogue in the Givat Ze'ev settlement approaches, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, along with religious cabinet ministers, agreed on Sunday to build a replacement house of worship nearby, officials said.

Netanyahu met with Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon, Jewish Home party leader Naftali Bennett and Shas party leader Aryeh Deri, along with the head of the Givat Ze'ev regional council, Yossi Avrahami, to finalize the deal that is aimed at relieving some of the contention surrounding the structure.

According to the agreement, construction on the proposed synagogue would begin immediately, and the congregation would move to a temporary location in the meantime.

5. Israel raps Sweden envoy after minister's remarks on Palestinian 'desperation'

The director general of Israel's Foreign Ministry, Dore Gold, reprimanded the Swedish ambassador to Israel Carl Magnus Nesser on Monday after Sweden's foreign minister appeared to draw a connection between the Paris attacks and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Margot Wallström, Sweden's minister of foreign affairs, told Sweden's state television over the weekend that other countries should worry about the rise of extremism. "Yes, it is clear that we have reasons to worry. . . to see that there are so many people who have become radicalized.

"And once again we return to situations like that in the Middle East, especially (concerning) Palestinians who think: There is no future for us, we must accept a desperate situation or resort to violence."

6. Israel behind Paris attacks, cartoons on Palestinian social media insinuate -Jerusalem Post

The main Palestinian political party Fatah has published cartoons insinuating that Israel was behind the terror attacks in Paris on Friday that killed 132 people, the NGO Palestinian Media Watch has reported.

ISIS claimed responsibility for the attacks and a man hunt was taking place in Belgium on Monday to apprehend suspects.

The drawings were published on Fatah's official Facebook page, according to PMW.

The first cartoon depicts a grinning Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu watching Paris from a balcony with a telescope while a grinning ISIS terrorist stands beside him with an assault rifle. A second cartoon shows a matchbox labelled terrorism with two matches: the head of one match depicts the face of an ISIS fighter and the head of the other match shows the head of an orthodox Jew.

The Daily Brief

1. Paris Terror Attacks: France Could Invoke NATO Collective Defense Clause - IBTimes

As world leaders decried the attacks as an "act of war" and international media trumpeted the arrival of World War III, security experts said Saturday a perfect storm could be brewing for an invocation of the NATO's Article 5, the clause declaring an attack against one ally to be an attack against all.

The defense clause of NATO's founding treaty stipulates that if invoked, each of the members will assist the party attacked. NATO's military resources include more than 3 million troops under arms, 25,000 aircraft and 800 oceangoing warships, according to Foreign Policy. Economically, the alliance is also an intimidating force, representing more than 50 percent of global GDP. (Read more)

- Father, we ask you to give wisdom, patience, and clarity to NATO leaders, and may they know your perfect will for actions they should take and not take as it relates to understanding and responding to the attacks and threats upon them.

-"If your sons will keep My covenant And My testimony which I shall teach them, Their sons also shall sit upon your throne forevermore." (Psalm 132:12)

2. Paris attacks: Terror funding to be cut off, says Cameron - BBC.com

World leaders have agreed "important steps" to cut off funding for terror groups, David Cameron has said. Speaking at the G20 summit in Turkey, the PM said Friday's attacks in Paris "underlined the threat we all face". He earlier met Russia's President Vladimir Putin to discuss tackling the Islamic State group and the Syrian war. He said the gap between Russia and the West's position on Syria "has been enormous", but now "everyone recognises the need for compromise". (Read more)

- Oh Lord, how the world needs Your wisdom to push back the evil that does not listen to man and seems to be intimidated by no one. We know You are stronger than this anti-Christ spirit and pray that the world's leaders now gathered in Turkey will seek You and Your solutions to the frequent and bloodthirsty attacks on innocent people. We pray for effective coordination among all nations. For the sake of Your people, Lord, give these leaders plans to eliminate this wickedness. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ, amen and amen.

- "The wicked arrogantly hunt down the poor. Let them be caught in the evil they plan for others." (Psalms 10:2)

3. 'Anonymous will hunt you down!' Hacktivists declare 'total war' on ISIS after Paris attacks - RT.com

The hacktivist group Anonymous, engaged in electronic warfare against Islamic State, has declared 'total war' on the terror group following the deadly attacks in France, while pledging to hunt down every single supporter of the jihadist group online.

Throughout the year, the group has tracked, hacked, unmasked, and reported thousands of Twitter accounts that were run by or associated with IS members. The hactivists' work this year resulted in the dismantling some 149 IS-linked websites, according to a recent report in Foreign Policy. Anonymous also flagged roughly 101,000 Twitter accounts and 5,900 propaganda videos. (Read more)

- Father, we are encouraged that this group has been able to degrade the ability of ISIS to communicate their evil plans. Lord, we pray for more groups to be able to engage in stopping ISIS and for Anonymous to be able to continue and to be even more successful. In the end, though, we recognize and decree that it is You we look to for protective covering in all areas of our lives.

- "And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible." (Isaiah 13:11)

4. GOP Candidates Reject Obama's Refugee Plan: 'Lunacy,' 'Huge Mistake,' 'No Way to Vet' - CNSNews.com

The terror attacks in Paris have focused new attention on the issue of Syrian refugee admissions, with several Republican presidential candidates hardening opposition to President Obama's decision to allow 10,000 of them to settle in the United States during the current fiscal year.

"Bringing people into this country from that area of the world I think is a huge mistake," retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson said on Fox News Sunday. "Because why wouldn't they infiltrate them with people who are ideologically opposed to us? It would be foolish for them not to do that." Carson said the U.S. should be compassionate, and support Syrian refugees to resettle in their region of origin. "But to bring them here under these circumstances is a suspension of intellect."

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) sounded skeptical of the notion that refugee applicants could be properly vetted. "That's one of the reasons why I said we won't be able to take more refugees - it's not that we don't want to; it's that we can't because there's no way to background check someone that's coming from Syria," he said on ABC's "This Week." Rubio said out of 1,000 refugees, 999 may be fleeing oppression and violence but one could be an Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) fighter. "If that's the case, you have a problem and there is no way to vet that out. There is no background check system in the world that allows us to find that out - because who do you call in Syria to background check them?"

For months, security experts have been voicing concern about the likelihood that terrorists from ISIS or other groups could pose as refugees heading for Western nations. Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said last September ISIS extremists may well be among the refugees and migrants flooding into Europe. Clapper said it was a "huge concern of ours" although he also said U.S. authorities have a "pretty aggressive" screening system in place for those seeking to enter the U.S.

The discovery of a Syrian passport near the remains of one of the suicide bombers who took part in Friday's attacks in the French capital has fueled fears about terrorists posing as refugees. A person using that passport entered Europe by landing on a Greek island less than a month ago, then traveled through Croatia before registering for asylum in Serbia, according to European authorities. (Read more)

- Father, we ask You to provide a place for those legitimately seeking refuge from war-torn regions of the world, that You would disrupt the plans of the enemy, and to give leaders and authorities around the world discernment to know the difference between the two. May they notice inconsistencies in the stories and circumstances of those who are not actually refugees.

- "And they took old sacks on their donkeys, old wineskins torn and mended, old and patched sandals on their feet" (Joshua 9:4-5)

5. House Republicans Call for Halt to Syrian-Refugee Program - National Review

As the aftershocks of Friday's terrorist attacks in Paris continue to reverberate, members of the House Armed Services Committee are paving a legislative path forward, grappling with provisions in the soon-to-be-signed National Defense Authorization Act, and with funding for the Department of Homeland Security in the upcoming budget. On Monday, in a letter to President Obama, Armed Services member Bradley Byrne (R., Ala.) underscored a chief aim of that developing agenda: halting the Syrian-refugee-resettlement program.

"It is now widely reported that at least one of the attackers responsible for the recent Paris terror attacks entered the country through the refugee process," Byrne wrote in the letter, obtained by National Review. "We have no greater responsibility as a federal government than to ensure the safety and security of the American people," Byrne concludes. "It is clearly in the best interest of the American people to halt the Syrian refugee resettlement program."

The letter comes as GOP lawmakers scramble to craft an agenda following the attacks, and sentiment grows among members that the refugee-resettlement program needs to end. Over the weekend, House majority leader Kevin McCarthy hosted "multiple conference calls" with GOP leadership on how to respond to the attacks, an aide tells National Review. These conversations centered on "providing support to our French and regional allies, as well as identifying steps the Congress can take to keep Americans safe from the threat posed by ISIS," the aide says.

As of now, House Republicans' most visible response has been to increase calls for a "moratorium" on the Syrian-refugee-resettlement program, says Armed Services senior member Walter Jones. "We need to stop and review where we're going. I know many of these refugees are good people, but we have an obligation to our own country." (Read more)

- Lord God, we offer You praise that the Congress is now actively moving to protect our people by denying entry to Syrian refugees at this time. We ask that this bill be passed in both chambers (House and Senate) with a veto- proof margin, that our people can live safely once again in our land. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen and amen.

- " . . . if two of you agree on earth about anything that they may ask, it shall be done for them by My Father who is in heaven." (Matthew 18:18)

6. Obama plan for Syrian refugees scrambled by state opposition - Fox News

The Paris terror attacks may have put a clamp on President Obama's plans to resettle 10,000 Syrian refugees over the next year, as the number of governors saying they won't take them swells. The resistance at the state level is coalescing at a rapid clip. So far, governors in at least 17 states have moved to suspend or restrict the refugee resettlement, including Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Mississippi, North Carolina, Ohio, Texas and Wisconsin.

"Given the tragic attacks in Paris and the threats we have already seen, Texas cannot participate in any program that will result in Syrian refugees -- any one of whom could be connected to terrorism -- being resettled in Texas," Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said in a letter to Obama.

Some of these states previously did not object to the refugee plan. But Friday night's terror attack in Paris, which left at least 129 people dead, fueled fears that Islamic State militants are moving into Europe as part of the wave of refugees escaping the civil war, and could eye America next. Authorities say a Syrian passport found near one jihadist's body had been registered last month and moved through three countries along a busy migrant corridor known for lax controls. (Read more)

- Father God, once again we praise You for the quick action being taken by the governors in the five states now named, forbidding refugees from Syria entrance to their state until further notice. Praise You, Lord, amen and amen!

- "Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord." (Psalm 150:6)

7. Former CIA Chief on Obama's Law Enforcement Approach to Fighting ISIS Terrorists: 'Ridiculous'- CNSNews.com

The former director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) said on Sunday that President Barack Obama's "law enforcement" approach to fighting the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is "ridiculous." "President Obama keeps referring to this in law enforcement terms," said James Woolsey, who served under President Bill Clinton "and frankly, I think that's ridiculous.

National Public Radio's Michel Martin asked Woolsey if the approach to defeating the Islamic terrorist group should be "army to army" rather than using the law enforcement approach favored by the Obama administration.

"These are not a bunch of bank robbers that we need to extradite to the United States," he said. "This is a major terrorist group that is growing in influence, has ambitions to become a state. "It's in the process of becoming a state, beheads people," Woolsey said. "This is just not a regular law enforcement problem by a long shot." (Read more)

- Father, may this situation and approach also in no way cede American sovereignty to international bodies of law. May you give wisdom to our lawmakers and policymakers as to your will for America's approach to and part in this crisis, and those seeking to manipulate it toward their own evil ends.

- "Seek the LORD while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near." (Isaiah 55:6)

8. Weapons stolen from Army Reserve in Massachusetts, FBI says - CBSNews.com

The FBI is investigating an overnight break-in at the Lincoln Army Reserve Center in Worcester, Massachusetts, reported CBS Boston. Officials confirmed Sunday afternoon that weapons are missing from the armory. It is unclear what weapons and how many were stolen.

CBS Boston reported the missing weapons were entered into a national database, and federal, state, and local law enforcement have been alerted, according to the agency.

Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker urged the public to remain vigilant in the wake of the terrorist attacks in Paris. "The more opportunity people have to rely on citizenry to serve as the eyes and ears, the more it makes a difference," Baker said. He added, "These sorts of things people are going to be chasing and investigating no matter what, and I think it's important for us to recognize that law enforcement will be collaborating, communicating, cooperating across all levels of government." (Read more)

- Lord God, Omniscient One, You know where these weapons are now located. We ask, by the quickening of the Holy Spirit, that You would reveal clues to the FBI agents who are working on this case, that would lead to the seizure of these weapons and the arrest of those who stole them. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen and amen.

- "For nothing is hidden, except to be revealed; nor has anything been secret, but that it would come to light." (Mark 4:22)

9. Aircraft carrier U.S.S. Harry S. Truman headed to fight Islamic State - Washington Post

The U.S.S. Harry S. Truman, a Nimitz Class aircraft carrier, departed from Norfolk Monday and is now steaming towards the Middle East to support combat operations against the Islamic State, according to a Navy Times report.

The Truman, along with accompanying ships and submarines-known as a Carrier Strike Group-will arrive in the coming weeks for a seven-month deployment. The deployment was scheduled prior to the Paris terrorist attacks that killed more than 120 people. According to the Navy Times report, there has been no changes in the strike group's deployment plans.

The more than 1,000ft long aircraft carrier boasts a full compliment of carrier-based aircraft that are a part of Carrier Air Wing Seven. The wing includes a number of subordinate squadrons that fly aircraft such as the F/A-18 multi-role fighter, the Seahawk helicopter, and the Airborne Warning & Control System capable E2 Hawkeye. (Read more)

- Lord God, we ask for Your Hand of protection to rest upon the men and women in uniform who are serving on the U.S.S. Harry S. Truman, as they head into these dangerous waters. Let them sense and know Your presence with them as they work to confront and take down this enemy, ISIS. We ask this in Your Name, amen.

- "My angel will go ahead of you and bring you into the land of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites and Jebusites, and I will wipe them out." (Exodus 23:23 NIV)

10. Obama Readies Biggest Reach of Presidential Power Yet - Financial Times

With only 14 months left in office, President Obama is set to issue an executive order in what could be the most aggressive use of his authority to date: unilaterally closing the federal detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

"At this point, I would not take anything off the table in terms of the president doing everything that he can to achieve this critically important national security objective," White House press secretary Josh Earnest told reporters earlier this month during a briefing. The administration is likely to submit a plan for how it would shutter the controversial site to Congress in the next few weeks, if not days. There are still 112 detainees at Guantanamo, of whom 53 have been deemed eligible for transfer. (Read more)

- Father, we ask that options on the table would only include those that are within the bounds of the Constitution of the United States and the law. We ask for integrity in those White House deliberations, so that even if no one outside the White House sees how decisions were made, that they would nonetheless bring you honor and glory.

-"Many seek the ruler's favor, But justice for man comes from the LORD." (Proverbs 29:26)

Trojan Horse Terrorism and Treason

With the assistance of the politically correct and the cunning leaders of the West, Islam is on the verge of accomplishing in half a dozen years what the Ottoman Empire could not do in 600 years--conquer Europe. And thanks to a Marxist Islamic "president," Islam is getting a bonus run on the United States. Since Arab Spring began in 2010, the US "president" has worked with the Muslim Brotherhood and its military arm, al Qaeda, to overthrow governments across the Middle East and Northern Africa. In the process, the Islamic State was born and the Middle East became a cauldron of death, leaving millions of "refugees" the UN has decided to resettle across Europe and the US. Among them are Trojan Horse terrorists.

Case in point, all the heartstring liberals fall into the hands of the cunning by wanting to give these poor "refugees" a place to live. So they take a few, then suddenly they are streaming across the borders by the thousands. It's an invading force and Islam knows very well the theory of strength in numbers. A few can then organize and start bringing the rest of the host nation into submission. It starts with religious freedom--building mosques and Islamic Centers. These are the places of operations, education, propaganda and planning. Their cult is disguised as a religion as they "worship" this false god called allah who directs them to torture and kill anyone who does not submit. They even convince many that allah and God are the same.

The survival of the Western world, democracy, and all freedom is at stake just as it was during the Crusades when Europeans had to defend their land and drive back the Islamic Caliphate, the Ottoman Empire. In the US, we have a "president" who is pushing hard to bring in tens of thousands of Islamic "refugees." For the very survival of our nation, this must be stopped. As in Jeremiah 51:14, "Surely I will fill thee with men, as with locusts, and they shall raise a battle cry against you." The Lord was speaking judgment to Babylon for its harsh persecution of God's people, but there is a natural principle here--that there are consequences for not following the Lord in his wisdom.

There is plenty of land and plenty of money in the oil-rich Middle Eastern nations. "Refugees" do not have to be resettled in Europe and the US. Just like the situations with the "Palestinians." The Islamists hold over 250 times the land mass of Israel, yet they demand that "Palestinians" be resettled in Israel, they demand a state within Israel. Do you see a pattern here? This is not about poor refugees who have no place to go. It is about conquering and submission--what France is learning all too well. And what America is about to learn if it doesn't put a stop to and even reverse the flow of Islamic "refugees" into the nation. This invasion, politically called immigration, is the biggest threat to your personal safety of our age. It is the Trojan Horse of Terrorism. Leaders who support it are treasonous as Islam is indeed at war with the world.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

No Passport for Terror

No Passport for Terror

Language is not a barrier in communicating the international outrage over the multiple terror attacks on innocent civilians in Paris on Friday. As French citizens mourned the deaths of over 130 people, leaders of other nations began rethinking their policies regarding refugees and how to deal with their own citizens who have traveled to fight alongside of ISIS. At least two of the suspected terrorists in Friday's attack had fought and trained with ISIS terrorists in Syria. As this information comes to light, Americans are rightfully asking what steps leaders in Congress are taking to ensure Americans' safety, since the policies of the Obama administration are escalating the risk.

One possibility is passing a bill Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) introduced in January, S. 247, the Expatriate Terrorist, Act, which would strip Americans of their citizenship, and the rights associated therewith, if they -- like some of the Paris terrorists -- voluntarily travel to foreign countries to train with terror groups, formally declare allegiance to a foreign terrorist organization, serve in the military of a foreign country hostile to the United States of America, renounce their United States citizenship, or commit treason against the United States. The bill also clarifies the situations in which a passport shall be denied a person associated with terrorist organizations. Congressman Steve King (R-Iowa) introduced a companion bill with identical language in the House of Representatives, H.R. 503, in February, and both sit with few co-sponsors, awaiting congressional action.
In light of the recent terror attacks in Paris and the constant threats ISIS poses against freedom everywhere, it is important Congress take steps to ensure the safety of Americans. Americans should not have the freedom and authority to travel on an American passport to foreign nations, to train with foreign terrorist organizations, only to return to the United States to use what they learned abroad to target Americans on our own soil. Clueless Before, After And Now

Clueless Before, After And Now

On Thursday, President Obama said this about ISIS: "We have contained them. I don't think they're gaining strength." Twenty-four hours later, ISIS massacred and wounded hundreds of people in Paris.

At 5:45 ET Friday evening, Obama took to the airwaves again and said this about the supposedly contained ISIS: "This is an attack not just on Paris, it's an attack not just on the people of France, but this is an attack on all of humanity and the universal values that we share."

He was fundamentally wrong again. The world does not share values. When Americans mourned the September 11th attacks, Palestinians danced in the streets and gave their children candy in celebration. Millions of people across the globe want the United States, Israel, Europe and our allies destroyed.

The Paris attack was not an attack on universal values. It was an attack on the values of Western Civilization.

The Islamist attackers and the millions of people who support them have their own set of beliefs -- beliefs they intend to impose on us through any means necessary because Allah commands it.

As columnist Mark Steyn put it: "There is a large pool of people who, they don't want to kill people, they don't want to bomb people, they don't want to blow people up. But they provide a comfort zone within which this virus [radical Islam] incubates."

We don't have to guess at what their triumph would look like. Nor do we have to guess about what would happen to women, religious minorities, freedom of speech, freedom of dissent and the values we cherish.

Our enemy knows what it wants and it is sure of its cause. Too many of our leaders are unable or unwilling to do what must be done to defeat that enemy.

Consider this: The disgusting attack on French civilians will likely strengthen ISIS and draw more recruits to its ranks. "American blood is best and we will taste it soon," said one of the main ISIS web sites today as it promised an attack on Washington, D.C. The Islamists mean it. (Gary Bauer)

Swedish Midwife Refuses to Perform Abortions, Made into Example
to Force Christians Into Silence on Religious Freedoms

Sweden is supposed to be a country that respects freedom of religion. Freedom of religion is even written into their federal constitution. But this fact about the country's federal law doesn't seem to matter to at least three medical facilities and the Swedish court in connection to a Swedish midwife named Ellinor Grimmark.

The newly graduated midwife was told by three different facilities that if she did not agree to perform abortions, that she would not be able to obtain or retain employment with those facilities. It didn't matter that the country is experiencing a shortage of midwives, nor did it matter that Grimmark had agreed to even work double shifts when these facilities needed it. . .
When Grimmark took the religious discrimination to court, the Swedish court actually ruled against the country's own Constitution in connection to each of the three medical facilities and Grimmark's religious freedom. She had to move out of the country in order for her religious convictions to be respected if she wanted to work in her profession, so she now works and lives in Norway. Songs Our Grandmothers Sang:

In Chicago land we must take our stand

" . . . Nothing is too difficult for Thee . . . (Jer. 32:17)

Lyrics

In Chicago land we must take our stand To meet Thy demand in these days. Lord, Thy purpose great doth our heart elate, As Thy name we now exalt and praise.

Purpose, purpose, Thine eternal purpose; Show forth Christ and shame the enemy; Purpose, purpose, Thine eternal purpose In Chicago realized must be.

All things we forsake for Thy Body's sake, Soul-life for us break in Thy way. We've been wrecked by Thee, since Thy plan we see; On Thine altar everything we lay.

Break us! Break us! For Thy purpose break us. Grant our spirits, Lord, a full release; Break us! Break us! For Thy purpose break us; In Chicago, Jesus must increase.

With this vision clear and Thy presence dear, Our hearts have no fear-forth we go. Lord, Thy heart's desire has set us afire; To Thy chosen ones this vision show:

Lampstand, lampstand, see the golden lampstand, Shining with the glory of the Lord. Lampstand, lampstand, see the golden lampstand, In Chicago, Jesus Christ is Lord.

Leonid meteors pepper our autumnal skies Tuesday into Wednesday

Darting through the heavens, tiny zips of light punctuate our crisp, autumnal night sky, as the Leonid meteor shower is expected to peak Tuesday night (Nov. 17) into Wednesday morning. The forecast aims for about 15 meteors an hour during the peak, according to the American Meteor Society and the International Meteor Organization.

To help us see those shooting stars, the young crescent moon ducks out of the way, setting at about 10:25 p.m. Tuesday night. This gives diligent sky gazers - those armed with hot cocoa or decaf - a better chance to see the lovely Leonids from about 11 p.m. on Tuesday to the early morning hours on Wednesday. Provided that pesky clouds don't obscure the evening heavens, gazers could catch a few meteors at the peak and aside from the usual metro area light pollution, the setting moon gives us a relatively good chance to enjoy the shower. Billy Graham Rapid Response Sends French-Speaking Chaplains to Paris:

God Has Not Forgotten You!

(Paris, France)-[BGEA] In the wake of the horrific terrorist attacks that shocked Paris Friday night, a team of chaplains from the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team is headed to France's capital city to offer emotional and spiritual care.

At the direction of BGEA president Franklin Graham, an international consortium of BGEA's U.S., Canada and U.K. Rapid Response Teams has coordinated together to send six French-speaking, crisis-trained chaplains to offer a ministry of presence in the heart of Paris.

"Join me in praying for the French people," Franklin Graham said, "all those injured and the loved ones of the victims of these barbaric attacks."

"It's the worst tragedy since World War II, I heard reported on TV," said Jack Munday, international director of the Billy Graham Rapid Response Team. "We want to encourage them, let them know we're here to support them."

The chaplains-who will be working directly with a church in Paris, as well as up to three other Christian organizations-are scheduled to arrive on Monday morning. This will be the first BGEA internationally coordinated relief effort since the 2010 Haiti earthquake. (Breaking Christian News) Read more.
