1. Israel and South Korea to conduct free trade talks - JNS.org

Israel and South Korea on Tuesday announced that they will hold free trade negotiations in Seoul two months from now.

"A free trade agreement between Israel and South Korea will be a significant milestone in trade relations between the two countries and carry significant economic potential for them, as well as economic relations between Israel and Asian countries in general," Israeli Economy Ministry Director-General Ami Lang said.

The decision resulted from a meeting in Jerusalem on Monday between Lang and South Korean Deputy Trade Minister Tae Hee Woo, in which they discussed expanding bilateral trade and investment as well as cooperating in the technological, agricultural, and industrial sectors. (Read more)

2. London's Heathrow Airport considers Israeli security measures - JNS.org

Due to increased warnings of potential Islamic State terror attacks in Europe, officials at London's Heathrow Airport are considering implementing more stringent security protocols similar to those employed at Israel's Ben Gurion Airport.

The proposed protocols include the so-called "ring of steel" initiative, in which undercover security personnel are scattered throughout the airport and are reinforced by custodial and maintenance staffers. Heathrow would also implement increased screening of baggage handlers, the British newspaper The Times reported Sunday.

According to The Times, a senior Israeli intelligence official warned that European airports are strong targets for terror attacks, and that Islamic State may conduct more attacks like March's Brussels airport bombing and last year's bombing of a Russian plane in Egypt. Additionally, a former McDonald's employee who was trained by al-Qaeda was revealed to have been planning a suicide attack against Israeli and American passengers at Heathrow. (Read more)

3. Northern Israelis fear Lebanese border watchtowers could be manned by Hezbollah - JNS.org

Residents of northern Israel have expressed concern over watchtowers they say have appeared on the Israeli-Lebanese border in recent days. The watchtowers are situated inside Lebanese territory, near the border fence. Locals fear that although the watchtowers were built by the Lebanese military, they could be manned by Hezbollah terrorists in future conflicts.

Nine such watchtowers have been spotted so far, in an area stretching from Rosh Hanikra to Moshav Zarit. According to Israeli defense officials, these are ordinary watchtowers, similar to those along the Israeli-Jordanian border. But residents fear Hezbollah will take over the positions, enabling fighters to observe military forces in Israeli territory or even shoot into Israeli border communities.

"This is a warning sign," Kobi Cohen, a resident of Moshav Zarit, told the Walla news website. "There is only one group that could have put up these watchtowers, and that's Hezbollah." (Read more)

4. Coalition deal reached in overnight negotiations, signing expected today (Published on Wed., May 25, 2016) - Jerusalem Post

Representatives of the Likud, Yisrael Beytenu and the Finance Ministry reached an agreement overnight that will enable a signing ceremony on a new coalition deal that was expected to take place on Wednesday morning. The deal includes an allocation of nearly NIS 1.5 billion for pensions for disadvantaged retirees.

The head of the Yisrael Beytenu negotiating team, Jerusalem city councilman Moshe Lion said on Tuesday that a signing "is a possibility."

The head of the Likud negotiating team Tourism Minister Yariv Levin said "over the course of the night we succeeded in reaching the final agreements on issues that remained in dispute between Yisrael Beytenu and the Finance Ministry. This agreement will better the lives of all Israeli citizens, and I welcome that."

"Widening the government by adding Yisael Beytenu to a nationalist coalition is an important step that was necessary to guarantee the civility of the coalition and to continue work of the government according to its policies," he added. (Read more)

5. Netanyahu's US-born chief of staff appointed Cabinet secretary - Israel National News

David Sharan, Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's U.S.-born chief of staff, will be the Israeli Cabinet's next secretary.

The appointment was announced Monday, according to Israeli media reports. Sharan will manage the work of the 20-member Cabinet, which includes ministers from Israel's soon-to-be six coalition parties and which votes on government policy. Sharan will also coordinate the work of the smaller security Cabinet, which deals with matters of war and peace.

He will replace Avichai Mandelblit, whose term ended in January. Sharan, who graduated from high school in Los Angeles, according to The Times of Israel, was previously chief of staff to Yuval Steinitz, a Likud minister and confidant of Netanyahu.

In April, Netanyahu tapped Sharan to run reopened negotiations on an agreement to expand the non-Orthodox prayer plaza at the Western Wall. Mandelblit had led the negotiations that led to the agreement, which was approved by the Cabinet on Jan. 31. Netanyahu reopened the deal for talks following protests by his haredi Orthodox coalition partners, who object to non-Orthodox prayer at the site.

1. BREAKING: Evidence shows prosecutor 'colluding' with Planned Parenthood on Daleiden indictment - LifeSiteNews

In explosive new court filings the attorney for Planned Parenthood admits that he secretly received a videotape from the Houston prosecutor's office, and says the grand jury never even voted on whether to indict Planned Parenthood for selling aborted human beings' body parts. Furthermore, the district attorney admits her office violated the law in its handling of the indictment of pro-life investigator David Daleiden - but dismisses the infraction as "minor and harmless." (Read more)

- Father, we rebuke this despicable collusion, and ask for justice in this case. We pray for the lives of the unborn in our nation and ask You to rise up and cause Your people to stand against abortion in a mighty new way. In Your name, amen.

- "Arise, shine, for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people, but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory shall be seen upon you." (Isaiah 60:1)

2. Ryan Says House Republicans Aim to End 'Executive Overreach' - CNSNews.com

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) unveiled what he called the Republicans' "policy agenda" for 2017 on Wednesday, including a plan to regain the legislative power granted to Congress in Article One of the U.S. Constitution.

"Article One," Ryan said at a pen and pad briefing with reporters at the Capitol, "this is something that our members are very animated about because this has gotten out of control. This is about the separation of powers, about the Constitution, and wresting control away from decades of executive overreach and giving it back to Congress," he said. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that You will find a way to bring the separation of powers back to its original intent, and stop the Presidential overreach. Let Your power be manifest in opposition to the President's "pen and phone." In Your name, amen.

- "Behold, I will make you into a new threshing sledge with sharp teeth . . .you shall rejoice n the Lord, and glory in the Holy One of Israel." (Isaiah 41:15a,16b)

3. South Carolina Governor signs 20-week abortion ban - CNSNews.com

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Republican Gov. Nikki Haley signed legislation Wednesday that immediately outlaws most abortions in South Carolina at 20 weeks beyond fertilization. The only exceptions are if the mother's life is in jeopardy or a doctor determines the fetus can't survive outside the womb. Doctors face up to $10,000 in fines and 3 years in prison for each violation; prison time is mandatory on a third conviction.

These bans are now in effect in at least 13 states and blocked by court challenges in several others. South Dakota's ban takes effect July 1. (Read more)

- Lord we praise You for this legislation, and ask that You protect it from being chipped away by the abortion activists. In Your name, amen.

- "For You are great, and do wondrous things. You alone are God." (Psalm 86:10)

4. Susan Rice: Too Many Whites on National Security Team Putting America at Risk - Fox Nation

National Security Advisor Susan Rice told graduates at Florida International University that the presence of too many "white, male, and Yale" staffers is posing a threat to the security of America. "Too often, our national security workforce has been what former Florida Senator Bob Graham called 'white, male, and Yale,'" Rice stated. "In the halls of power, in the faces of our national security leaders, America is still not fully reflected."

Rice, like her liberal cohorts, want to force the government and companies to hire the same demographic percentages that are represented in their various communities. But it's not just for the sake of diversity; lives are at stake, the warning goes. "I'm not talking about a human resources issue," she stressed. "I'm highlighting a national security imperative." (Read more)

- Father this administration has become openly racist. We pray that you will delete her words from the atmosphere, break down the thoughts behind them, and protect Your people of all races and colors from this insidious agenda. In Your name, amen.

- "The Lord has made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations; and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of the Lord." (Isaiah 52:10)

5. Pro-Gay Group: Vulnerable Children Being 'Recruited' to Believe They Are Transgender - Christian Post

Youth Trans Critical Professionals, a group of "psychologists, social workers, doctors, medical ethicists, and academics" who identify as "pro-gay-rights" and "left-leaning," say vulnerable children are being recruited online to believe they are transgender and mental health professionals are affirming the belief of these victims.

"We are alarmed by the trend among mental health professionals to affirm a young person's self-diagnosis as transgender with minimal exploration. In many cases, these young people come to identify as trans after binges on social media sites such as tumblr, reddit, or YouTube. There is evidence that vulnerable young people are being actively recruited and coached on such sites to believe that they are trans," said the group on their website.

"In many cases, these young people may be suffering from mental health problems such as anxiety or depression that leave them easy prey to the cult-like tactics of these online trans activists," said the group of professionals.(Read more)

- Lord, this grieves all parents who love You. We bind up this lie and in the Mighty Name of Jesus, we place it under our feet, and ask You to destroy the works of the enemy. In Your name, amen.

- "Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you." (Luke 10:19)

6. AP: Intruders breach US airport fences about every 10 days - Fox News

Under pressure to prevent people from sneaking onto runways and planes at major U.S. airports, authorities are cracking down - not on the intruders who slip through perimeter gates or jump over fences, but on the release of information about the breaches.

A year after an Associated Press investigation first revealed persistent problems with airports' outer defenses, breaches remain as frequent as ever - occurring about once every 10 days - despite some investments to fortify the nation's airfields.

As Americans focus on the wait in ever-longer security screening lines inside terminals, new documents show dozens more incidents happening outside perimeters than airports have disclosed. (Read more)

- Lord we once again pray Your protection over America as our security systems fail continually. We pray for vigilance and wisdom for all who watch over our airports. In Your name, amen.

- "Bless the Lord, o my soul; And all that is within me bless His holy name . . . who redeems your life from destruction." (Psalm 103:4a)

7. Trump reaches delegate number to clinch GOP nomination - Fox News

Donald Trump on Thursday reached the number of delegates needed to clinch the Republican nomination for president, completing an unlikely rise that has upended the political landscape and sets the stage for a bitter fall campaign.

Trump was put over the top in the Associated Press delegate count by a small number of the party's unbound delegates who told the AP they would support him at the convention. Among them is Oklahoma GOP chairwoman Pam Pollard.

"I think he has touched a part of our electorate that doesn't like where our country is," Pollard said. "I have no problem supporting Mr. Trump." (Read more)

- Father, [for some of us . . . ], we can cry over spilled milk, complain and whine, or we can unify and stand firm against Hillary Clinton. As you used Cyrus to save Israel, we pray for Mr. Trump's heart, we ask for You to guide him (he claims to be Presbyterian). We pray for mercy, Father, mercy over America and cry out for You to save our nation and restore what has been stolen. In Your name, amen.

- "And they shall rebuild the old ruins, they shall raise up former desolations, and they shall repair the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations"( Isaiah 61:4)

8. LGBT fight dooms spending bill on House floor - The Hill

An energy and water spending bill failed on the House floor on Thursday after a Democratic amendment ensuring protections for the LGBT community was included.

Members on Wednesday night adopted a Democratic amendment to the 2017 energy and water spending bill to enforce a 2014 executive order prohibiting federal contractors from discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.

The bill's failure Thursday marks the second time in two weeks lawmakers waged very public fights over LGBT policies on the House floor. (Read more)

- Father God, we thank You for the courage of the members of Congress, who had to move sacrificially last night to block this LGBT amendment from being included in the original bill. We ask You to yet restore the funding for this energy and water spending bill, without any almost hidden agenda being attached to it. In Your name, amen.

- "And all things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." (Matthew 21:22)

9. Obama's talk on nukes at Hiroshima - CBS News

There is the soaring rhetoric. And then there's the messy reality.

When President Obama and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe make an historic visit to Hiroshima on Friday -- the first time a sitting U.S. president has visited the site of the first atomic bomb attack -- their words advocating nuclear disarmament will clash with real-world security necessities.

Far from backing up the vision of a world without nuclear bombs that Obama laid out in a 2009 speech that helped secure a Nobel Peace Prize, his near-finished presidency has seen a multibillion-dollar modernization of the U.S. nuclear force. (Read more)

- Father, we ask for Your wisdom in all matters related to the use of nuclear weapons by our nation. In Your name, amen.

- "I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you." (Psalm 32:8)

10. China reportedly will send nuclear-armed submarines to patrol Pacific - Fox News

The Chinese military reportedly is planning to send submarines armed with nuclear weapons to patrol the Pacific Ocean for the first time amid territorial disputes over islands in the region. The Guardian, citing Chinese military officials, said that while the timing for a maiden patrol has not yet been determined, Beijing insists that such an action is inevitable.

The report comes days after U.S. President Barack Obama announced that he had lifted a decades-long arms embargo against Vietnam. Chinese officials publicly praised the move, but an opinion piece in a state-run newspaper warned that any attempt to enlist Vietnam in an effort to contain China "bodes ill for regional peace and stability, as it would further complicate the situation in the South China Sea, and risk turning the region into a tinderbox of conflicts." (Read more)

- Father, we declare Your protection over all nations in this region, and especially over American vessels and interests. We ask that all plans of China to harm us be destroyed. In Your name, amen.

- "Only with your eyes shall you look, and see the reward of the wicked." (Psalm 91: 8)

State Dept IG Report shows Clinton willfully broke the law

The State Department's Inspector General has issued a scathing 83-page report implicating Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton for repeatedly violating policy and laws prohibiting using her personal email for official business. The liberal Washington Post has written an editorial declaring that Hillary Clinton committed an "error in judgment" in willfully disregarding State Department policies, but stopped short of pronouncing her actions illegal, urging instead that the FBI finish its investigation promptly, "so that all information about this troubling episode will be before the voters." This is more than a "troubling episode." Clinton willfully exposed state secrets to America's enemies.

Clinton was warned repeatedly of policy against using personal email servers for State Department business. She was warned directly that spies were targeting her email account. In 2011, her email was attacked twice in the same day. Despite these continuous warnings, and the development of a new State Department email system designed to protect her account, Clinton refused to comply with policy and opted to not use the new email system. The report stated that after a staff member "raised concerns" with a State Department official about Clinton's use of a personal email server, the entire staff was instructed "never to speak of the Secretary's personal email system again."

Clinton sent a June 28, 2011 cable under her signature to all diplomatic and consular posts where she warned that all officials should "avoid conducting official Department business from your personal e-mail accounts." Yet, she, herself, and her staff, continued to conduct official State business on personal email servers. The report also said that Clinton and her aides, including Huma Abedin, refused to cooperate with investigators, and even lied about the extensive use of their personal email accounts for State Department business, saying there was only occasional use despite evidence of tens of thousands of emails passing through personal accounts and mobile devices that did not meet security standards.

The report states, "Secretary Clinton never demonstrated to them [Federal Agencies] that her private server or mobile device met minimum information security requirements..." In addition, the report implies she broke the law because she "did not comply with the Department's policies that were implemented in accordance with the Federal Records Act." Clinton and her staff willfully exposed our nation's secrets to our enemies and their spies, then refused to cooperate with and lied to investigators. She is unfit to hold any elected office based on this information. 2 Timothy 3:13 says, "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived." This is a clear example of intent to deceive.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

FRC Announcement

Family Research Council Statement on House Adoption of the Maloney and Byrne Amendments

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, Congressman Sean Maloney (D-NY) offered an amendment that would use the Energy and Water Appropriations Act, 2017, as a vehicle to elevate sexual orientation and gender identity over faith-based hiring protections that were recently included in the House-passed National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017. The Maloney amendment passed tonight by a vote of 223 to 195.

Family Research Council opposed and scored the amendment because it authorizes the government to punish faith-based organizations and entities that operate consistent with their deeply held beliefs. The House also passed the Byrne Amendment by a vote of 233 to 186 to maintain support for the bipartisan Religious Freedom Protection Act and add religious liberty hiring protections for government contractors.

Family Research Council President Tony Perkins released the following statement:

"The adoption of Rep. Sean Maloney's unfair and discriminatory amendment is deeply troubling. However, the passage of Rep. Bradley Byrne's amendment is essential to continue to safeguard religious liberty protections for contractors.

"Congress should not allow the government to punish faith-based contractors, like the Salvation Army, that work and hire in accordance with their First Amendment freedoms. By itself, the administration could use Maloney's elevation of sexual orientation and gender identity for government contractors to gut long held religious freedom protections. This in turn, would strip faith-based contractors of contracts and result in job cuts and loss of services to those in need.

"While we oppose the Maloney provision, we applaud the passage of the Byrne provision to ensure Congress will continue to provide protections for the thousands of faith-based organizations and family-owned businesses that contract with the federal government to offer amazing services to many American communities," Perkins concluded.

Press Release from Rep. J. Randy Forbes

Forbes Applauds House Judiciary Committee Passage of The Visa Integrity & Security Act of 2016

Washington, D.C. - Today, the House Judiciary Committee approved H.R. 5203, the Visa Integrity & Security Act of 2016 (VISA Act).

The VISA Act, authored by Congressman Randy Forbes, would strengthen the United States' visa screening process to combat immigration fraud, utilize social media to detect threat indicators, and better identify terrorists who may be plotting attacks such as the one that occurred in San Bernardino, California last December.

"Over 10 million immigrant and non-immigrant visas were issued in Fiscal Year 2015 alone. In the hands of terrorists, these visas become weapons," said Congressman Forbes. "That is why it is crucial that Congress act immediately to strengthen our visa security vetting process, help prevent efforts to manipulate our immigration system, and protect national security. I applaud the House Judiciary Committee for moving swiftly to pass this critical legislation and urge its timely consideration on the House floor."

"Terrorists have made it clear that they will exploit our nation's immigration system to harm Americans and our interests," House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte said. "Visa security is critical to national security and we must address gaping holes in our immigration system that allow those who wish Americans harm and fraudsters to game the system.

"The Visa Integrity and Security Act takes a number of steps to strengthen visa security, curb fraud, and enhance the integrity of our nation's immigration system. Notably, it expands a critical visa vetting program to ensure all visa applicants receive additional screening and requires the government to examine publicly available Internet postings to determine if a visa applicant is a security threat. I thank Congressman Randy Forbes for his work on this bill and urge House Leadership to bring this bill swiftly to the floor."

Songs Our Grandmothers Sang:

HAIL THE DAY THAT SEES HIM RISE

"After the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was taken up into heaven, and He sat at the right hand of God." (Mark 16:19)

Lyrics

Hail the day that sees Him rise, Alleluia! To His throne above the skies, Alleluia! Christ, awhile to mortals given, Alleluia! Reascends His native heaven, Alleluia!

There the glorious triumph waits, Alleluia! Lift your heads, eternal gates, Alleluia! Christ hath conquered death and sin, Alleluia! Take the King of glory in, Alleluia!

Circled round with angel powers, Alleluia! Their triumphant Lord, and ours, Alleluia! Conqueror over death and sin, Alleluia! "Take the King of glory in! Alleluia!"

Him though highest Heav'n receives, Alleluia! Still He loves the earth He leaves, Alleluia! Though returning to His throne, Alleluia! Still He calls mankind His own, Alleluia!

See! He lifts His hands above, Alleluia! See! He shows the prints of love, Alleluia! Hark! His gracious lips bestow, Alleluia! Blessings on His church below, Alleluia!

Still for us His death He pleads, Alleluia! Prevalent He intercedes, Alleluia! Near Himself prepares our place, Alleluia! Harbinger of human race, Alleluia!

Master, (will we ever say), Alleluia! Taken from our head to day, Alleluia! See Thy faithful servants, see, Alleluia! Ever gazing up to Thee, Alleluia!

Grant, though parted from our sight, Alleluia! Far above yon azure height, Alleluia! Grant our hearts may thither rise, Alleluia! Seeking Thee beyond the skies, Alleluia!

Ever upward let us move, Alleluia! Wafted on the wings of love, Alleluia! Looking when our Lord shall come, Alleluia! Longing, gasping after home, Alleluia!

There we shall with Thee remain, Alleluia! Partners of Thy endless reign, Alleluia! There Thy face unclouded see, Alleluia! Find our heaven of heavens in Thee, Alleluia!

How a Tennessee Church Stepped in to Help Find and Rescue a Kidnapped Little Girl

Tennessee)-[CBN News] The nation was horrified earlier this month to learn that Carlie Trent, an innocent, 9-year-old girl from Rogersville, Tennessee, had been kidnapped by her uncle, and the pair was missing. Surveillance video from a Wal-Mart store showed the uncle purchasing camping equipment as well as items presumably for Carlie, such as underwear, a bikini, and nail polish, shortly before he took the girl out of school under false pretenses.

Usually cases such as this do not end well. However, in this instance, young Carlie was rescued and the uncle was arrested.

Finding Carlie was no easy task, but it was made possible by a community coming together, including, in large part, the church. (Breaking Christian News) Read more here.
