1. Erekat blasts Rivlin for visiting 'illegal settlements'- Israel National News

Saeb Erekat, the Secretary-General of the Palestine Liberation Organization's (PLO) Executive Committee, on Tuesday blasted President Reuven Rivlin over what he termed his "visit to the Israeli settlements".

He was referring to Rivlin's tour on Monday of the Binyamin region of Samaria, as a guest of Yesha Council leader Avi Roeh. The Yesha Council represents the Jewish communities of Judea and Samaria.

Erekat told the Palestinian Authority's (PA) WAFA news agency that Rivilin's visit to "the illegal settlements of Benyamin" demonstrates Israel's support for "apartheid and the violation of international covenants."

He further claimed the visit "demonstrates the Israeli approach and its insistence on the apartheid model and refusal to abide by international covenants."

2. Minister: Empty West Bank Area C of Palestinians, annex it - Times of Israel

MOSCOW - Israeli minister Uri Ariel proposed removing "a few thousand Arabs" from Area C of the West Bank -- the 60% of the territory fully controlled by Israel - and then annexing it.

In an interview with The Times of Israel on Tuesday, Ariel (Jewish Home), the agriculture minister, also said the Israeli right is unconcerned over recent peace overtures by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu since they will eventually come to nothing. Nonetheless, Ariel, who opposes Palestinian statehood, complained that by invoking a desire for a two-state solution, Netanyahu is fueling the notion held by many Israelis that the creation of a Palestinian state is inevitable.

Rather than Palestinian statehood, Ariel urged the annexation of Area C and said NIS 10 billion (some $2.6 billion) should be poured into the other Palestinian areas to drastically improve the local population's quality of life.

3. Syria reports first IAF attack since Lieberman became defense minister - YNET News

The Syrian website 'Zaman Al Wasl,' which identifies with the opposition forces, quoted a military official from the Syrian regime who claimed that the Israel Air Force had carried out an airstrike against military targets close to a village 13 kilometers north of Homs.

According to the claims, the attack took place two days ago after midnight during which the IAF took out Hezbollah weapons caches in areas also containing antennas for Syrian radar systems, in addition to an air defense battalion that secures the area. The same official also claimed that the attack only inflicted damage on the caches and not on the other facilities. He said that explosions could be heard and that the fire could be seen from afar. The Syrian report further stated that in March 2015, the same stockpiles were attacked by Israel.

The Daily Brief

Please note: every prayer below is presented to our Lord in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.

1. US condemns 'cowardly' and 'horrific' terrorist attack in Tel Aviv - Jerusalem Post

The United States condemned an attack on a popular Tel Aviv market on Wednesday night as a "cowardly" and "horrific" act of terror. A statement issued by the State Department said that US officials are in touch with Israeli authorities to express "support and concern."

"The United States condemns today's horrific terrorist attack in Tel Aviv in the strongest possible terms," the statement reads. "We extend our deepest condolences to the families of those killed and our hopes for a quick recovery for those wounded. These cowardly attacks against innocent civilians can never be justified." (Read more)

- Father God, we too condemn this abhorrent attack that hit Tel Aviv last night. Lord God, please comfort those who mourn and bring Your healing touch to those who have been wounded. Thank You, Lord, that as we intercede, all the facts of this matter will be made known, amen.

- "In my distress I called upon the Lord, And cried to my God for help; He heard my voice out of His temple, And my cry for help before Him came into His ears."
(Psalm 18:6)

2. Obama says he's not to blame for transgender bathroom issue - Washington Times

President Obama downplayed his role in the transgender bathroom controversy Wednesday, saying he hasn't pushed the issue in his administration and he believes there are "more pressing" problems in the country.

"Somehow people think that I made it an issue. I didn't make it an issue," Mr. Obama said at a town-hall-style event in Elkhart, Indiana. (Read more)

- Lord, somehow, this man never admits a mistake, nor acknowledges sin in his life. We ask that a spirit of repentance fall upon him.

- " . . . in humility correcting those who are in opposition, if God perhaps wil grant them repentance, so that they may know the truth." (2 Timothy 2:25)

3. Target shares plunge as sales fall, outlook spooks Street - USA Today

However, the bill's message clearly states that any information distributed to the public "shall clearly and consistently teach that abortion kills a living human being."

The bill also states that information should be available for prenatal health care, but "no program or state employee may refer any student to a medical facility or any provider for the performance of an abortion." It also says that the program should include "no component of human sexuality education other than those included in science education standards." (Read more)

> > > See also: "Target shareholders confront CEO on transgender bathrooms" - WND ( Read here.)

- Father, we thank You that this has happened in light of Target's transgender bathroom policy. We ask the You wake up not just this corporation, but all corporations that have bought into this sin.

- "For God will bring every work into judgment, including every secret thing, whether it is good or whether it is evil." (Eccl 12:14)

4. Gov. Fallin signs 'Humanity of the Unborn Child Act' into law - Oklahoma local KFOR

The act, authored by Republican Rep. Ann Coody, authorizes the health department to develop a public information campaign about the developmental stages of a fetus and alternatives to abortion. It also authorizes an optional instructional program for students.

A previous version of the bill that required Oklahoma's public schools to teach that life begins at conception was amended in the Senate.

- Father we rejoice that this bill has been passed in Oklahoma. We ask that You preserve it through the inevitable court challenges, and reveal Your truth.

- "The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together."
(Isaiah 40:5)

5. Huffington Post writer calls violence 'logical' response to Trump - Fox News

A writer for the Huffington Post is defending his recent op-ed that "a violent response" is the "logical" approach to stopping presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump.

Jesse Benn wrote in the op-ed titled "Sorry Liberals, A Violent Response To Trump Is As Logical As Any," posted on Monday, "[T]here's an inherent value in forestalling Trump's normalization. Violent resistance accomplishes this."

"These denunciations of violence from anti-Trump protestors rest on the misguided view that the divide Trump's exposed is a typical political disagreement between partisans, and should be handled as such.," he wrote. "This couldn't be further from the truth. Trump might not be a fascist in the 20th century European sense of the term-though many of his supporters are-but he might represent its 21st century US version." (Read more)

- Father, this is deplorable and ridiculous, as people become out of control on every issue. We truly are in the violent days like those of Noah. Advocating violence and rioting against any presidential candidate is uncalled for in America. We ask that You move on the mind and heart of this HuffPost writer, as well as all who do not understand Your love, and bring truth.

- "Therefore you are inexcusable, O man, whoever you are who judge, for in whatever you judge another you condemn yourself for you who judge practice the same things." (Romans 2:1)

6. Christians In Italy Told To 'Pray In Silence . . . Don't Disturb The Migrants' - Breitbart

Parishioners visiting a church in Italy were told they must "pray in silence" so as not to disturb African migrants being housed there.

Some of the faithful hoping to practice their Christianity at the church of St. Anthony in Ventimiglia were surprised when they were told by Caritas volunteers they couldn't recite the rosary and would instead have to pray in silence out of respect to migrants who are living there.

Caritas is ostensibly a Catholic charity, although much of its resources are spent on facilitating mass migration to Europe; the organisation even boasts that it contributes to and seeks to influence European Union (EU) "asylum" policies. Caritas reports that they have been distributing 600 meals a day to migrants in Ventimiglia. (Read more)

- Lord, we ask that You wake up Your church across the world to see what is really occurring in this practice of placating those of a false religion. Whether it's the Catholics or any other denomination, the agenda is to alter the practices of Christians to do what Islam desires.

- "The Lord knows the thoughts of man, that they are futile." (Psalm 94:11)

7. This Ramadan, Curious George Teaches Kids About Islam and Muslims - Huffington Post

It's a challenging time for American Muslims, including kids. According to a recent study from Georgetown's Bridge Initiative, "When Islamophobia Turns Violent: The 2016 U.S. Presidential Elections", American Muslims are 6 to 9 times more likely to experience violence than pre-9/11. (Read more)

- Father, when Muslims are obliged to lie to promote jihad, this article may be reflecting information that is not true or deliberately skewed. We pray that You will show Your truth and ways to all. We ask that if there are lies within the book, You will reveal them.

- " . . . Destruction and misery are in their ways; and the way of peace they have not known." (Romans 3:16,17)

8. We were told we were jihadists': Yazidi teen details daring escape from ISIS training camp - Fox News

A Yazidi boy who escaped an ISIS training camp and made a daring trek to safety across the desert of northern Iraq told FoxNews.com in an exclusive interview about his hellish, nine-month ordeal under the black-clad terrorist army's brutal grip.

Now safe in a Kurdish-run refugee camp, Ahmed Amin Koro, 15, fears he will never see his father again. He wonders how the tight-knit religious minority can recover from the scars inflicted by ISIS in the nearly two years since it stormed Mount Sinjar, the ancestral home of 150,000 Yazidi. (Read more)

- Father, these people have been systematically eliminated throughout the Middle East. Though their beliefs are not totally Christian, they are a persecuted people, and need Your Holy Spirit to help them.

- "Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not." (Lamentations 3:22)

9. 29 Christians Tortured by Hindu Extremists for Refusing to Forsake Christ - Christian Post

Hindu extremists have beaten and tortured 29 Christians who refused to deny their faith in Christ in the village of Katholi in India, reports say. The Express reported on Tuesday that the radicals also destroyed several Christian homes, and forced dozens of believers to flee the village.

The Hindu extremists apparently set up rituals aimed at converting the Christians into Hindus, and held a public meeting where they gathered believers. After the Christians, which included men, women, and children, refused to convert, however, they were beaten and tortured. (Read more)

- Father, we pray that You will protect Your precious ones wherever they maybe, and comfort the hearts of these victims of violence. You are the God of justice, so we ask that You pursue them and remove them from being a threat to Your people.

- "You also shall be cut down, you madmen! The sword shall pursue you."
(Jeremiah 48:2c)

10. Billy Graham: 'The Days of Noah' Are Returning to Earth - Christian Post

The Rev. Billy Graham warns in a message in the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association's Decision magazine that God's judgment is due to return to Earth.

The Baptist minister points to Genesis 6:5, which warns that God's "great Day of Judgment" will come just as the floods came during Noah's time - it could happen in 100 years or 1,000 years.

"Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the Earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually," the verse from Genesis 6:5 reads.

The flood is also referenced in Matthew 24:37-39, which reads: "As the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be." (Read more)

- Father God, we continue to thank You for Billy Graham . . . a man of God whom You have clearly raised up "for such a time as this." May we each heed his wise counsel, and prepare our hearts and our homes for what surely must soon befall each of us, in these wicked days. Amen and amen.

- "But Noah found favor in the eyes of the Lord." (Genesis 6:8)

Battleground of the mind

In the coming months there is a war to be waged against believers in the one true God. The battleground is your mind. It cannot be stressed enough that the forthcoming election is a harbinger. America stands at a crossroads of ideals. The ideal of a nation founded, bred, steeped in the Judeo-Christian values found in the Holy scriptures versus the Marxist humanist ideal of abolishing all religion, morals, property ownership in deference to government almighty. This is what we are facing. It's not about the imperfections of Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. It is about the American ideal. The two candidates are merely representatives of whether Marxism will overtake our country, or it buys a reprieve, a chance.

Many have expressed their disdain that I would write about politics in this column. Some have told me to stick to what I am supposed to do, that politics is not in my wheelhouse. Others say that we shouldn't be discussing politics and religion, there is separation of church and state. My response is that this election is not about politics. It's about the Judeo-Christian ideal of being an American and preserving those inalienable rights. Many are so blinded about the perceived evil in one candidate that they cannot see the greater and truer evil of the principality awaiting legal entry as represented by the other candidate. Separation of religion and state? How does one separate his spirit from his body? Only by death.

Are we, as the vast majority in this nation, going to become so bogged down in shades of gray and doctrinal gradients that we cannot or will not make a decision to save ourselves? There is a great threat to our way of life looming over us. We have had about a decade of this Islamic Marxism flooding our nation. We have had more than a generation of government promotion of sinful acts, our money funding them. While one person cannot right all this, nor will he try to do so, the other, however, will open the floodgates to the most anti-God forces we have seen to date. Is it not time to at least begin to turn the country around rather than allow it to sink further and faster into the quicksand of Marxism?

As the Lord said in Ezekiel 22:30, "And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it." This is what we have before us. And the battleground of our minds will determine the outcome. We will either focus on the American ideal, the Founder's vision, of a free America with freedom of speech and religion, and inalienable rights, or we will succumb to the communist ideal of government as god. The question before us is 'will we make the hedge and stand in the gap, or will we fall in the weeds of endless debate over gray areas and allow the enemies of God to overrun us?' I for one, want to be counted among those who stand in the gap so that the last part of Ezekiel 22:30 is not realized: "but I found none." We need to get our minds right for the time ahead.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Ramadan Prayers

Prayers During Ramadan: June 6th to July5th

Today's Focus: GAZA STRIP

Christians focused on Gaza are asking for believers to pray this blessing over Gaza, John 6:35:

Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty."

- It's been more difficult for the local church since Hamas took over control of Gaza. Please pray the local church would persevere and grow even through persecution. Pray for many members of Hamas would come to know Jesus Christ.

- Praise the Lord for the ministries in Gaza.

- Pray that many more ministries would be able to enter and stay in safety.

- Pray that the new believers in Gaza would grow in their faith and that God would use them mightily in ministry in their own cities.

Libyan Pays High Price for Her New-Found Christian Faith

'Maizah' saw no choice other than fleeing Libya.

She was beaten up by a group of bearded men, and offered the position of a fourth "wife". She knew that as a Christian even her own family might kill her. Running away was her only option.

Now in her twenties, Maizah is still suffering from traumatic experiences. Even after finding refuge in a Western country, she is still afraid someone will find out where she lives and come after her.

Her appearance is quite changed from before. She wears a cross that is not hard to miss. Seated in her tiny living room on a red sofa, she talks about her life back in Libya.

'Where is God?'

"When I was eight years old, I asked my mother, 'Where is God, what does he look like?' 'It's not good to ask this,' she replied angrily. 'You should ask for forgiveness. God has no form.' But I wasn't convinced.

Songs Our Grandmothers Sang:

GOD BLESS AMERICA

"Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people he chose for his inheritance." (Psalm 33:12)

> > > Editor's Note:

We dedicate this song, which is also a prayer, to all those valiant warriors across the nation who stand vigil through the night, that we might yet awaken at dawn in a land that is free. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Lyrics

While the storm clouds gather far across the sea,
Let us swear allegiance to a land that's free.
Let us all be grateful for a land so fair,
As we raise our voices in a solemn prayer:

God bless America, land that I love,
Stand beside her and guide her
Through the night with a light from above
.
From the mountains, to the prairies,
To the oceans white with foam,
God bless America, my home sweet home.
God bless America, my home sweet home.

Good News: Hundreds of Inspired Christians are Running for Office

[CBN News/Charisma] Several hundred Christian pastors and leaders are running for office this fall, in addition to those who've already run for local office.

One of their biggest encouragers and inspirations is a pastor from the Left Coast state of California. Calvary Chapel's Pastor Rob McCoy ran for City Council in Thousand Oaks, California, and won, and is running for re-election this fall.

Of his conservative values and commitment to socially and fiscally responsible principles he told CBN News, "I'm in exile in my own state and my own nation and this is a directive that God gave me, praying for the peace of the city locally." He offers encouragement to other Christians to be leaders in their local communities as well:

"You can change the city council. You can change the school board. You can make a difference right where you are. You can affect your schools; you can affect your sports teams. You have the ability to affect your Kiwanis, your Rotary. Change your bean patch. Quit whining."
