"Standing Together in the Kingdom of God . . .
Under the Cross of Christ"

'He will not come to this city or shoot an arrow there; and he will not come before it with a shield, or throw up a siege ramp against it. By the way that he came, by the same he will return, and he will not come to this city,' declares the Lord. 'For I will defend this city to save it for My own sake and for My servant David's sake.'" (Isaiah 37:33-35)

"Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed," says the LORD, who has compassion on you." (Isaiah 54:10)

1. Abbas says Cairo peace summit only after settlement freeze - Times of Israel

Palestinian leaders have presented several preconditions for participating in a trilateral Israeli-Egyptian-Palestinian peace summit in Cairo, including a freeze on Israeli settlement construction, a Palestinian official told The Times of Israel.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday reportedly told Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry he would be willing to meet with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in Cairo for talks hosted by President Abdel-Fattah el-Sissi.

The Prime Minister's Office did not deny the report by the Saudi-owned, pan-Arab news outlet Al-Arabiya. It said in a statement that "whether the issue was discussed or not, Israel has always said it is prepared to conduct direct bilateral negotiations with no preconditions."

2. Israel opens Erez Crossing for transfer of goods into Gaza - Israel National News

Israel on Wednesday opened the Erez Crossing between Israel and Gaza to allow the transfer of vehicles carrying goods for the first time in nine years, officials said, according to AFP.

An AFP photographer saw deliveries arriving through the crossing, which has been restricted to individuals since 2007, with goods going through Kerem Shalom in southern Gaza.

Residents of the Israeli towns in the area had for months complained about the hundreds of trucks passing through the area daily, which caused heavy traffic and endangered motorists.

3. Egyptian newspaper under fire because of Israel's capital - Israel National News

The Egyptian newspaper Al-Ahram came under fire this week for a simple mistake it posted on Twitter.

Following the visit of Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry to Israel, the newspaper posted a tweet stating that "the Egyptian foreign minister watched the Euro finals with Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem."

But the newspaper came under fire from the Egyptian public because it used the word "Jerusalem" instead of "Al-Quds", as the Israeli capital is known in the Arab world. Many Egyptians, including government officials in Cairo, were outraged over the error and blasted Al-Ahram for it.

4. Israel fumes at French FM for meeting with Hezbollah officials - Times of Israel

Israel has responded with anger to a reported meeting between the French foreign minister and members of the Lebanese terror organization Hezbollah, suggesting the move was comparable to meeting with representatives of the Islamic State group.

Jean-Marc Ayrault met with a political delegation of Hezbollah in Lebanon on Tuesday, according to local media reports.

Israel's Foreign Ministry released a statement urging France to follow the example of Arab states that have blacklisted Hezbollah as a terror organization.

Every prayer below is presented to our Lord in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.

1. Defense Department workers warned to avoid 'day of rage' protests - New York Post

The Department of Defense on Thursday issued a stern warning to its personnel to steer clear of tomorrow's demonstration outside the White House protesting the recent spate of fatal police shootings across the country.

A group claiming to be Anonymous is billing the DC demonstration as being part of a "collective day of rage" and "day of solidarity," with 36 other protests taking place in major cities across the country on Friday night, including one in Manhattan's Times Square.

"Please be advised the [US Northern Command] has issued a threat advisory informing DOD personnel that a series of protests has been scheduled to be conducted across the United States on July 15, 2016," reads an advisory issued by the US Army in response to a threatening video posted Wednesday by Anonymous.

The notice mentions that one of the demonstration sites is outside the White House.

"For your personal safety, we highly encourage you to avoid this specific location entirely," the Army noted. (Read more)

- Father, we thank You for the army of prayer warriors You are raising up in this hour to confront this evil plot and to take it down by overcoming evil with good. We speak forgiveness to all involved, and we ask for Your hand of protection to rest upon all who may be in the line of fire tomorrow night, in Your name, amen.

- "When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord shall lift up a standard against him." (Isaiah 59:19)

2. Court Dismisses Pending Injunctions and Appeals Against Kim Davis - Liberty Counsel

Today the federal Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals granted Kim Davis' motion to vacate the federal district court's injunctions against her and dismiss her pending appeals. This ruling completes Davis' victory over the injunctions obtained by the ACLU and solidifies the religious liberty accommodation provided by the Kentucky General Assembly and Governor Matt Bevin when they amended Kentucky's marriage licensing laws to remove the name and authorization of country clerks from marriage licenses issued by the Commonwealth. (Read more)

- Father, we rejoice in this court decision! We thank You for preserving her amid the barrage of attacks that nearly destroyed her reputation and family.

- "You are my hiding place; You shall preserve me from trouble; You shall surround me with songs of deliverance." (Psalm 32:7)

3. House Passes Protection for Health Care Providers Who Don't Perform Abortions - Weekly Standard

The Conscience Protection Act of 2016, which passed the House on a vote of 245-182, requires that "The Office for Civil Rights of the Department of Health and Human Services, in coordination with the Department of Justice (DOJ) . . . investigate complaints alleging discrimination based on an individual's religious belief, moral conviction, or refusal to be involved in an abortion."

The vote fell chiefly along party lines, with just one Republican, Richard Hanna of New York, opposing the bill and three Democrats supporting it. (Read more)

- Lord we praise You for passage of this bill in the House, knowing full well that even if it gets through the Senate, the President will want to veto it. We ask for overwhelming support that can override any veto.

- "He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed." (Proverbs 13:20)

4. FBI agents signed NDA for matters involving Hillary's emails - New York Post

In an unusual move, FBI agents working the Hillary Clinton email case had to sign a special form reminding them not to blab about the probe to anyone unless called to testify. Sources said they had never heard of the "Case Briefing Acknowledgment" form being used before, although all agents must initially sign nondisclosure agreements to obtain security clearance.

"This is very, very unusual. I've never signed one, never circulated one to others," said one retired FBI chief. An FBI agent currently on the job admitted, "I have never heard of such a form. Sounds strange."

Meanwhile, FBI agents expressed their "disappointment" over FBI Director James Comey'sdecision not to recommend charges against Clinton, sources close to the matter told The Post. "FBI agents believe there was an inside deal put in place after the Loretta Lynch/Bill Clinton tarmac meeting," said one source. (Read more)

- Father, as information on possible collusion comes to light in this case, we ask that You reveal every nook and cranky of corruption. We ask for Your justice in this matter.

- "For the Lord is a God of justice." (Isaiah 30:18)

5. Ruth Bader Ginsburg: 'I regret making' Donald Trump remarks - CNN

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said Thursday she regrets remarks she made earlier this week to CNN and other news outlets criticizing presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump.

"On reflection, my recent remarks in response to press inquiries were ill-advised and I regret making them," Ginsburg said in a statement. "Judges should avoid commenting on a candidate for public office. In the future I will be more circumspect." (Read more)

- Thank You, Lord that Justice Ginsburg realized her mistake. Unfortunately, the damage is already done. Words, when spoken either bring life or death, and when a Supreme Court Justice - especially a liberal one- brings in their personal viewpoint, it can skew an election. We pray for You will delete any damage caused by her remarks, and protect the election.

We ask You to forgive Justice Ginsburg, and we thank You for the humility she has demonstrated in making this statement. In Your name, amen.

- "And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity. The tongue is so set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire by hell." (James 3:6)

6. Virginia school board takes transgender bathroom case to Supreme Court - Fox News

A Virginia school board asked the Supreme Court on Wednesday to block a transgender male from using the boys restroom when he comes back to school in September until the high court decides whether to review the case.

The Gloucester County School Board filed an emergency appeal with Chief Justice John Roberts in an attempt to prevent Gavin Grimm from using the bathroom that aligns with his gender identity when school resumes in fall, saying it will "put parents' constitutional rights in jeopardy."

"Depriving parents of any say over whether their children should be exposed to members of the opposite biological sex, possibly in a state of full or complete undress, in intimate settings deprives parents of their right to direct the education and upbringing of their children," attorneys for the school board wrote. (Read more)

- Father, we pray that this transgender bathroom law will be rejected by the Supreme Court, and the protection of our children restored.

- "Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!" (Matthew 18:7)

7. Obama's Syria plan teams up American and Russian forces - Washington Post

The Obama administration's new proposal to Russia on Syria is more extensive than previously known. It would open the way for deep cooperation between U.S. and Russian military and intelligence agencies and coordinated air attacks by American and Russian planes on Syrian rebels deemed to be terrorists, according to the text of the proposal I obtained.

Secretary of State John F. Kerry plans to discuss the plan with top Russian officials in a visit to Moscow on Thursday. (Read more)

- Lord, we do not know the wisdom of teaming up with Russia in these critical battles, especially since the US is backing groups that Russia wants to destroy. We ask that You bring clarity into this situation, and allow Your perfect Will to prevail.

- "Wisdom is better than strength." (Eccl 9:16a)

8. US sends Marines to South Sudan capital to protect citizens - Fox News

The U.S. military in Africa says it has sent 40 additional soldiers to South Sudan's capital, Juba, to help secure American personnel and facilities in the war-torn city. Amid a tense cease-fire which has held since Monday night, the U.S. troops deployed at the request of the State Department, said Africom spokeswoman Cpt. Jennifer Dyrcz.

In five days of fighting in the capital President Salva Kiir's forces ousted those loyal to First Vice President Riek Machar from one of their bases. The fighting left hundreds dead in the capital and aid workers said bodies remain in the streets.

The U.S. Embassy in Juba said it is organizing flights to evacuate non-essential staff and for all U.S. citizens wishing to leave South Sudan. (Read more)

- Father, we pray for Your mighty protection over all of our troops as well as the civilians they were sent to protect.

A suspected extremist being held at a police station in western Kenya grabbed a gun and shot at police officers, killing four, leading to a hostage situation, an official said Thursday.

Police commandos have been deployed to rescue other prisoners at the station and try to end the standoff, Kenya's police chief, Joseph Boinnet, said. "His attempts to escape were thwarted by quick arrival by other officers," Boinnet said.

An Associated Press reporter at the scene said gunshots could be heard after police commandos went into the building, and two nearby schools have been closed and the children evacuated. (Read more)

- Father, we understand that this decision is not final until Donald Trump makes his formal announcement tomorrow at 11:00 a.m. We thank You, Faithful God, that as each candidate seeks You in his or her race for the White House, You will grant wisdom from above. In Your Name, amen.

- "But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him." (James 1:5)

Free speech and global warming

In August of 2012, former Vice President Al Gore said that global warming has reached such a height that "it's like a nature hike through the book of Revelations." Al Gore the prophet is no more accurate than Al Gore the global warming alarmist. It is the book of Revelation, which has nothing to do with long term weather patterns, but with God's judgment on earth. Trouble is, Gore, the current "president" and his assumed successor Hillary Clinton want to ban speech that is in opposition to global warming, which is now called "climate change." The Democratic Party platform currently calls for prosecuting companies who mislead the public "on the scientific reality of climate change."

Notwithstanding, the scientists at the University of East Anglia's Climate Research Unit (CRU), the official source of global warming/climate change data, fabricated the data. It is a lie perpetuated by politicians. The UK Telegraph, once an advocate of global warming, had a turn about in 2008. Environmentalist reporter James Delingpole blew the whistle on scientists after he obtained 1079 emails and 72 documents from the CRU. He wrote in 2009 that scientists were practicing "Conspiracy, collusion in exaggerating warming data, possibly illegal destruction of embarrassing information, organized resistance to disclosure, manipulation of data, private admissions of flaws in their public claims and much more."

Also in December of 2008 some 650 scientists refuted Gore's concept of global warming. Nobel Prize winner for physics Ivar Giaever said, "I am a skeptic. . . Global warming has become a new religion." One of the UN's own IPCC scientists from Japan, Dr. Kiminori Itoh, said in the report that global warming fears are "the worst scientific scandal in the history...When people come to know what the truth is, they will feel deceived by science and scientists." Environmental scientist Delgado Domingos of Portugal says, "The present alarm on climate change is an instrument of social control, a pretext for major businesses and political battle."

Genesis 1:28 defines man's role in the environment, "And God blessed them, and God said unto them, be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion . . . over every living thing that moves upon the earth." And after the great flood of Noah's time, God promised in Genesis 8:22, "While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease." Jesus said in Matthew 24:4, "Take heed that no man deceive you." Only God the Creator has power to destroy earth. Man is its steward. And we should not be deceived by men who are using fear of the earth's destruction to create a new religion, a new social order.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

The Persecuted Church

How Religion is Being Used to Manipulate Egyptians

Religions are meant to play a spiritual role in people's lives; yet their power is being harnessed in the service of the Egyptian state, providing it with an additional "maneuvering tool" to frame and manipulate citizens. With the aim of supporting the state in its mission to control the society, large numbers of citizens (defined as religious figures) are, unfortunately, advocating for irreligious behavior.

The Egyptian state claims to be working on promoting a "devout society", but actually it is expanding and strengthening the role played by religion in ordinary people's lives in order to eventually use it as a tool to control society. Religion in Egypt is no different from politics, business, media, or any other domain; they all function as diverse arms and processes servicing the state's policies. Obviously, this comes at the cost of distancing Egyptians from observing and abiding by the true values of their respective religions.

Classic Hymns

Songs Our Grandmothers Sang:

ONWARD, CHRISTIAN SOLDIERS

"Do not be discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's." (2 Chronicles 20:15)

Lyrics

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, With the cross of Jesus going on before. Christ, the royal Master, leads against the foe; Forward into battle see His banners go!

Refrain

Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war, With the cross of Jesus going on before.

At the sign of triumph Satan's host doth flee; On then, Christian soldiers, on to victory! Hell's foundations quiver at the shout of praise; Brothers lift your voices, loud your anthems raise.

Refrain

Like a mighty army moves the church of God; Brothers, we are treading where the saints have trod. We are not divided, all one body we, One in hope and doctrine, one in charity.

Refrain

What the saints established that I hold for true. What the saints believèd, that I believe too. Long as earth endureth, men the faith will hold, Kingdoms, nations, empires, in destruction rolled.

Refrain

Crowns and thrones may perish, kingdoms rise and wane, But the church of Jesus constant will remain. Gates of hell can never gainst that church prevail; We have Christ's own promise, and that cannot fail.

Refrain

Onward then, ye people, join our happy throng, Blend with ours your voices in the triumph song. Glory, laud and honor unto Christ the King, This through countless ages men and angels sing.

Refrain

Newly discovered dwarf planet takes 700 years to orbit the sun

A new dwarf planet has been discovered in the icy realms of space beyond Neptune, researchers said Monday.

An international team of astronomers spotted the tiny world using the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope as part of the ongoing Outer Solar System Origins Survey.

"The icy worlds beyond Neptune trace how the giant planets formed and then moved out from the Sun. They let us piece together the history of our Solar System," Michele Bannister of the University of Victoria in British Columbia said in a statement.

"But almost all of these icy worlds are painfully small and faint: it's really exciting to find one that's large and bright enough that we can study it in detail." (CNN)

"There will be signs in the sun, moon and stars. On the earth, nations will be in anguish and perplexity at the roaring and tossing of the sea." (Luke 21:25)

BREAKING: House passes bill to stop govt from forcing people to participate in abortion

WASHINGTON, D.C., July 13, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) - The House of Representatives has passed the Conscience Protection Act of 2016 (S. 304), by a 245-182 vote.

Three dependable pro-life Democrats - Henry Cuellar, Daniel Lipinski, and Collin Peterson - voted for the bill, while one pro-abortion Republican - Richard Hanna - voted against it.

The bill, which would prevent the government from discriminating against any health care provider who refuses to "perform, refer for, pay for, or otherwise participate in abortion," also allows victims of discrimination to sue in civil court.

The law would codify into law the Weldon Amendment, an amendment passed every year since 2004 but which Republicans and the U.S. Catholic bishops say the Obama administration has ignored.

The bill, originally introduced in the Senate by South Dakota's John Thune on an unrelated topic, is now amended in full with the abortion conscience measure backed for years in the House by Congressmen John Fleming, R-LA, and Diane Black, R-TN.

Speaker Paul Ryan, who testified on the House floor this afternoon, said the two "have done the Lord's work" by introducing the bill. "I'm thankful for these warriors." House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy also commended the pair. Rep. Fleming is a doctor and Rep. Black is a nurse, he noted.

The amended bill must now be approved by the Senate. (LifeSiteNews)
