Focus on Israel

1. Netanyahu says Lauder peace push is his biggest challenge - Jerusalem Post

Last week, World Jewish Congress President Ronald Lauder released a series of statements confirming that he had encouraged US President Donald Trump to recognize that peace between Israelis and Palestinians was now attainable. He also stressed that he considers Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to be a moderate committed to peace. Implicit in his narrative is that the Israeli government and especially Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had previously been insufficiently flexible but that Trump could succeed in his efforts.

2. Barghouti calls on Palestinians: Civil disobedience - Israel National News

Archterrorist Marwan Barghouti met with his lawyer for the first time since he recently initiated a hunger strike. Barghouti was later caught on camera breaking the hunger strike.

Barghouti transferred to the lawyer a letter in which he called on the Palestinian public to strengthen its identification with prisoners and to initiate civil disobedience against the "occupation."

3. Jordan, PA, Egypt reiterate commitment to two states - Israel National News

Jordan, the Palestinian Authority (PA) and Egypt on Sunday reiterated their commitment to the "two-state solution" as the only solution to the Israel-PA conflict, the Jordanian news agency Petra reports.

Jordan's Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi met in Amman with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry and Saeb Erekat, the Palestine Liberation Organization's (PLO) executive committee's secretary general.

The three discussed future steps regarding the peace process, which is a "priority issue" for the region, Safadi was quoted as having told reporters.

4. Israel appoints first female judge to Sharia Court - Times of Israel

President Reuven Rivlin and Justice Minister Ayelet Shaked installed the first ever female judge, or qadi, for Israel's Sharia Court system on Monday in Jerusalem, along with three other regional qadis.

"This is testament to the positive changes in the status of women," said Rivlin,as he praised Hana Mansour Khatib, a lawyer from the Galilee of town of Tamra who previously specialized in family and Sharia law. "This is testament to the inescapable understanding that it is our duty to ensure that half of the world's population has an equal part in determining and implementing policies and laws in all spheres of life. Today, I will allow myself to express the hope that the appointment of the first female religious judge will be the first of many, not just in the Muslim community."

5. Bin Laden's son calls for attacks against 'Jewish interests everywhere' - World Israel News

Sheikh Hamza Osama bin Laden, the son of Osama bin Laden, the mastermind behind the terrorist attacks in the United States on September 11, 2001, called for terror attacks against Jewish targets around the world in a video released by his late father's terrorist organization, al-Qaeda.

In the video titled, "Advice for Martyrdom-Seekers in the West," Hamza Osama bin Laden lists priorities for anyone seeking to commit terror attacks of "martyrdom" on behalf of Islam.

Hamza said that first, "everyone who transgressed against our pure religion or against our beloved Prophet" should be a target.

6. Harsh exchange between Trump and Netanyahu teams days ahead of key Israel visit - Jerusalem Post

A dramatic rift was created between Washington and Jerusalem as US President Donald Trump's team as well as Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's team both issued harsh statements on Monday evening less than a week prior to the president's much-expected visit to Israel.

The drama unfolded when a senior White House official said that the Western Wall was part of the West Bank and not part of Israel's territory, as Channel 2 reported on Monday.

"The Western Wall is not in your territory," the official reportedly said.

It seems that the official was prompted to make the statement after members of Netanyahu's team asked if Netanyahu could join Trump on the visit to the Western Wall and whether Israeli photographers could document the event, to which the Americans replied that the Western Wall was a "disputed territory."

The Daily Brief

Please note:
Every prayer below is presented to our Lord in the Name of Jesus Christ, amen.

1. State Department Expands Pro-life Policy - Liberty Counsel

Under President Trump's administration, the State Department announced today plans to expand the Mexico City policy that bans U.S. funding for abortions overseas. The expanded policy, known as "Protecting Life in Global Health Assistance," prohibits U.S. taxpayer money from funding foreign organizations that perform or actively promote abortion as a method of family planning.

The pro-life policy will apply global health assistance funding for international health programs, such as those for HIV/AIDS, maternal and child health, malaria, global health security, and family planning and reproductive health, rather than abortion. (Read more)

- Lord, we rejoice at this news and pray that You will protect this action by the Blood of Jesus and the Power of His Name!

- "Oh send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me." (Psalm 43:1)

2. Filthy mattresses, toddlers' shoes and dog collars: Inside the squalid Philippines home of 'sweating US predator who filmed the sexual abuse of children for international online pedophile ring' - Daily Mail

Vile images have emerged from inside the home of an American man suspected of exploiting Filipino children and using webcams to sell videos, images and livestreams.

David Timothy Deakin, 53, was arrested at his Philippines home last month in what was potentially the largest ever seizure of illicit digital content in the country. Children's underwear, toddler shoes, cameras, bondage cuffs, fetish ropes and stacks of hard drives can be seen scattered throughout the two-bedroom townhouse.

[Editor's comment: we are intentionally NOT showing this link, as these photos are truly disgusting. Let's adhere to the dictates of Philippians 4:8 in all we say and do. Thank you.]

- Lord, we are sickened by the sexual perversion that is rampant through the world at this time. WE pray for these victims, that You will redeem their lives from the pit, and rid this mand form the demons that have ensnared his thoughts and heart.

- "For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord." (Proverbs 3:32a)

3. Bathroom Policy Back in Court - Liberty Counsel

Today, Liberty Counsel filed an amicus brief at the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals on behalf of a Virginia school board on the so-called bathroom transgender decision in G.G. v. Gloucester County School Board. The brief was filed on behalf of Dr. Judith Reisman and the Center for Child Protection Institute.

The Supreme Court previously blocked the decision by the appeals court which ruled that the federal law known as Title IX should be interpreted to include "gender identity" and that a girl who "identifies" as a boy can use the boy's restroom. The case was sent back to the court of appeals after President Trump rescinded Obama's transgender guidance that schools had to adopt a policy allowing students to use the restroom of their "self-identity." (Read more)

- Father, we ask that You save the children of our nation from all of these perversions that confuse them. We pray for this team of lawyers, that You will grant them anointing and wisdom.

- "He guards the paths of justice, and preserves the way of His saints." (Proverbs2:8)

4. Experts try to figure out who's behind global cyberattack - SRN News

Experts are trying to figure out who's behind a global "ransomware" software cyberattack that shut down hundreds of thousands of computers around the world by exploiting a software vulnerability. Some details about the "WannaCry" attack, which emerged late Friday, and what you can do to stay safe:

HOW THE VIRUS WORKS

Cybersecurity experts say the worm affects computers using Microsoft operating systems and takes advantage of a vulnerability in the software to spread the infection. "WannaCry" is particularly malicious because it takes just one person to click on an infected link or email attachment to cause the virus to spread to other machines on the same network.

Infected computers are frozen and display a big message in red informing users, "Oops, your files have been encrypted!" and demanding about $300 in online bitcoin payment. Victims have only hours to pay the ransom, which rises to $600 before the files are destroyed.

Money has been trickling in, according to a Twitter account monitoring bitcoin wallets linked to the attacks, with victims paying nearly $39,000 by Monday afternoon in Asia. (Read more)

- Lord, we ask that You grant Your wisdom to those whose computers have been affected by this attack, so that all can be recovered. We pray that You will execute justice quickly and find whoever is responsible so that they may be held accountable.

- "I will praise You forever, because You have done it." (Psalm 52: 9a)

5. UN agency helps North Korea with patent application for banned nerve gas chemical - Fox News

For more than a year, a United Nations agency in Geneva has been helping North Korea prepare an international patent application for production of sodium cyanide -- a chemical used to make the nerve gas Tabun -- which has been on a list of materials banned from shipment to that country by the U.N. Security Council since 2006.

The World Intellectual Property Organization, or WIPO, has made no mention of the application to the Security Council committee monitoring North Korea sanctions, nor to the U.N. Panel of Experts that reports sanctions violations to the committee, even while concerns about North Korean weapons of mass destruction, and the willingness to use them, have been on a steep upward spiral.

Fox News told both U.N. bodies of the patent application for the first time late last week, after examining the application file on a publicly available WIPO internal website. (Read more)

- Father, we ask that the UN be held accountable for their failures, and agencies that lie or hide their actions and vote against Your people. We pray that you move across the entire organization and bring them to their knees in repentance, or remove them from our soil.

- "When I choose the proper time, I will judge uprightly." (Psalm 75:2)

6. Germany Confiscating Homes to Use for Migrants - Gatestone Institute

In an unprecedented move, Hamburg authorities confiscated six residential units in the Hamm district near the city center. A trustee appointed by the city is now renovating the properties and will rent them - against the will of the owner - to tenants chosen by the city. District spokeswoman Sorina Weiland said that all renovation costs will be billed to the owner of the properties.

Similar expropriation measures have been proposed in Berlin, the German capital, but abandoned because they were deemed unconstitutional.

Some Germans are asking what is next: Will authorities now limit the maximum amount of living space per person, and force those with large apartments to share them with strangers? (Read more)

- Father, we ask that You stop this action, but that You will move across Germany to touch their hearts and minds, changing their hearts of stone to hearts of flesh.

- "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh." (Ezekiel 36:26)

7. White House denies report Trump revealed classified info about ISIS to Russians - Fox News

White House officials Monday denounced a Washington Post report that President Trump revealed classified information about ISIS to Russia's foreign minister and Moscow's ambassador to the United States during a White House meeting last week. In a brief statement in front of the White House, National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster described the Post's story as "false."

The newspaper cited current and former U.S. officials who said Trump jeopardized a critical source of intelligence on ISIS in his conversations with the Russian officials, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and Ambassador Sergey Kislyak. "The president and the foreign minister reviewed a range of common threats to our two countries, including threats to civil aviation," McMaster said. "At no time, at no time, were intelligence sources or methods discussed, and the president did not disclose any military operations that were not already publicly known."

McMaster's statement echoed earlier denials issued by two other administration officials who attended the meeting. (Read more)

- Lord, these continual attacks against our President threaten to derail his momentum. We pray for President Trump and cover him with the Blood of Jesus, asking You to protect and defend him against the lies of the media.

- "A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who speaks likes shall perish." (Proverbs 19:9)

8. Trump travel ban faces skeptical panel in 9th Circuit hearing - Fox News

The legal hold on President Trump's so-called travel ban seems unlikely to be lifted anytime soon, based on the tenor of oral arguments before a federal appellate court in Seattle on Monday.

The Trump administration's top courtroom lawyer faced a trio of judges who expressed varying degrees of skepticism about the presidential decree that critics argue violates the Constitution's religious protections. Acting Solicitor General Jeffrey Wall was repeatedly asked to explain how controversial statements made by Trump and administration officials can allow a reasonable observer to conclude the purpose of the executive order was something other than prejudice against Muslims.

"How is a court to know if [the executive order] is a Muslim ban in the guise of national security justification?" Judge Ronald Gould asked. (Read more)

- Father, we pray that somehow You will preserve the integrity of elections in North Carolina. We ask for the Supreme Court to see truth and judge righteously. "The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul." Psalm 121:7

9. U.S. top court lets North Carolina voter law die, pleasing rights groups - Reuters

The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday rebuffed a Republican bid to revive a strict North Carolina voter-identification law that a lower court found deliberately discriminated against black voters, handing a victory to Democrats and civil rights groups.

The justices' decision not to take up a Republican appeal in the important voting rights dispute set no legal precedent and did not rule out the possibility that the court, with a 5-4 conservative majority, would endorse such laws in future. North Carolina's law was one of a number of similar statutes passed by Republican-controlled states.

"Today's announcement is good news for North Carolina voters. We need to be making it easier to vote, not harder," said North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, a Democrat who took office in January and asked the court not to take up the case.

The justices left in place a July 2016 ruling by the Richmond, Virginia-based 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that voided the law passed by a Republican-controlled legislature and signed by a Republican governor. (Read more)

10. Miss USA 2017 Criticized For Conservative Politics- Daily Caller

The second black woman in a row just won the Miss USA 2017 pageant, but liberals who claim to love diversity are livid that she denounced feminism and said that health care is a "privilege" rather than a "right." Black Lives Matter leader DeRay McKesson warned his followers not to take their political advice from Kara McCullough, the newly crowned Miss USA.

A number of Twitter users accused McCullough of being uneducated because of her remarks. However, she is a nuclear scientist at the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that Ms. McCullough would be strong and full of truth. We pray that she will have answers straight from Your Holy Spirit against all of the criticism.

Be encouraged

First and foremost, don't allow yourself to be discouraged. As Jesus said in Matthew 5:13 and 14, "You are the salt of the earth...you are the light of the world." You are so very talented in the gifts the Lord has given you. You are a breath of fresh air to those around you and an inspiration to folks you don't even know. The events of the world can be overwhelming if you focus on them instead of the Lord. You are a fellow change agent in the culture we are trying to change. As Winston Churchill said, "Never give in--never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy."

The issues we are facing as a nation, and perhaps personally, are tough to deal with, but if we can control what we can control and remain focused, we can make an impact. We can be the very best that we can be, which will challenge others to raise their own standards to keep up. Stay encouraged. Turn discouragement into determination, and determination into domination. That's how we have to roll. We're not going to let anybody get the best of us. We are stronger together and when we stand in solidarity together, we win together. Let's not allow distractions to hinder the purpose and focus of our mission. We don't need to allow ourselves to become angry or offended, but use these affronts to educate on our position.

We have a great future in Christ Jesus, and we can play a significant role in making life better for all. Don't allow yourself to walk away or to be discouraged or be influenced by someone else's envy. You are a child of the living God, full of life and energy-he has provided all the skill sets you need to be successful in this environment. As Paul wrote in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." When we look around at the condition of the world, the nature of people who live with hate in their hearts, but recognize righteousness as hate, we must understand that we don't have to fear because we have the answer to their hurts.

Believe me, I understand what you are enduring. We talk about it a lot here in our house. The darkness of the unrighteous, the insanity of those who have no historic perspective or common sense, seem to be encroaching on everything that is good. They truly are saying that good is evil and evil is good. But we have the promises of God's word upon which we can stand. And having done all, we shall stand. Proverbs 28:18 says, "Whoso walks in integrity shall be saved: but he that is crooked in his ways shall fall at once." As a man of faith, I know that people generally reap what they sow. Keep sowing that good seed. Do not be deterred by the noise of the unrighteous. Be emboldened by the light of Christ that shines within you.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

"In America, We Don't Worship Government, We Worship God" President Trump's Inspiring Speech at Liberty

"Preacher" Donald Trump Shines During Liberty Commencement Speech: "As Long as I am Your President No One is Ever Going to Stop You From Practicing Your Faith"
(Lynchburg, VA)-President Trump wowed a huge crowd at Liberty University during his commencement speech on Saturday with a heartfelt nod to traditional faith in America. He also gave some fascinating insights into the mind and heart of the transparent and plain-spoken businessman who has become the 45th president of the United States.
It was a speech that even many on the other side of the political aisle had to agree was powerful-though anti-Trumpers were quick to dismiss his speech as, among other things, (paraphrasing from a CNN pundit) "throwing a bone to white evangelical Christians in the face of a growing multi-cultural America."

Interestingly, the president noted that he used to watch the late Jerry Falwell years ago, indicating his interest in the pulse of evangelicalism in the country before he ever won the highest office in the land.

The president also called out two individuals in attendance for the graduation: football great Jim Kelly and WWII war hero George Rogers. In relating their incredible life stories, Trump seized on the message of hope and perseverance in the face of extreme adversity. Though the mainstream media glossed over this section of the president's speech, one news outlet-Fox News-included video shots of the two heroes, presenting one of the most powerfully poignant and must-see moments of the commencement. Classic Hymns:

WHEN THE TOILS OF LIFE ARE OVER

In the New Jerusalem

"I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God." (Revelation 21:2)

Lyrics

When the toils of life are over, And we lay our armor down, And we bid farewell to earth with all its cares, We shall meet and greet our loved ones, And our Christ we then shall crown, In the new Jerusalem.

Refrain

There'll be singing, there'll be shouting
When the saints come marching home,
In Jerusalem, in Jerusalem,
Waving palms with loud hosannas
As the King shall take His throne,
In the new Jerusalem.

Though the way is sometimes lonely, He will hold me with His hand, Through the testings and the trials I must go. But I'll trust and gladly follow, For sometime I'll understand, In the new Jerusalem.

Refrain

When the last goodbye is spoken And the tear stains wiped away, And our eyes shall catch a glimpse of glory fair, Then with bounding hearts we'll meet Him Who hath washed our sins away, In the new Jerusalem.

Refrain

When we join the ransomed army In the summer land above, And the face of our dear Savior we behold, We will sing and shout forever, And we'll grow in perfect love, In the new Jerusalem.

Refrain

Signs and Wonders

Cosmic Rays Are Intensifying

As the sunspot cycle declines, we expect cosmic rays to increase. Is this actually happening? The answer is "yes." Spaceweather.com and the students of Earth to Sky Calculus have been monitoring radiation levels in the stratosphere with frequent high-altitude balloon flights over California. Here are the latest results, current as of May 6, 2017.

The data show cosmic ray levels intensifying with an approximately 13% increase since March 2015.

Cosmic rays are high-energy photons and subatomic particles accelerated in our direction by distant supernovas and other violent events in the Milky Way. Usually, cosmic rays are held at bay by the sun's magnetic field, which envelops and protects all the planets in the Solar System. But the sun's magnetic shield is weakening in 2017 as the solar cycle shifts from Solar Maximum to Solar Minimum. More and more cosmic rays are therefore reaching our planet.

How does this affect us? Cosmic rays penetrate commercial airlines, dosing passengers and flight crews enough that pilots are classified as occupational radiation workers. Some research shows that cosmic rays can seed clouds and trigger lightning, potentially altering weather and climate. Furthermore, there are studies linking cosmic rays with cardiac arrhythmias in the general population.
The sensors we send to the stratosphere measure X-rays and gamma-rays, which are produced by the crash of primary cosmic rays into Earth's atmosphere. The energy range of the sensors, 10 keV to 20 MeV, is similar to that of medical X-ray machines and airport security scanners.
NOTE: This increase is not happening ONLY over California. All parts of the world will be experiencing elevated levels of cosmic rays. The amount varies from place to place depending on the uneven protection afforded by our own planet's magnetic field. In the days ahead we will share new data from intercontinental balloon launches tracing the global response to this phenomenon.

When This Jewish Girl Saw Jesus In a Dream EVERYTHING Changed!

Jewish girl Daniella had the most remarkable encounter with the Lord Jesus in a dream that changed her life forever. Growing up at school, she was bullied for being overweight.

Daniella felt incredibly lonely. "I felt just unloved in every possible way. All this loneliness I felt, and the pain from everyone else around me, just felt like a wasn't worth anything," she recalls.

Then, in seventh grade, she had a dream.

"There was this fish. And behind him stood a figure with a light, saying something. The dream just kept on coming back."

She didn't think anything of it. Her life began to improve. She went to a new school, made new friends, and even met a boy, Nathaniel. One evening, she was in his room, when she discovered a book under his pillow. It was a Bible.

"I looked at the cover and flipped through the book. Suddenly I saw the fish! The fish from my dream!"

She couldn't believe it. "I got really hyper. I asked "whose book is this?!"

I asked Nathaniel "What's different about you?"

He said he was a Messianic Jew. He explained that he believed in Jesus. That Jesus died for us on the cross. (hellochristian.com) Read more.
