"Standing United Together . . . Under the Cross of Christ"

Happy New Year, President Trump!

New York Times:

Trump Transforms Presidency Like No Other

President Donald Trump has changed the face and protocol of the U.S. presidency, but it was not to merely be contrarian to past administrations, he is moving in the direction he believes is best, White House chief of staff John Kelly told The New York Times.

"He very seldom asks how other presidents did this," Gen. Kelly told the paper. "The norms and conventions are exactly what he ran against and, in his view, are why we're in the fix we're in. He doesn't intentionally make decisions that are opposite, say, of what a previous president would make. He's got a view of what's better for America."

Kelly, who entered the White House in the middle of Trump's first year, is not alone in his assessment of the new-age president - inner circle or otherwise - according to the report.

"You've got someone who is defining the presidency very differently," presidential historian Michael Beschloss told the Times. "Trump is essentially saying, 'I'm not going to operate just within the boundaries that the founders might have expected or people might have expected for 200 years. I'm going to operate within the boundaries of what is strictly legal, and I'm going to push those boundaries if I can.'"

- Lord we praise You that this President has a mind of his own and does what he believes is right. We continue to ask for wisdom and understanding for him.

- "The fear of the Lord is to hate evil." (Proverbs 8:13a)

Focus on Israel

1. Pence visit to Israel postponed indefinitely - Israel National News

JTA - A planned trip to Israel by U.S. Vice President Mike Pence will not take place in January and has been indefinitely postponed.

A visit to Israel by Pence, that had been delayed from last month to mid-January, did not appear on a list of visiting foreign officials for this month published Monday by the Foreign Ministry.

Pence originally postponed a planned December 18th visit to Israel so he could preside over the vote on a tax overhaul favored by Trump. It was believed that Pence might have been needed to cast the deciding vote in the closely divided Senate. (Read more)

- Abba, we thank You that You always hear our prayers. We pray for Your will to be done regarding Vice President Pence's trip to Israel. We ask that You make the way if he should be involved at this time. Father, we also lift up the Arab leaders and ask You to touch their hearts. We pray they would have a genuine desire to work with Israelis to bring peace to Israel. We ask for Your hand of mercy and protection over everyone involved. We pray in the name of Yeshua, amen.

- "The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, and he delights in his way." (Psalms 37:23)

2. Defense minister: Mortar shells fired at Israel on Friday were supplied by Iran - Times of Israel

Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman on Saturday night said the three mortar shellsfired at Israel a day earlier were supplied by Iran to terrorist groups in Gaza.

The defense minister also called the firing a "very grave" act.

Speaking to Hadashot News' "Meet the Press," Liberman said the Islamic Republic has supplied such weaponry to a number of terror groups in the Gaza Strip in the past, and therefore it was "too early" to identify the exact source of the shelling.

3. Riots break out along the Gaza Strip border as tensions rise after rocket fire - Jerusalem Online

After three rockets were fired into Israel from the Gaza Strip on Friday morning, around 2,000 Palestinians gathered in different locations along the Gaza Strip border throwing stones and Molotov cocktails at security forces.

4. Likud party calls for de-facto annexation of Israeli settlements - Reuters

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud party unanimously urged legislators in a non-binding resolution on Sunday to effectively annex Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, land that Palestinians want for a future state.

By enacting civilian law over settlements, the move could streamline procedures for their construction and expansion. That land is currently under military jurisdiction and Israel's defense minister has a final say on building there.

The settlers are subject to Israeli civilian law.

5. Barkat: With No Budget, We're Going To Emergency Mode - Jerusalem Post

The Jerusalem Municipality is preparing to operate under emergency measures and is on the verge of firing 2,150 employees, in light of the Finance Ministry's refusal to transfer budgets to the city, Mayor Nir Barkat said on Monday.

In a press conference at City Hall, Barkat blamed Finance Minister Moshe Kahlon for vetoing every initiative for "fair budgeting of the city of Jerusalem." The mayor said that despite recent advances in the capital, studies show its budgets have been neglected for years.

6. In late night vote, Knesset passes law to hinder East Jerusalem withdrawal - Times of Israel

Lawmakers approved a bill in the early hours Tuesday that requires a special two-thirds majority vote in the Knesset to relinquish any part of Jerusalem to the Palestinians under a future peace accord.

The bill passed its second and third readings in a late night session by a majority of 64 in favor, 51 against, and one abstention.

The bill, which was proposed by Jewish Home MK Shuli Moalem-Refaeli and had the coalition backing, was designed to make it much harder to divide the city that Israel claims as its undivided capital. The Palestinians claim East Jerusalem as a capital of a future state.

The Daily Brief

1. Death toll rises in wave of protests across Iran - NY Post

Ten people were killed during street protests in Iran on Sunday, state television said Monday. The nationwide protests have drawn in tens of thousands of people and represent the boldest challenge to Iran's leadership since pro-reform unrest in 2009. Calls for more demonstrations Monday raise the possibility of prolonged instability.

"In the events of last night, unfortunately, a total of about 10 people were killed in several cities," state television said while showing footage of damage from the demonstrations. It gave no further details of the deaths. Unsigned statements posted on social media urged Iranians to demonstrate again in the capital, Tehran, and 50 other urban centers. (Read more)

- Lord, as the Iranian regime continues to crack down on dissent, we pray that Your Hand will come upon the radical Muslims in charge of the country. Let them be removed from power so that the real people may live in peace.

- "You have a mighty arm; strong is Your hand, and high is Your right hand. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne. Mercy and truth go before Your face." (Psalm 89:13,14)

2. Trump redoubles support of Iran protests, saying the 'world is watching' - Fox News

President Trump on Saturday again expressed his support for Iran's growing anti-government protests, saying oppressive regimes "cannot endure forever" and that "the world is watching."

"Oppressive regimes cannot endure forever, and the day will come when the Iranian people will face a choice. The world is watching!" Trump said in two tweets. "The entire world understands that the good people of Iran want change, and, other than the vast military power of the United States, that Iran's people are what their leaders fear the most."

Against the backdrop of the Trump comments, reports emerged that the protests were escalating in their violence. Reuters said Saturday that videos posted on social media showed two young Iranian men lying motionless on the ground and covered with blood; a voiceover said they had been shot dead by police. It said security forces fired on protesters in the western town of Dorud and killed at least two. Other protesters in the same video were chanting, "I will kill whoever killed my brother!" (Read more)

- Father, we thank You for a President who does not back the evil regime of Iran, but instead stands with the people who oppose it.

- "Is this not the fast I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, to let the oppressed go free," (Isaiah 58:6)

3. Kim Jong Un says he has complete nuclear arsenal and a button on his desk - USA Today

Kim Jong Un used his annual New Year's Day speech on Monday to announce that he had a nuclear button on his desk, with the entire United States mainland within the range of his weapons. But the North Korean leader said he would not use the weapons unless threatened.

"The United States should know that the button for nuclear weapons is on my table," he said during the nationally televised speech, according to a provisional translation by The Associated Press. The entire U.S. mainland, he said, "is within our nuclear strike range." But Kim also said those weapons would not be used unless his country faced aggression, AP reported. "This year, we should focus on mass-producing nuclear warheads and ballistic missiles for operational deployment," Kim said. "These weapons will be used only if our security is threatened." (Read more)

- Father, we pray that You will stop this man from any plans he has for destruction of the US or Western interests in the region. Let his missiles and his button be dismantled. We ask for a major move of Your Spirit throughout North Korea, bringing to an end the repressive regime.

- "For behold, Your enemies, O Lord, for behold Your enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered." (Psalm 92:9)

4. Anthrax antibodies in defector raises bioweapons fear - USA Today

The reported discovery of anthrax antibodies in a North Korean defector is renewing fears that the regime of Kim Jong Un is developing lethal biological weapons in violation of international law.

A South Korean intelligence officer told that nation's Channel A television that one of at least four soldiers who defected from the North this year had the antibodies in his system. Senior defense analyst Shin Jong Woo said the anthrax vaccine is probably given to North Korean soldiers working on biological weapons projects.

Although rare in the United States, people can get sick with anthrax if they come in contact with infected animals or contaminated animal products, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention website. Contact with anthrax can cause severe illness and death if not treated, according to the CDC, which noted that anthrax is not contagious like a common cold or flu.

The revelation about the defector comes a week after reports began circulating that North Korea had begun tests to load anthrax onto intercontinental ballistic missiles. The Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun, citing intelligence sources in Seoul, has reported that Kim's regime is conducting heat and pressure resistance tests to see whether anthrax germs can survive the intense heat an intercontinental ballistic missile encounters when it re-enters Earth's atmosphere. (Read more)

- Father God, this situation in North Korea is now so out of control; we can only turn to You, Most High God, to deliver us. We repent of our sins, cry out to You for mercy, and trust You to fight this battle for us. We decree that "it is not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit, saith the Lord," that these things shall be accomplished. Lord God, our real reliance is upon You. Amen.

-"Thus the children of Israel were subdued at that time; and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied on the Lord God of their fathers." (2 Chronicles 13:18)
"Lord, it is nothing for You to help, whether with many or with those who have no power; help us, O Lord our God, for we rest on You, and in Your name we go against this multitude. O Lord, You are our God; do not let man prevail against You!"
(2 Chronicles 14:11)

5. Exclusive: Russian tankers fueled North Korea via transfers at sea - Reuters

Russian tankers have supplied fuel to North Korea on at least three occasions in recent months by transferring cargoes at sea, according to two senior Western European security sources, providing an economic lifeline to the secretive Communist state.

The sales of oil or oil products from Russia, the world's second biggest oil exporter and a veto-wielding member of the United Nations Security Council, breach U.N. sanctions, the security sources said.

The transfers in October and November indicate that smuggling from Russia to North Korea has evolved to loading cargoes at sea since Reuters reported in September that North Korean ships were sailing directly from Russia to their homeland.

"The Russian vessels made transfers at sea to the North Koreans," the first security source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told Reuters. The source said the transfers of oil or oil products took place on several occasions and were a breach of sanctions. (Read more)

- Lord, as nations attempt to go around the UN sanctions, we pray that You will continue to reveal their actions. We ask that You step in where nations refuse.

- "But the folly of fools is deceit." (Proverbs 14:8b)

6. South Korea seizes second ship suspected of selling oil to North Korea - Fox News

South Korea announced Sunday that it has seized another ship suspected of violating U.N. sanctions by selling oil to North Korea at sea - this time a Panama-flagged one.

The announcement Sunday came just days after South Korea said it is holding the crew of a Hong Kong-flagged ship that allegedly handed over oil to a North Korean vessel in October.

The 5,100-ton ship, named the KOTI, is being held in the western port of Pyeongtaek-Dangjin, maritime officials told Yonhap News Agency on Sunday. One official said the vessel has been blocked from departing the port since Dec. 21. The KOTI's crew are mostly from China and Burma, other officials added, declining to elaborate further on an ongoing investigation. (Read more)

- Lord as China defies the sanctions against North Korea, we pray that our leaders will not be fooled by their deceit, nor that of Russia. We ask for a move of Your Spirit in those nations to bring to light all things hidden.

- "Therefore do not fear them. For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known." (Matthew 10:26)

7. Trump: 'No More' Aid to Pakistan, 'They Have Given Us Nothing but Lies and Deceit'- Breitbart

President Donald Trump lashed out at Pakistan on Twitter just a few minutes past 7:00 a.m. Eastern time on New Year's Day, expressing frustration at Islamabad's inadequate efforts against terrorism and implying that U.S. foreign aid will be terminated as a result.

It is not yet clear whether the "no more" exclamation means the complete or partial termination, or temporary suspension, of American aid to Pakistan.

If the complete termination of U.S. foreign aid does indeed become official policy, it would be a far more dramatic step than withholding all or part of America's $255 million in military assistance to Pakistan, a measure reportedly under consideration by the administration over the past few days after Pakistan refused to allow U.S. interrogators access to a captured terrorist from the hostage-taking Haqqani network. (Read more)

- Lord, we thank You once again that the President sees truth regarding where American taxpayer money is going in the funding of terrorists. We pray for Your wisdom, Your strength, Your hand to lead him toward re-directing funds to where they will do the most good.

- "You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies."
(Psalm 119:98a)

8. Guterres Issues Red Alert for World - Newsmax

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres issued a "red alert" for the international community in a message on Sunday, saying that in "fundamental ways the world has gone in reverse" since his January 2017 appeal for peace.

"Conflicts have deepened and new dangers have emerged," he warned, adding that "global anxieties about nuclear weapons are the highest since the Cold War."

The secretary-general also cited as concerns the rising danger of climate change, a growth in inequalities, horrific violations of human rights and increased nationalism and xenophobia.

Guterres stressed that unity is the only answer to solving the world's problems and urged leaders "everywhere to make this New Year's resolution: narrow the gaps. Bridge the divides. Rebuild trust by bringing people together around common goals." (Read more)

- Father, we discern that any "unity" between peoples of the world must be the unity of the Holy Spirit, not false unity through political actions. While the world truly is on the brink, we ask that You, Lord God Almighty, bring the kind of peace and heart change that really matters.

- "Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?" (Amos 3:3)

9. Trump Fires Entire Council on HIV/AIDS With No Explanation - Newsmax

President Donald Trump has dismissed all 16 members of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS without giving an explanation. Scott Schoettes, a longtime HIV/AIDS activist who resigned from the council in June over the president's inaction on the issue, announced that the rest of the council had been terminated on Wednesday. Schoettes wrote in an op-ed in Newsweek after resigning that "the Trump Administration does not take the on-going epidemic or the needs of people living with HIV seriously." (Read more)

- Father, we thank You that this President is trimming the excess from a government that has crept into nearly every area of life in America. We pray for an increase in wisdom and understanding for him.

- "Give instruction to a wise man and he will be still wiser; teach a just man, and he will increase in learning." (Proverbs 9:9)

10. Hillary Clinton backer paid $500G to fund women accusing Trump of sexual misconduct before Election Day, report says - Fox News

One of Hillary Clinton's wealthy pals paid $500,000 in an unsuccessful effort to fund women willing to accuse President Trump of sexual misconduct before the 2016 election, The New York Times reported Sunday. Susie Tompkins Buell, the founder of Esprit Clothing and a major Clinton campaign donor for many years, gave the money to celebrity lawyer Lisa Bloom who was working with a number of Trump accusers at the time, according to the paper's bombshell report.

Bloom solicited donors by saying she was working with women who might "find the courage to speak out" against Trump if the donors would provide funds for security, relocation and possibly a "safe house," the paper reported. (Read more)

- Father, the hearts of Trump's enemies are blatantly wicked, bringing deceitful actions like this in an attempt to take him down. We ask that the scales be removed from the eyes of all the American people so that the truth may be seen.

- "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked; who can know it?" (Jeremiah 17:9)

11. New Year's Eve Berlin: 'Safe Zones' supplied to protect women from sexual assaults - Washington Times

Germans who plan to welcome in the new year in Berlin will do so with "safe zones" intended to protect women from sexual assault. New Year's Eve parties two years ago in Cologne, Frankfurt, Hamburg, and other cities were marred by a slew of sexual assaults perpetrated by migrants from the Middle East and Northern Africa. German authorities seeking to avoid a repeat of the mayhem will staff Sunday night's Brandenburg Gate party with Red Cross social workers and psychologists at a designated "security point."

Assaulted women and those fleeing harassment can find refuge inside a "safety zone" at any time during the proceedings, BBC reported Friday. Police documents leaked in July 2016 showed the number of sexual assaults across Germany on New Year's Eve were much higher than initially reported. (Read more)

- Lord, Europe's thoughts on this assault issue seem backwards : instead of removing the source of the assault, they placate the problem. We ask for major heart change in all of Europe, to see the truth of a false religion and the lies they have perpetrated.

- "His truth shall be your shield and buckler." (Psalm 91:4c)

12. Colorado deputy killed, 4 others shot in 'ambush-style' attack outside Denver - Fox News

A New Year's Eve domestic disturbance call sparked an "ambush-style" attack that left one deputy dead, four others injured and two civilians wounded at an apartment complex just south of Denver. The suspect fired off around 100 rounds with a rifle at the Copper Canyon apartment community in Highlands Ranch, Douglas County Sheriff Tony Spurlock said. "They all went down, almost within seconds of each other," Spurlock said. The unnamed suspect, who died during the attack, was known to law enforcement, Spurlock said. He did not reveal exactly how the suspect died. (Read more)

- Lord, we pray that Your comfort will come to the families of these victims, and to law enforcement across America. The days are dark with evil, with police in a constant state of tension. We ask for Your move across America, to bring Your Light and hope to all.

- "Oh, send out Your light and Your truth! Let them lead me." (Psalm 43:3a)

Don't take satan's bait

Everyone is trying to make sense of all the violence across the country. These things are not new, but they seem to be getting worse. For example in a Christmas Eve Jot in 2008, I recounted the headlines of how a newlywed husband, eager to see what his wife had gotten him for Christmas, peeked inside the wrapping. The wife was so enraged that she stabbed her husband six times with a kitchen knife. A kitchen knife was also the weapon in New Jersey where a mother slashed her six year old son's throat, then tried to commit suicide. In Detroit, a woman committed suicide after shooting her husband and family dog dead with the same gun. Today we have stories of terrorist events and murders--leading up to and through the holidays.

Fires, family fights, murders, suicides, terrorist events, drunk driving deaths, even natural deaths seem to be more prevalent during the holiday season. People are stressed. They are rushing about, busy with the getting of and doing things, that life itself seems to take a backstage. Then there is that one little thing-a child asking that silly question for the tenth time, or the husband coming home a tad bit late, or the wife not getting that little thing done-and "boom" everything blows up and lives are changed forever. My household growing up was a wonderful place to be. But the only arguments I remember my parents having were during the holidays. Some stupid thing would go wrong and not even a well-prepared Secretary of State could successfully intervene.

We lived at our farm that had been in the family for over 200 years. And things were old and sometimes didn't work well. They didn't work well especially during the holidays when large family and friend gatherings were about to occur. One year, the well went dry just hours before my mother was to serve a meal to about 25 family members. She ordered a water truck to come fill the well. My dad said that the water would just run out of the well and that she just had to patiently wait for the water level to restore itself. This led to World War III. Mom was packing her bags and leaving this old farm house forever. Well, my Dad's patience with her saved the day, and a little help from a quick running spring gave us the water we needed. All was well.

But the point is that during holidays that celebrate the Savior of the world, Jesus Christ, the spiritual enemy presses in and tries to steal the joy of the season. Jesus said in John 10:10, "The thief comes not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." Remember that satan wants to destroy anything that would honor Christ-your holidays, your home, your family, even you. But Christ is a life giver. He came that we might have life to its fullest measure. So when those thoughts creep in that do not reflect the life-giving joy of Christ, cast them down before they become actions. If you can't seem to do that, call your pastor or a friend or 911. Don't take satan's bait.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Insight for Intercessors

Insight for Intercessors:

Special Edition - Prayers for Israel at the New Year

This coming year, we need to pray for Israel . . . that we might strip power from the lies that are operating, break down the demonic obstacles set up against Israel, and cut the tripwires that are intended to entrap and prosper ambushes against her. Pray that in 2018 Islam would be humiliated and its global downfall would begin.

ISSUE #1: THE PALESTINIANS

THE PALESTINIANS: they are not living in their destiny or occupying their appointed place in the Arab world. They have been duped and used by the Islamists and by the global elite, as a way to destroy Israel. They need to be able to receive truth, deliverance, revival, and healing, which the Lord desires to bring them.

Thousands of Palestinians rioted in the West Bank and Gaza for a 4th week; protesting Trump's Jerusalem declaration.

On Friday, IDF tanks and aircraft struck Hamas military posts in Gaza in response to cross-border rockets fire. The Iron Dome intercepted two of the three rockets fired into Israel. The third struck a building causing damage, but there were no casualties were reported in any of those incidents.

INCREASED SECURITY IN JERUSALEM in bearing fruit:

Since the start of 2107, 227 explosive devices were seized and 30 hostile incidents were averted at an early stage, before the attacker could reach Jerusalem. The Shin Bet chief, Nadav Argaman reported to the Knesset committee this week that the agency was able to foil 400 attacks this year . . . including 13 suicide attacks and eight kidnappings.

Prayer points:

--Praise the Lord for His intervention and protection against terror threats.

--Pray for the Palestinians to know, who they are, where they belong, and what their divine destiny really is in the God of Israel. Pray that they will be aware of being deceived and used, so that they will stand up against their true enemies, rather than blaming Israel for their plight in life.

--Pray for the status of Jerusalem to continue being an immovable heavy stone . . . that she will increase in recognition of being Israel's capital city and the seat of YHVH's government to come on the earth.

ISSUE #2: THE THREATS OF WAR AND ATTACK FROM THE NORTHERN BORDER . . . threats from Iran, Syria, Turkey, Hizbullah, and Russia

Iran and Hizbullah are encroaching southward, toward Israel's northern border. Their goal is to establish breach heads of operations there to be used against Israel. The Sunni alliances being formed with Israel need to be approached with great care. This involves the Saudis, Jordan, and Egypt. They are, after all, still Moslems with caliphate aspirations, and bound by conquest mandates required of all Moslems as recorded in the Koran.

Prayer points:

--Pray that the Lord would protect Israel's borders and that He would push back Israel's enemies. No war until He calls it, and until He fights for Israel in the battle.

--Pray for division, disunity, and mistrust to form between these co-conspirators planning Israel's demise. Pray for unity and single-mindedness founded in YHVH's leadership, within the Israel forces.

--Pray that the Israel military and government would be wise and divinely directed in regard to these new Sunni alliances. Give no secrets away.. Give no blind trust. Keep in mind that these Arab allies still have their own designs upon the territory of Israel and on Jerusalem.

ISSUE #3: PRIME MINISTER BIBI NETANYAHU . . . his safety, his wisdom, and his continuing leadership.

Prayer points:

--Pray for truth to prevail and for all false news and accusations to be exposed, seen, and overturned.

--Pray for the PM's ability to not only stay in leadership, but to excel in leadership, as long as the Lord wants Bibi to be the Prime Minister of Israel. Pray for Bibi to be centered, humble, honest, righteous, and close to the Lord. Pray for the people to recognize Bibi's divine appointment, his excellent leadership, and come to stand with him against the attacks.

--Pray for Bibi's physical protection . . . mental and emotional protection . . . as well as this same protection for his whole family. Make them strong and united.

Signs and Wonders

January will bring two supermoons, a blue moon, and a total lunar eclipse

Visible supermoons-full moons that appear when the moon is at its closest orbital point to Earth-aren't very rare. Having three in a row certainly is.

And that's exactly what astronomy fans are being treated to this winter.

The first supermoon appeared when the moon swung by Earth 26,500 km (approximately 16,500 miles) closer than usual on Dec. 3. It will reappear as a visible supermoon on New Year's Day 2018 and again on Jan. 31.

Visible supermoons appear 14% bigger and 30% brighter than full moons that occur at the farthest point in the moon's orbit. If you only have time to catch one episode of the trilogy, NASA recommends catching the last one, which will be extra special.

Not only is the second full moon of a month considered a blue moon, the Jan. 31 supermoon will also feature a total lunar eclipse, with totality visible from eastern Asia across the Pacific to western North America. During the eclipse, the moon will slowly lose its brightness and take on a reddish hue because of the way the atmosphere bends the light, says NASA. As a result, totally eclipsed moons are sometimes also called "blood moons." (Read more)

Young Boy Gives up Xbox to Buy Blankets for Homeless This Christmas

Nine-year-old Mikah Frye from Beachwood, Ohio knows that Christmas is truly more about giving than receiving. According to TheBlaze.com, Mikah told his family that he wanted to use the $300 to buy blankets for those who were homeless. (ChristianHeadlines.com) Read more

About CHPP

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
Friends may participate by receiving our daily prayer alerts. You may contact us at chpp1994@gmail.com for more information. CHPP is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt ministry. Thank you and God bless you!
