1. Talks to avert early elections fizzle as some party heads reportedly skip meet - Times of Israel

The Likud party said Sunday that there was no progress on talks to end the coalition crisis threatening to bring down the government due to a failure by ultra-Orthodox factions to agree among themselves on a military conscription bill they have vowed to pass.

"The coalition leaders meeting was held in a good atmosphere," a statement from the party said, adding, "There is still no agreed upon [legislative] formula between ultra-Orthodox parties. The coalition leaders are waiting for their version and afterwards will continue the discussions in order to solve the crisis."

Despite the Likud statement, neither United Torah Judaism chairman Deputy Health Minister Yaakov Litzman nor Yisrael Beytenu head Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman attended the meeting. Hebrew media reports said the meeting was disbanded within minutes due to the pair's absence.

2. PM: '61' is not an option - Israel National News

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu explained this morning, Sunday, at a meeting of Likud ministers his positions on possible solutions to the coalition crisis.

"We are working for a stable government that will work until the end of the term in November 2019," Netanyahu told the ministers. "We have great achievements and no small tasks ahead of us."

"In order for this to happen, all the factions have to reach an agreement and decide that we are continuing together. We are working to try to achieve this, because the citizens of Israel want a stable government that will complete its days," he said.

Netanyahu added, "One thing is clear: A government of 61 seats is unsustainable. That's clear to everyone. This morning, already, we understood that Likud members are conditioning votes on all sorts of things. 61 is not an option. Therefore, we will continue efforts today to come to a compromise.

3. Arabs advising Abbas to accept Trump peace plan or risk losing out - report - Times of Israel

A number of Arab countries have advised Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas to accept whatever US President Donald Trump proposes in the context of his long-awaited Middle East peace plan, according to a Thursday report.

The report in the the privately-owned Egyptian newspaper Al Shorouk cited an Arab diplomat in Cairo, who warned that the Palestinians may in the future "regret" not having accepted what they consider today to be too little.

One key Arab country relayed a message to Abbas which stated that "a realistic reading of the situation makes it imperative that the Arabs and Palestinians accept whatever is available," the diplomat told the paper. The paper described the unnamed diplomat as a "prominent" figure.

"Wisdom requires accepting the maximum of what is available now," the diplomat was quoted as saying. "The dealing should be in accordance with the logic of 'take and negotiate' so that we won't be surprised after a few years that the monster of settlements has devoured the Palestinian territories."

4. Abbas' heir apparent a 'Nablus warlord,' warns expert - World Israel News

Most Israelis have never heard of Mahmoud al-Aloul, the man that the media has named as heir apparent to 82-year old-Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas. In the Palestinian street, Aloul is known as a local Nablus strongman, with a terrorist resume. Until now his name was rarely, if ever, mentioned as a potential leader of the Palestinian people.

With Ramallah swirling with rumors about Abbas' health condition, and despite the fact that the Palestinian leader continues to maintain a busy schedule, the subject of a successor to Abbas has given the strong impression that he is on his way out and sooner rather than later. Last week Abbas was hospitalized at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

He suffers from serious heart problems, and according to Palestinian sources, he has stomach cancer as well. Until now the leading names mentioned to eventually replace Abbas have been former Fatah muscle Mohamed Dahlan, Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat, imprisoned Fatah leader Marwan Barghouti, former PA security chief Jibril Rajoub, Gen. Tawfik Tirawi, Dr. Muhammad a-Shatiyeh and Dr. Nasser al-Kidwa.

5. Terrorists open fire at two IDF posts - Israel National News

Terrorists opened fire at two IDF posts in Judea and Samaria on Saturday night, in two different incidents that occurred within one hour of each other. Near midnight, shots were fired at an IDF position near the Beitunia crossing, north of Jerusalem.

The IDF Spokesperson's Unit said that there were no injuries or damages, and that IDF soldiers are searching for the terrorists.

1. Trump to Meet With Kim Jong-un; Says 'Sanctions Will Remain Until an Agreement Is Reached' - CNS News

President Trump has accepted an invitation to meet with Kim Jong-un "at a place and time to be determined," White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed on Thursday night. The president meanwhile tweeted that a meeting was "being planned," and stressed that "sanctions will remain" in place until a denuclearization agreement has been reached. South Korean national security advisor Chung Eui-yong told reporters after briefing Trump at the White House earlier that during talks in Pyongyang this week, Kim Jong-un had "expressed his eagerness to meet President Trump as soon as possible."

"President Trump appreciated the briefing and said he would meet Kim Jong-un by May to achieve permanent denuclearization," Chung added. The South Korean official attributed the evident breakthrough to Trump's leadership and his policy of bringing "maximum pressure" to bear on the regime, along with "international solidarity." According to Chung, Kim has already made significant concessions - not just pledging to stop carrying out nuclear or ballistic missile tests but also accepting that U.S.-South Korean wargames - which he has consistently opposed and railed against - will go on. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we pray that all evil spirits of deception in Kim Jong-un will be bound and subdued through the Blood of Jesus so they cannot deceive Trump in any way. Reveal all evil motives in Jong-un regarding any meeting or association he may have with President Trump. Expose to Trump what is in the heart of Jong-un regarding his pride, haughtiness, arrogance, rebellion, ego, vanity, disobedience to the Lord, his selfishness, self-promotion and desire to draw up ungodly covenants, oaths or vows because he never intends to be loyal to Trump or America. Hold back Jong-un's nuclear and ballistic missile programs that they cannot move forward to expand their tests. We pray in the Name of Jesus and thank You for answering this prayer, Lord, amen.

- "The Lord has made bare His holy arm in the eyes of all the nations: and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God." (Isaiah 52:10)

2. Colombia Ambassador Pick's Testimony Spurs Questions About Role in Benghazi Aftermath - Free Beacon

Sen. Marco Rubio (R., Fla.) wants more answers from Joseph Macmanus, a career foreign service officer nominated for the post of U.S. ambassador to Colombia, about his role in helping former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton respond to the 2012 Benghazi attack. MacManus served as Clinton's executive assistant for several years and was part of her inner circle of three top aides. His role involved traveling with her and working closely with Cheryl Mills, Clinton's longtime aide and chief of staff, to help manage the professional office and staff. He also served for six months in the same role for Condoleezza Rice, President George W. Bush's second secretary of State.

During a Wednesday Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on Macmanus's nomination, Rubio pressed the nominee on exactly when, on the night of the incident, he knew the Benghazi attack was terrorism. Rubio's line of questioning during the hearing was aimed at trying to determine if Macmanus has any culpability for supporting or failing to debunk the Obama administration's initial public explanation that the Benghazi attack was the result of a simultaneous reaction to an anti-Islamic video. Internal State Department emails, obtained by Judicial Watch, show Macmanus was one of three top Clinton aides who knew the attack was terrorism within minutes of it happening. MacManus now serves as a top adviser to Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, who is strongly supporting his nomination and was able to push it through despite some opposition from officials within the White House, according to several knowledgeable sources. (Read more)

- Almighty God, we pray that You will intercept the nomination of Joseph Macmanus and bring to light the actual truth of his involvement with Hillary Clinton regarding the 2012 Benghazi attack. Expose all lies, Lord. Pull back the clouds of deception regarding this incident and bind all evil spirits that would attempt to take charge here. We release the voice of the Blood of Jesus against these demons and cast them under the feet of the Lord. Block this nomination by the power of Your Name, Jesus. We pray and believe You for the answer through Your Name, Jesus.

"And this Word, Yet once more, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain." (Hebrews 12:27)

3. Heller: Justice Kennedy To Retire Early This Summer - Daily Caller

Republican Sen. Dean Heller of Nevada told a group earlier in March that Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy will likely retire in the coming months, Politico reports. "Kennedy is going to retire around sometime early summer," Heller told a group in Las Vegas. "Which I'm hoping will get our base a little motivated because right now they're not very motivated. But I think a new Supreme Court justice will get them motivated."

Rumors have floated around Washington since June 2016 that Kennedy would retire, but the justice hasn't addressed those rumors publicly. Heller is up for re-election this year in a state that went for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election. Clinton took 47.9 percent of the vote in Nevada last year, edging out President Donald Trump's 45.5 percent. Heller also faces a Republican challenger in the primary that is very in-line with Trump's policies and could give him a serious run for his money. Like many Republicans, Heller sings the president's praises, trumpeting his leadership on tax reform, deregulation and his push for changing Senate rules to allow for a simple majority vote to pass legislation. (Read more)

- Father God, enclose the entire state of Nevada with a holy cloud of righteousness so that all the people will become Christ-centered. Lead them to vote according to God's will, amen. As another Justice is preparing to step down from serving on the Supreme Court, we lift up President Trump who, even now, is considering whom to bring before the Senate Judiciary Committee to fill this seat. Lord God, these are such weighty times. Help us all to walk in the fear of You in this holy moment. In Your Great Name, amen.

- "Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men! For He has broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder." (Psalm 107:15-16)

4. Trump's Lawyers Will Set Up An Interview With Mueller - On These Conditions - Daily Caller

President Donald Trump's lawyers are pursuing a deal with special counsel Robert Mueller, under which Mueller would commit to a definitive end-date to his investigation in exchange for an interview with Trump. The Wall Street Journal reports that Trump's lawyers, led by John Dowd, would make Trump available to Mueller if he agrees to end the Trump-related portions of his investigation by a certain date. A 60-day deadline has been suggested in this connection. The legal team would also like the special counsel to limit the scope of his questions to matters relating to the dismissals of former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn and former FBI Director James Comey. Flynn has since pleaded guilty to lying to federal investigators and is believed to be cooperating with Mueller. The story is sourced to an unnamed person familiar with the Trump legal team's thinking.

Dowd and his associates were previously recalcitrant about allowing Trump to answer questions from the special counsel, though they're repeatedly expressed willingness to cooperate with Muller's inquiry. Trump himself expressed willingness to meet with Mueller during a June 2017 press conference in the Rose Garden, though he later back away from those statements. The news comes the same day that former Trump campaign aide Sam Nunberg testified before a federal grand jury in Alexandria, Va. Trump has vigorously denied any collusion with Russian interests during the 2016 presidential campaign. Both Dowd and Mueller declined comment for the story. (Read more)

- Father God, dispatch angels to stand with President Trump regarding meeting with Robert Mueller. Reveal any sinister plot that would be a hidden trap regarding in an attempt to accuse President Trump of any collusion with Russian interests during the 2016 presidential campaign. Block the enemy at the gate. In the Name of Jesus we pray.

- "God, reveals the deep and secret things: He knows what is in the darkness, and the light dwells with Him." (Daniel 2:22)

5. Trump pardons Kristian Saucier, former sailor jailed for submarine pictures - Washington Examiner

President Trump issued the second pardon of his presidency Friday to former Navy sailor Kristian Saucier, who learned the news while driving a garbage truck, the only job he could find with a felony conviction. Saucier was sentenced to a year in prison during the 2016 campaign for taking pictures inside a nuclear submarine. Trump invoked his case repeatedly on the campaign trail, saying he was "ruined" for doing "nothing" compared to Hillary Clinton. Still, Trump allowed Saucier to serve his full prison sentence. He was released in September and returned to the Vermont home he shares with his wife Sadie and their two-year-old daughter. Saucier, now 31, was 22 years old when he took the cellphone photos in 2009. He pleaded guilty to one count of unauthorized retention of national defense information and his attorneys unsuccessfully requested the "Clinton deal," meaning little if any punishment.

"We're struggling," Saucier said in January, describing frequent calls from credit card debt collectors and an electricity bill payment plan. "No one will hire me because I'm a felon. All the skills I worked so hard for in the military are useless." Before the pardon, Saucier had several months left of wearing an ankle monitor. "When Kris gets home from work, when he gets to the door, I'm going to be a little emotional," Sadie Saucier told the Washington Examiner. "I can't believe it happened, I don't think it's set in yet." Sadie Saucier said she notified her husband of the pardon via text message as he drove his garbage truck through a mountainous area with poor reception. "I just was able to say 'Hey' via a text message, 'You got a pardon.' All he said was, 'What!' with a big exclamation point," she said. "I am very grateful," Sadie Saucier said. "It's going to be a huge for our family. And a huge reality when probation calls and the ankle monitor is taken off, that's going to be a big one." (Read more)

- Almighty God, Mr. Saucier committed a crime. The court tried him and sentenced him to time in prison. He served his sentenced time in full. President Trump has pardoned him to live as a free man with his family. They continue to live under the shadow of his mistake. You, Lord, are the highest judge of all courts. Send Mr. Saucier and his family someone to be used by the Holy Spirit to lead them to You if they don't know You. You ways are always standing for the good of all people. May this man's life become an instrument lead by You to show others the way to the cross. Thank You, Lord, for loving us even in our mistakes. We give You honor and praise, dear Lord, amen.

- "For as many as have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and as many as have sinned in the law will be judged by the law (for not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified." (Romans 2:12-13)

6. Florida's governor signs compromise school safety bill - Circa

Flanked by family members of students who were killed during a mass shooting just over three weeks ago, Florida Gov. Rick Scott on Friday signed a $400 million school safety bill in response to the tragedy that killed 17 people at a high school. He said the bill, which was written since the shooting, balances "our individual rights with need for public safety. It's an example to the entire country that government can and has, moved fast." The bill isn't what many of the shooting's survivors, or the school's students, wanted - they said it doesn't go far enough. It also marks Scott's break with the National Rifle Association, and the group's powerful lobbyist called the bill "a display of bullying and coercion" that would violate Second Amendment rights and punish law-abiding citizens.

It raises the minimum age to buy rifles from 18 to 21 and creates a waiting period on sales of the weapons. It also creates a so-called "guardian" program that enables teachers and other school employees in participating districts to carry handguns if they complete law enforcement training. He said he's signing the legislation because it makes schools safer. He singled out two fathers whose children were killed, saying that they walked the halls of the Legislature since the shooting to enact change. "I know the debate on all these issues will continue. And that's healthy in our democracy," he said. "This is a time for all of us to come together, roll up our sleeves and get it done." (Read more)

- Father God, no man can make a law that will change the hearts of those who want to use a gun improperly. Taking lives by the hand of a person with a gun is not acceptable. Only You can change the intention of those people. No gun has ever been fired intentionally without a finger on the trigger. Change hearts and minds to do good for Your kingdom. Give wisdom and knowledge to all people to end gun violence. May those who wish to kill others be lead to You to see Your light in themselves instead of evil darkness for eternity. Let their ways become Your ways. We love You, Yahweh-Shammah, amen.

- "The Lord thundered from heaven, And the Most High uttered His voice, Hailstones and coals of fire." (Psalm 18:13)

7. ALERT! What parents should know about the National School Walkout (Wed., March 14th) - USA Today

As students across the nation prepare to walk out of schools March 14, some parents are questioning how best to support their children.

The National School Walkout, a protest taking place in hundreds of locations, has become a topic of controversy as some schools vow not to support it. The walkout is part of a greater movement spurred by student survivors of the Parkland, Fla., school shooting asking for stricter gun laws. (Read more)

- Father God, we ask that Your Hand of protection would rest upon each young person who will participate in this nationwide protest on Wednesday. We understand that this walkout will last for 17 minutes, in honor of the 17 students in Parkland who were slain. We come against the spirit that is attempting to have students "relive" this trauma, preventing healing of these violent memories.

Lord, we ask this same prayer of protection to be upon those who will march on the streets of America, on behalf of safe schools (and gun control) on Saturday, March 24th. We ask that You dry up the funding for these events, and cut off the supply lines from other sources. Father, help us all to find Your way in these days, in Your name, amen.

- "We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you." (2 Chronicles 20:12)

8. Industry Leaders Defend Violent Video Games in Meeting With Trump - Daily Signal

President Donald Trump met Thursday with representatives of the video game industry to discuss the impact of violent games as he advocates ways to make schools safer. In many mass shootings, such as the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre in Connecticut and the Columbine High School shooting in Colorado, a common denominator was that the shooters were "violent video game fanatics," said Brent Bozell, president of the Media Research Center, who was part of the meeting. News reports, citing public records in Florida, said the Parkland shooter, Nikolas Cruz, threw his mother against a wall for taking away his video games. Classmates said Cruz would play video games for 12 or 15 hours a day.

CNN reported last month that a study by a Michigan State University professor, using survey data from more than 6,000 middle school students, found no correlation between video games and violent behavior. However, in a 2015 policy statement, the American Psychological Association said research shows a link "between violent video game use and both increases in aggressive behavior and decreases in prosocial behavior, empathy, and moral engagement." (Read more)

- Holy Father, violent video games cannot be defended as having no impact on those who play them. These games are not what You would choose for anyone's mind or for their time. Those defending these video games are not concerned with the negative impact of these games. They are only concerned with the money they are making from the games. Let the Holy Spirit guide President Trump in making the decision to ban or to restrict these games for use by our children. Life is precious and it is not a game. May those that do not know or care what they are doing come to know You and Your ways. Give the creators of these violent games the knowledge to create games that show Your love and plans for each person as You will. Let the evil of these games be turned to good to lead people to You for salvation. If they refuse Your way, take down this industry. Thank You, Lord, amen.

- "For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their iniquity hidden from My eyes." (Jeremiah 16:17)

9. AFL-CIO, United Steel Workers Praise Trump for Tariffs They Couldn't Get Dems to Impose - CNS News

Two major union leaders praised President Donald Trump for imposing steel tariffs that they've been trying - unsuccessfully - "for decades" to get from Democrats. Both United Steel Workers President Leo Gerard and AFL-CIO President Richard Trumka took to MSNBC Wednesday to tout the tariffs and deride the Democrats. "What he did is what we've been fighting for for more than 30 years," Gerard said. "What makes me sad is we've been trying to get Democrats to do this for more than 30 years." "Donald Trump was able to see the steel worker agenda," Gerard said, adding that "It's going to make it very hard for our members to ignore what he just did."

"We've been advocating for the use of tariffs to make sure that cheaters stop cheating for over a decade right now," Trumka said in his appearance. The tariffs won't just help the steel industry, but will benefit the entire nation, Trumka said: "We need to protect our industry from cheating. That is what these tariffs can do. We're excited about it and we think it is good for the country but we think it is good for the industry." (Read more)

- We praise You, Father, for the unity shown for the tariff policies of this administration from these powerful unions. We ask You to bless all the efforts of our President to bring fairness to the US trade policies so that we may prosper in this country and be respected internationally. We pray these people will remember who brought this change when it is time to vote again. Thank You for giving our President wisdom.

- "When a man's ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him." (Proverbs 16:7)

10. An Opportunity for Real Reform at DHS - Daily Signal

On Wednesday, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee passed its version of a Department of Homeland Security reauthorization bill that was passed by the House last year. This could be the first time DHS will be reauthorized since its creation-and it also creates a chance to reform the department in several key ways. For instance, a reauthorization bill can address the major problem of DHS' current management structure. Weaknesses and divisions in the current structure prohibit management from effectively doing its job.

To further strengthen DHS, the myriad of different DHS headquarter offices should be consolidated to reduce the number of direct reports to the secretary and to improve DHS operations. The House bill addressed this problem by creating the Office of External Affairs. Led by a principle assistant secretary, this office would consolidate the current offices of Legislative Affairs, Partnership and Engagement, and Public Affairs. It would be wise for the Senate to take such an approach as well. Furthermore, both chambers should consider merging the Office of Civil Liberties and the Office of Privacy. (Read more)

- Praise You, Lord, that this department has come under scrutiny for streamlining and reducing the size of government. We pray this overdue restructuring will be acted on swiftly and in a way that all will agree to. Thank you for the continual reviewing of our bureaucracy to make our government serve the people rather than the people existing to serve the power structure.

- "Let all things be done decently and in order." (1 Corinthians 14:40)

11. Suspected gunman, three women found dead after hostage situation at veterans home in California - Washington Examiner

A suspected gunman and three women were found dead in the veterans home in Yountville, Calif., where hostages had been taken earlier in the day Friday. Police said they discovered the bodies in a room at the Veterans Home of California-Yountville, located about 50 miles west of Sacramento, Calif., at around 6 p.m. local time. "This is a tragic piece of news, one that we were really hoping we wouldn't have to come before the public to give," said Chris Childs, an assistant chief of the California Highway Patrol, according to NBC News.

The identities of the suspect, believed to have been armed with a rifle, and the women have not been released, and Childs said the investigation is ongoing. Childs also said a bomb-sniffing dog had sniffed out the suspect's car, but no bombs were found. Child said there is "no threat to public safety," per the Associated Press. The facility where the incident took place is a retirement and assisted living home for veterans. It's the largest veterans' home in the country and houses 1,100 aged or disabled veterans who served in World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Desert Storm, and Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom. VA Secretary David Shulkin tweeted his agencies condolences to the loved ones involved. "We are deeply saddened and affected by the tragic outcome of the hostage situation at the Veterans Home of California in Yountville and extend our deepest condolences to the loved ones involved," he said. "We ask for patience as we continue to monitor emerging details." (Read more)

- Father God, reach out to the bereaved relatives of these victims and bring solace to their hearts by Your great love. And Lord, bring a major change to this Veterans Home of California in Yountville so that the patients who have been living there, some since World War II, would be healed and released to go to their homes and live normal lives. Lord, assign a holy angel at the door of this facility that will prevent killers from entering this home. Lift the spirit of fear off the patients and search out any other possible killers in their midst and bring police protection to pull them out. We pray in the Name of Jesus who is Lord over all, amen.

- "Vengeance belongs unto Me, I will recompense, says the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge His people. It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God." (Hebrews 10:30-31)

Trump to open talks with N Korea

While not specifically mentioned in the Bible, Russia, China and N Korea have a long history of arming Islamic regimes hostile to Israel. It appears that the tough negotiating posture taken by President Donald Trump has brought the N Korean dictatorship to agree to talks with the US, a temporary freeze on nuclear and missile tests, and the hope that this drawn out drama on the world stage will end. The South Korean government served as the intermediary to broker the talks. Trump has done what other presidents failed to do. History documents that President Bill Clinton originally gave N Korea nuclear technology, a reckless action that may have accelerated prophecy by aiding the principalities of darkness.

President Clinton's long-held belief on nuclear weapons was that if everyone had them, nobody would use them and the world would be a safer place. On June 11, 1993, the US agreed to not use force or nuclear weapons against North Korea if it remained in the nonproliferation treaty. North Korea continued to develop its nuclear weapons program. On October 18, 1994, after 17 months of negotiations, Clinton signed a deal to give North Korea light water reactor nuclear technology if it stopped building nuclear weapons, saying, "Today all Americans should know that as a result of this achievement on Korea, our Nation will be safer and the future of our people more secure."

In his commitment to communist North Korea, Clinton is quoted as saying, "This US-North Korean agreement will help to achieve a long-standing and vital American objective: an end to the threat of nuclear proliferation on the Korean peninsula." Heritage Foundation archives document in an October 20 letter to North Korean strongman Kim Jong Il, (father of current dictator Kim Jong Un) Clinton vastly expanded America's commitments under the formal agreement to finance fuel shipments and reactors, ease its long-standing trade embargo and move toward first-ever diplomatic relations with North Korea. North Korea went on to develop nuclear weapons and to assist Iran in its nuclear weapons program.

Instead of having a safer future, the world is far more dangerous because of Clinton's reckless shenanigans. Thanks to Clinton, North Korea has lethal power, presenting a future that threatens many lives. Romans 12:18 says, "If it be possible, as much as lies in you, live peaceably with all men." Peace is a two-way street, especially when millions of lives are at stake. While no American president has ever met with a N Korean leader, Trump is taking a shot at ending what Clinton foolishly began. Sadly, the immediate past "president" also opened the door for a traditional enemy of Israel to attain nuclear weapons-Iran. Trump may also have to deal with that threat to mankind as well.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Upcoming Supreme Court Battle - Tuesday, March 20, 2018

On March 20, the U.S. Supreme Court will hear oral argument in a very important case involving abortion and free speech. Can the government of California force Christian crisis pregnancy centers to advertise to women they can get free abortions from the state?

The brief of Operation Outcry and The Justice Foundation focused on the unconstitutionality of these onerous, strict advertising requirements for unlicensed, volunteer, Christian based charities. It was prepared and filed on our behalf by Life Legal Defense Fund for which we are grateful. Our brief was joined by Priests for Life as well.

If you are a part of Operation Outcry, you will be before the Court through our Brief. If you are a supporter of The Justice Foundation, your support made it possible to file this brief and you are a part of this case as well. We could not have done it without either one of you. If you are one of the 74,000 Moral Outcry signers as of January 2018, your name is in the brief as one who believes that abortion is a crime against humanity.

You can be "present" in prayer, either physically or spiritually. The Christian Plaintiff in the case is calling for massive Christian prayer presence outside the Supreme Court on the day of Oral Argument. If you can be in DC on March 20, I urge you to join the rally outside the Supreme Court from 9:00 am to noon.

Why is your presence necessary? I believe the short history of the battle over our last defeat at the U.S. Supreme Court will show the importance of mass organized prayer.

The Texas Ambulatory Surgical Center law, HB 2, which was struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2016 was first brought up for a vote in the Texas Senate on the last day of the Texas regular session. Senator Wendy Davis became a lion of the pro-choice movement (with a heroic movie to be made about her starring Sandra Bullock glamorizing a woman's right to choose) did a filibuster. She also invited what I remember as "the mob" to come and assist her in the Texas Capitol. Angry, chanting, bullying, vulgar people came and they won.
The next day I visited the Texas Capitol and the Governor of Texas, Rick Perry at the time, called for a special session.I visited with the Lt. Governor who begged us to bring pro-life people of all walks of life to the Capitol. He said, "We are under siege. We need help. Get everybody here." And our side responded. The prayer movement united with 24/7 prayer but they showed up. Families and mothers in wheelchairs showed up. When the other side literally chanted, "Hail, Satan" (it is on YouTube), our side responded with worship songs and rejoicing in the Lord. I have never heard worship being spontaneously sung by large crowds of Christians in the Texas Capitol before or since.
The pro-abortion people came out in more force at night and toward midnight the Department of Public Safety told us to leave the gallery with our women of Operation Outcry and go to a friendly Senator's office and lock the doors. They could not guarantee our safety any more. This is how nasty the forces of darkness fight. We did win that night. We won at the 5th Circuit because we had a solid pro-life majority. There was prayer in the courtroom during that oral argument. But when the case got to the U.S. Supreme Court, there was a small amount of prayer and a specialized prayer team who were present. The pro-abortion mob howled outside, chanting vulgarities.
If you want to know more about praying at, in and for the Supreme Court, or want to join us there, click here.

Finally, if you would like to review the brief, click here to see our press release on its filing. Their is a link to the brief in the press release.

You can pray wherever you are. Please pray for the Supreme Court.
"First of all, then, I urge that entreaties and prayers, petitions and thanksgivings, be made on behalf of all men, 2 for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4 who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6 who gave Himself as a ransom for all, the testimony given at the proper time. 7 For this I was appointed a preacher and an apostle (I am telling the truth, I am not lying) as a teacher of the Gentiles in faith and truth. 8 Therefore I want the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissension." Position Open for an Administrative Assistant

Dear Friends,

We bless you ALL today in the Name of our Lord, amen!

Over the past year, it has become increasingly clear that the time has come for me to bring on board an Administrative Assistant, who can help me keep pace with the increasing workload of this rapidly exploding ministry.
This is not a full-time position, but instead one that will be set in place on a part-time basis. Scheduling will also be flexible from week to week.
My Assistant needs to be available to take care of all personal correspondence; help with filing and keeping my office organized; and be available to take calls and relay messages to me when I am out of the office.
This will be a "paid volunteer" position.
If you live in northern Virginia and can give me a hand, please send me an email, including your resume and the recommendation of your pastor or other spiritual authority under whom you have covering.
Thank you for considering this opportunity, and that the right person will come along who will be able to spend several hours each week in this new position.
God bless you,

Sara Ballenger

Classic Hymns

AND CAN IT BE THAT I SHOULD GAIN?

"The angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, 'Arise up quickly.' And his chains fell off from his hands." (Acts 12:7)

Lyrics

And can it be that I should gain An interest in the Savior's blood? Died He for me, who caused His pain- For me, who Him to death pursued? Amazing love! How can it be, That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me? Amazing love! How can it be, That Thou, my God, shouldst die for me?

'Tis mystery all: th'Immortal dies: Who can explore His strange design? In vain the firstborn seraph tries To sound the depths of love divine. 'Tis mercy all! Let earth adore, Let angel minds inquire no more. 'Tis mercy all! Let earth adore; Let angel minds inquire no more.

He left His Father's throne above So free, so infinite His grace- Emptied Himself of all but love, And bled for Adam's helpless race: 'Tis mercy all, immense and free, For O my God, it found out me! 'Tis mercy all, immense and free, For O my God, it found out me!

Long my imprisoned spirit lay, Fast bound in sin and nature's night; Thine eye diffused a quickening ray- I woke, the dungeon flamed with light; My chains fell off, my heart was free, I rose, went forth, and followed Thee. My chains fell off, my heart was free, I rose, went forth, and followed Thee.

Still the small inward voice I hear, That whispers all my sins forgiven; Still the atoning blood is near, That quenched the wrath of hostile Heaven. I feel the life His wounds impart; I feel the Savior in my heart. I feel the life His wounds impart; I feel the Savior in my heart.

No condemnation now I dread; Jesus, and all in Him, is mine; Alive in Him, my living Head, And clothed in righteousness divine, Bold I approach th'eternal throne, And claim the crown, through Christ my own. Bold I approach th'eternal throne, And claim the crown, through Christ my own.

Signs and Wonders

Brilliant Fireball Lights Up the Sky Over Washington

A space rock slammed into Earth's atmosphere over the Pacific Northwest on Wednesday night (March 7), putting on a brief but brilliant sky show, according to media reports.

The fireball and associated boom were caused by an object about the size of a minivan. It streaked over Washington and eventually fell, in smoldering bits and broken-up pieces, into the Pacific Ocean about 14 miles (22 kilometers) off the state's coast, NASA meteor expert Marc Fries told Seattle TV station Q13 Fox.

And there were a lot of those pieces raining down.

It's really dramatic in the radar imagery, to the point that this is probably the biggest meteorite fall I've seen in the continental U.S. in the past 20 years," Fries, who's based at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, told Q13 Fox.

Hundreds of people reported seeing the fireball Wednesday night, Q13 Fox said. And scientists picked up readings of the event, using seismographs and satellites, from as far away as the Canadian province of Manitoba.

Technically, any meteor that blazes more brightly than Venus in the sky is a fireball. Wednesday's meteor was an uber-fireball, a superluminous type known as a bolide, Fries said. (Space.com) Read more.

The Good News Corner:

A Defiant Netanyahu Opens UN Exhibit on Jerusalem:

Thanks Nikki Haley for Being a "Tsunami of Fresh Air"

"This [Jerusalem] exhibit would not have been possible 10 years ago. And this exhibit will be unnecessary 10 years from now. We are changing the world. We are changing Israel's position in the world, and above all we are making it clear that we fight for the truth and for our rights. We also fight for security." -Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited the United Nations headquarters in New York on Thursday, where he met U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley and toured an exhibit about the Jewish people's connection to Jerusalem.

"I wanted to tell you how much we appreciate the defense of Israel and the truth that the president [U.S. President Donald Trump] and you bring into these cloistered halls that are so damp, you know, with anti-Israel venom," Netanyahu told Haley.

"It's not just a breath of fresh air; it's like a tsunami of fresh air." (Breaking Christian News) Read more.

About CHPP

About Capitol Hill Prayer Partners

Our Mission Statement

Capitol Hill Prayer Partners (CHPP) is a ministry which is positioned on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., helping members of the Body of Christ to "pray for those in authority over us" in our federal government. Our primary purpose is to offer intercession on site for the members of Congress and their staffs each day that the Senate and the House of Representatives are in session; and our chief prayer focus is that "God's will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." [Matthew 6:10].

Because Jesus Christ has shed His blood for all, we, too, pray for ALL, in a nonpartisan manner. Also, because the scriptures indicate that "the effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much" (James 4:17), we are confident that fervent prayer, offered in the halls of the highest chambers of government in our land, can avail much for America. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners welcomes those who feel called to join us, engaging in this strategic work of intercession for our nation: "For there is no power but of God; the powers that be are ordained of God." [Romans 13:1]
Friends may participate by receiving our daily prayer alerts. You may contact us at chpp1994@gmail.com for more information. CHPP is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt ministry. Thank you and God bless you!
